Welcome to another adventure of the Ninja Please podcast  *TRIGGER WARNING* This episode contains conversations about suicide and self-harm as well as personal accounts of attempted self-transition.  On November 19th, 2022 many of the US and around the world lost a hero. Around 6 am on 11/19/22 it was reported that famed Power Ranger Star and Undefeated renowned world Martial Artist champion, Jason David Frank took his own life. In the following weeks, many questions surrounding the circumstances of his death arose but remained unanswered do to respect for his family and their privacy. While these questions do linger in our minds we choose not to dwell on the why but choose to honor his memory by reflecting on how his life and career as not just an actor (Tommy Oliver) but the many ways JDF as a person impacted us all growing up. To many, he was the green ranger but to a few, he was a symbol of self-confidence,  perseverance, and determination. On the afternoon of October 24th, 2015, 32-year-old Nick Clavier was driving down Hull Road in Chesterfield, Virginia with his four children. They had planned to go fishing at a nearby pond, before returning home for a family movie night while his wife Melody was out of town. But on the drive, something happened leading Nick's vehicle to go over an embankment where it eventually crashed into a tree. Though the children were not harmed in the accident, Nick suffered a considerable amount of head trauma. When police arrived on scene, they located a firearm on the driver's side floorboard, leading law enforcement to question if Nick had potentially shot himself. In the great movie, "The Stuntman" an escaped prisoner (Steve Railsback) stumbles onto a movie set where they're filming a WWI movie. The director of the film played Peter O'Toole seizes the opportunity to use Railsback as a stunt man in his film. O'Toole and his wild production crew turn reality on it's head, as Railsback veers back and forth from his movie life to so called real life.We look at some footage from a 2017 Ukrainian movie called, "Heroes Never Die" that sells the idea of war and patriotism through the lens of a Ukrainian war film that's part predictive programming, part embellishment of an actual event and almost 100% propganda.We look at some scenes from the film and juxtapose it with footage from a bouncer from England, traveling through Ukraine, videotaping a lot purposeful looking sets and set ups, but through his lens, no actual war.

I first met Lucie Pohl at the Edinburgh Arts Festival where we were both performing at the same venue. I may not have won the top prize at Edinburgh that year but my friendship with Lucie has been more valuable to me than any little statuette. She wrote and performs the brilliant one person show that is called 'Hi Hitler', a tour de force of human emotions about her life story as a German immigrant to New York City. I love this show so much that I believe that it would be a crime against humanity if this were not made into a Netflix special. In her new one hour show 'Apohlcalypse Now' she candidly bares a season of bad choices that shadowed her while she was making a film in Turkey. In recent year's Lucie played a wise cracking scientist in the British cult classic Red Dwarf and Rolling Stone magazine recently called her one of The Beatles of voice over work for the character she plays in Overwatch. Time to go back to the archives again as we revisit a criminally overlooked classic with Resident Evil: Dead Aim/Gun Survivor 4: Heroes Never Die. This particular title is a favourite amongst the REP team and we break the game down and see how it has stood up to the test of time. Originally recorded in April 2012 this episode also features a comprehensive breakdown of the Resident Evil 6 Captivate trailer and several Alex Wesker theories years before Revelations 2 was born. We also discuss how Japanese translations have revealed a completely different outlook on the history of the t-Virus, providing yet another example of how much Western audiences are missing out on important plot details. It wasn't just Aya or Wally West's "deaths" that were bad, it was the fact that DC Nation will never be the same again as Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Young Justice: Invasion are now gone from Cartoon Network. But, as you will hear in this recording of that day's Live Show Event hosted by DC Nation Podcast hosts Dan Schmidt & Michael J. Petty, with guest host Andy Behbakht, it may not be the end of these shows forever. However, in this ATA Live Show, the Trio discussed the Green Lantern: The Animated Series series finale "Dark Matter" & the Young Justice: Invasion series finale "Endgame".
