My Review of the Kidani Village
#disney #live #podcast National Dole Whip Day & Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani Village In this episode, we deep dive into Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani Village, the African-inspired resort that features stunning savannas with exotic animals, authentic cuisine, and immersive cultural activities. We'll tell you everything you need to know about this resort, from its design and backstory, to its rooms and amenities, to its dining and recreation options. We'll also share some of our favorite memories and tips from staying at Kidani Village.
Disney's resort hotels ARE VERY EXPENSIVE, THEY ARE ALSO VERY FUN — from the AMAZING lobbies and CLEAN hotel rooms, to resort activities, restaurants and gift shops. Resort hopping is MY FAVORITE THING TO DO IN Disney World. I ridE the monorail and/or Skyliner to each resorts to AND EXPLORE AND RELAX. If you're staying at a Disney World resort hotel and WANT to check out other resorts on Disney World property, THERE IS BAD NEWS. Many Disney World hotels are undergoing construction right now. WHICH MEANS YOU WILL RUN INTO SOME CONSTRUCTION AREAS OF THE RESORT THAT CAN'T BE ACCESSED CURRENTLY. Disney's Grand Floridian Resort IS UNDERCOVER CONSTRUCTION RIGHT NOW. I THINK THE GRAND FLORIDIAN IS A BEAUTIFUL RESORT. THE LOBBY FEELS LIKE THE WHITE HOUSE TURNED INTO A HOTEL. I THINK IT NEEDS SOME UPDATES AND A LITTLE COLOR IN THE LOBBY, EVERYTHING IS WHITE EVERYWHERE. this resort always seemed out of place amongst the other resorts. You'll can hear the construction during the day, you can still explore the majority of the resort. The construction is set to continue until fall 2023 my favorite resort the Polynesian, has construction going on for the new Disney Vacation Club villas . it's also construction on new rooms, and even new restaurants. at the BoardWalk resort. The Cake Bake Shop is under construction and is set to open later this year. also the lobbies, lounge, and guest rooms are being refurbished and renovated. the Animal Kingdom Lodge, Kidani Village is being remodeled until late September, 2023. if you are staying there be prepared to here noise. the rest of the resort is free of construction. so if your resort hopping you can still explore the lobby and public areas. Disney's Beach Club Resort, guest rooms are being refurbishment and are under construction until late in 2023 at Fort Wilderness, Trails End Restaurant is closed for refurbishmen opens back sometime this summer. Port Orleans — French Quarter, Doubloon Lagoon Pool will be closed until April 2024 for construction..........if you are going to resort hop, you should be ok for the most part. if your staying at the resorts then that might be an issue. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/c-sincere/support

Once again we are back from an unannounced hiatus but this time our lack of content was caused by something much more dire. After Sarah’s ankle reconstruction surgery she spent 4 days in the ICU due to a massive blow clot in each of her lungs. Everything is good now and she is almost back to normal but it was touch and go for a while there. On a lighter note, we were able to check out a few Disney resort restaurants while Sarah was confined to a wheelchair. Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Artist Point Storybook Dining also at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and Sanaa at Kidani Village in the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

WDW Radio # 478 - Hidden Treasure of WDW - Late-Night at Sanaa Lounge What I love about visiting, and revisiting, Walt Disney World is that there is always something new to discover. It doesn’t matter how many time you’ve been, how much of an expert or veteran you consider yourself, or if you think you’ve done it all, not every special or unique (or even delicious) experience can be found on a map or in a guidebook. This week, I take you with me to one of my favorite places (and times of day) to find a special snack and experience, as we go to Sanaa Lounge at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge at Kidani Village. From culinary delights to speciality cocktails, it’s a fun, relaxing experience inspired by the spice markets of Africa that is one of my personal favorites in all of Walt Disney World… and were you just might find me late one evening. This week we've invited Deb Wills from AllEars.net back to the show to talk more in-depth about one of Disney's newest DVC properties in Walt Disney World, the Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani Village. We're going to really dig in deep with this resort and give our thoughts on everything from the look and feel to the convenience and how it fits in with the other Disney Vacation Club properties. Also this week we begin Round 2 of the Disney Feud with Those Darn Cats and Steve Swanson from the Muppetcast returning. In the news this week: Stitch's Supersonic Celebration is officially being closed for good, a Princess Di exhibit comes to Downtown Disney in the old Virgin Megastore space, Holiday Inn moves into Walt Disney World, The Disneyland Hotel gets a facelift and much, much more. And we had such a great time with last week's Mousecall that we decided to do it again this week. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.
This week we welcome Marissa Gordon, Glenn Whelan, and Ryan Wilson back to the show as we have a roundtable dining review of the new restaurant that just opened at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani Village, Sanaa. The Kidani Village is the newest DVC location to open in Walt Disney World and it's new full service dining experience, Sanaa, is a unique experience that you can't get at many other places around Walt Disney World. The food is a blend between African and Indian flavors and we were all able to try out this new restaurant during it's opening weekend. We'll talk about it's theming, the story behind the restaurant, what we liked about it, what we didn't and even about the new DVC portion of the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We also continue our Disney Feud series with a friendly round between Team Those Darn Cats and the Disney Dudes. In the news this week: The voice of Mickey Mouse, Wayne Allwine, passes away, more members only events are announced for D23, Star Wars Weekends gets ready for opening weekend with a brand new logo, some small additions and closures to Walt Disney World and much more. We'll add many more listeners to the AllAbouttheMouseketeer Roll Call and even feature an All About the Mouse exclusive listener review of a special Work in Progress screening of Disney's The Princess and the Frog. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.

