This approach has resulted in a high conversion rate and improved customer satisfaction. The conversation with Jason Elkins focused on the importance of personalized and timely service in the travel industry. He emphasized that the first company to develop a relationship with a prospective traveler often wins the business. However, many tour operators struggle to provide quick responses and customized attention. This is where AI assistants can play a crucial role. It's been 10 months since fierce fighting between the Sudanese army and the parliamentary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) broke out. A civil war that continues to heavily impact Sudan and its civilians. Earlier this month, the United Nations appealed for just over $4 billion to fund humanitarian operations in the country and neighbouring countries hosting refugees. They've described human suffering of epic proportions and say nearly nine million people have been displaced. More recently, Sudan has been plunged into an internet blackout. The blackout has left people in the country unable to access essential services, like transferring money. To find out more on the situation, BBC Africa Daily's Alan Kasujja spoke to Suliman Baldo who is the founding director of the think tank Sudan Transparency and Policy Tracker and Buthina who was born and raised in Khartoum, Sudan's capital. She had to relocate when the war started and now works for an international organization supporting local groups on the ground.

Amazon launched the first test satellites for its planned internet service on October 6 as a rival to SpaceX's broadband network. United Launch Alliance's (ULA) Atlas V rocket blasted off with the pair of test satellites, kicking off a program that aims to improve global internet coverage with an eventual 3,236 satellites around Earth. Amazon plans to begin offering service by the end of next year. Elon Musk's SpaceX has a huge head start over Amazon and its founder Jeff Bezos, who has his own rocket company, Blue Origin. SpaceX flew its first test Starlink satellites in 2018 and the first operational satellites in 2019. It has since launched more than 5,000 Starlinks from Florida and California, using its own Falcon rockets. Europe's Eutelsat OneWeb is also launching internet satellites, with around 600 in orbit. Amazon originally agreed to put the satellites on the debut launch of ULA's Vulcan rocket. But with the Vulcan grounded by problems until at least the end of this year, Amazon switched to the long-established Atlas V. When licensing the program, the Federal Communications Commission stipulated that at least half of the planned satellites will be operating by 2026 and all of them by 2029. Amazon has reserved 77 launches from ULA, Blue Origin, and Europe's Arianespace to get everything up. This article was provided by The Associated Press.

Did you ever wake up with a solution to a problem that was bugging you before you went to sleep? Chances are that it was that dream you had – whether you remembered it or not – that gave you the answers you were seeking. Many people might shrug that off as a one-time occurrence. But as any regular listener to this show knows, when we make a practice of paying attention to our dreams, whole new worlds of greater self-awareness are open to us.My guest on this episode, Transition Coach and Award-Winning Author and Speaker Linda Deir, believes these messages come to us via guides who are with us throughout our lives to help us reach our highest visions of ourselves. Linda's guides first came to her as a child and helped her navigate successfully through years of turmoil and family unrest. She now helps others discover their own destinies through contact with their guides and reveals:• There's no such thing as a dream that doesn't matter• The life destiny dream she had for years and what it now means for everyone• The messages from her guides that made her a successful businessperson• How she helps others understand their guides• Why guides are here to help usIf you feel you still need proof that dreams matter, you're sure to be convinced after listening to this eye-opening episode of Dream Power Radio.Life-Change self-help author, Linda Deir, a serial entrepreneur ... was never formally educated for any of it, she was guided. Her flagship book, Guided explains this. As unconventional as this may sound, it's always been the norm for Linda. Without any formal training, by age 19 and beyond she became an architectural home designer, general contractor, sub-contractor, businesswoman, real estate broker, Internet Service, and Host Provider, dream interpreter, transition coach, trainer, and now, author and speaker. Every vocation was accomplished with the timely guidance she received from her Spirit Guide Angels. Nothing has ever been out of reach for her; all that was required was that she show up, pay attention, and take action. As a result of the child abuse she encountered until age 16 she learned to perfect this process of detecting and following her guidance. Linda awakens each day with a passion for sharing what she's learned from living a Guided life. In her book, Guided, she shares the lessons from her Spirit Guides and Angels so people can recognize guidance when it shows up in their lives - creating a better life than you could have done on their own.A dynamic presenter in person, Linda brings through spontaneous insights that reawaken the soul's urge to express itself. States, local governments and internet providers have until Friday, Jan. 13 to challenge the Federal Communications Commission's National Broadband Map. The map shows where service is and isn't across the country.
Nationally, internet service providers sometimes offer lower-income, less white neighborhoods slower internet service for the same price as faster connections in neighborhoods that are whiter and wealthier. That's according to a report by The Markup, a nonprofit newsroom focused on technology company accountability. The reporting found that across the country – including in Portland and Seattle – a provider might offer speeds at or above 200 megabits-per-second in one neighborhood, while offering service below 25 megabits-per-second in others for the same price. We learn more about the findings from Aaron Sankin, an investigative reporter with The Markup.

At the beginning of the pandemic, we did a lot of reporting on how the internet is everything, and how your access to it — or lack thereof — can shape how you learn, how you work and whether you can get ahead in this economy. But a recent investigation from The Markup, a nonprofit newsroom, suggests we're still pretty far away from equitable access. Marketplace’s Kimberly Adams recently spoke with Leon Yin, an investigative data journalist at The Markup and one of the authors of “Dollars to Megabits: You May Be Paying 400 Times as Much as Your Neighbor for Internet Service.”

Hank Hanegraaff, president of the Christian Research Institute and host of the Bible Answer Man broadcast, comments on a recent Wall Street Journal opinion article, “Are Internet Services as Good as Church?” by Paul Glader and John Semakula. The authors write about how digital worship has overtaken the Christian church, particularly among Evangelicals. Almost half of people who responded to a survey now believe that online services are as good as in-person services. Many don't want to return to in-person worship, enjoying the opportunity to multi-task during the service or shop around for other worship experiences—dabbling in Christianity without commitment and accountability. But this constitutes a complete misunderstanding of what the Church actually is. Followers of Christ are baptized into a body—incorporated into the Body of Christ. Church is not just about holding to a corpus of intellectual precepts or listening to good TED Talks with a spiritual slant. Church, by its very nature, is a corporate, embodied experience—a sacramental experience within the Eucharistic assembly wherein we together partake of the “medicine of immortality” that transforms us. Sacraments are dispensed within—not apart from—the Body of Christ, and Christianity knows nothing of Lone Ranger experiences.
