Was DC Jewish Museum Shooting A False Flag?

Two Israeli Embassy employees were shot and killed Wednesday night as they left the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C. The suspect in the killing, identified as 30-year-old Elias Rodriguez of Chicago, was initially "observed pacing back and forth outside of the museum" before he approached a group of four people, "produced a handgun," and shot the two victims.  As he was handcuffed, Rodriguez repeatedly shouted "Free Palestine.” The shooting was being investigated as a hate crime, a law enforcement source said. Jimmy and Americans' Comedian Kurt Metzger discuss the details of the case that don't exactly add up, and Israel's history of staging false flag operations to achieve geopolitcal objectives. Plus segments on Piers Morgan's recent turn against Israel, Trump's “Big, Beautiful Bill” passing the House and evidence that the Biden administration covered up serious side effects from the mRNA vaccines.  Also featuring Stef Zamorano, Kim Bright and Mary Holland. And a phone call from JD Vance!

Our show opens with the Big, Beautiful Bill passing out of the House by one vote. We do spend time discussing why some things could not be in this bill, because the only way to get it through the Senate is via the reconciliation process. It's not the right way to do any of this, but the Trump administration has to play within the framework of how Congress is currently behaving. Plus, all the talk about cuts are from Democrats who continue to say the opposite of anything Trump is doing in their bid to always be America last. After the meeting with the president of South Africa, it seems all of those “journalists” out there ran with the same headline, almost as if they were all on the same team. Go figure! We then examine a few news stories, which remind us that the violence, rage and vitriol are almost always contained on the Left. We cover the bombing of a fertility clinic, followed by the cold-blooded murder of two people leaving a Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., their killer screaming to “Free. Free. Free Palestine.” The Left fomented a call for a global intifada, now they have it. The Auto-Pen scandal continues to grow, thanks to a senior Biden official turning whistleblower to Attorney Ed Martin in the DOJ. Assistant AG Harmeet Dhillon was on Tucker Carlson's show and shared stories of emotionally unhinged lawyers who had to quit to Civil Rights division of the DOJ. Finally, Politico says Democrats are worried about fund-raising and in-fighting heading into the 2026 mid-terms. A host of exhibitions and events this month and next celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Swiss artist Jean Tinguely, one of the godfathers of kinetic and auto-destructive art. Ben Luke speaks to Roland Wetzel, the director of the Tinguely Museum in Basel about the artist's life and work, and the events marking the centenary. In Rotterdam in the Netherlands, Fenix, a museum about migration, has just opened, featuring a dramatic stainless steel tornado form on its roof. We discuss the museum with its director, Anne Kremers. And this episode's Work of the Week is by an immigrant artist, Ben Shahn, who was born in modern-day Lithuania but travelled as a child to the US, where he became a leading painter associated with Social Realism. Among his greatest achievements was the mural The Meaning of Social Security, painted between 1940 and 1942 in Washington D.C. to reflect the benefits of the then-recent Social Security Act. Shahn is the subject of a major show that opened this week at the Jewish Museum in New York.

Visit our Substack for bonus content and more: https://designbetterpodcast.com/p/trenton-doyle-hancock Aarron's friend Trenton Doyle Hancock did something remarkable when they were both in the graduate Painting and Drawing program at the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia—he had work in the Whitney Biennial. It was a bit like winning an Oscar while in acting school, just not something that ever happens. Most people are thrown by early success, but not Trenton. He pressed forward in his studio where he crafted epic stories in large scale paintings that later expanded into installations, sculptures, and performance art. His creative process is unique. Piles of collected objects, receipts, food wrappers, etc find their way into his work where their color, texture and attitude unfold as the fabric of Trenton's universe of heroes, villains, and ancient mysteries. We spoke with Trenton about his neurodivergent approach to the world, how collecting influences his visual sensibilities, and how chaos becomes precise order in his work. At the time of our recording, Trenton had a large show at the Jewish Museum in New York exploring intersecting themes in his work and that of Philip Guston. Bio For nearly two decades, Trenton Doyle Hancock has created a vivid, fantastical universe where autobiographical elements blend seamlessly with references to art history, comics, superheroes, and popular culture. Through paintings, drawings, and expansive installations, Hancock crafts complex narratives exploring themes of good versus evil, infused with personal symbolism and mythology. His work draws stylistically from artists like Hieronymus Bosch, Max Ernst, Henry Darger, Philip Guston, and R. Crumb, integrating text as both narrative driver and visual element. His distinctive storytelling has extended beyond gallery walls into performances, ballet collaborations such as Cult of Color: Call to Color with Ballet Austin, and murals at prominent public spaces including Dallas Cowboys Stadium and Seattle Art Museum's Olympic Sculpture Park. *** Premium Episodes on Design Better This is a premium episode on Design Better.