The WDW Radio Show - Your Walt Disney World Information Station
Hello and welcome to The WDW Radio Show - Your Walt Disney World Information Station. I am your host, Lou Mongello, and this is show #131 for the week of August 9, 2009. Thank you for tuning in once again. While the introduction of new attractions, shows or promotions gets many people excited about Walt Disney World, hearing about a new dining experience for many is equally as thrilling. And when a new restaurant is being introduced that comes from the first and only female Iron Chef, the excitement grows into anticipation. This week, I am pleased to be joined by Chef Cat Cora, whose Kouzzina restaurant is set to open soon on Disney's Boardwalk. We'll talk about her background and career, as well as what this new dining experience will bring to Walt Disney World Guests. With the recent introduction of new Disney Vacation Club properties at Kidani Village, The Treehouses at Saratoga Springs and the spectacular new Bay Lake Towers, I wanted to talk about not just the DVC in general, but about each of these new resorts. With three new, very unique experiences to offer Guests and DVC Members, I also wanted to look at some frequently asked questions about the DVC and how these new properties may or may not affect buying and selling DVC points. Shontell Crawford form DVCbyResale.com joins me to discuss these topics and more. I'll play more of your voicemails at the end of the show, so sit back, relax, and enjoy this week's episode of the WDW Radio Show. You can email the show at lou@wdwradio.com or call the voicemail TOLL FREE at 888-703-2171. Visit the web site at wdwradio.com and talk about the show by visiting and posting in the WDW Radio Show message forums Thanks for listening! Be sure to tune in next week!

The WDW Radio Show - Your Walt Disney World Information Station
Welcome to the WDW Radio Show - Your Walt Disney World Information Station. I am Lou Mongello happy to back with you again this week, and this is show #78 for the week of August 3, 2008. In this week's breaking Walt Disney World News, I'll have information about a new dining package coming in 2009, as well as some changes to ticket pricing. I'll update you on the new Kidani Village at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and some other changes around the resorts. In the parks, I'll tell you how and when you can audition for a new attraction in Walt Disney World, and in the Rumor Mill, I'll give you a hint at what movie is being rumored for a new attraction in the parks. Disney's Year of a Million Dreams has always extended far beyond the handing out of physical prizes in the parks, truly embracing its namesake. In fact, it has really always been about making dreams come true for people, and often times, dreams they may never have known they even had. Whether it is giving a family a night in a Castle, or crowning one man Chief Magic Official, it gives people opportunities never before available. And for 12 lucky, talented people who love Walt Disney World, their dreams came true as well, when they were selected to the Disney World Mom's Panel, an online forum where Guests could ask the experts and gain insights about planning their Walt Disney World vacation. This week, I want to welcome 7 of those members to the show, as we discuss not just the panel and how and why they were selected, but to learn more about them, the panel and what they are doing to help. I'll have more at the end of the show, including many more of your voicemails, so sit back, relax, and enjoy this week's episode of the WDW Radio Show. You can email the show at lou@wdwradio.com or call the voicemail at 206-202-4WDW (4939). Visit the web site at wdwradio.com. Talk about the show by visiting and posting in the WDW Radio Show message forums at DisneyWorldTrivia.com. Thanks for listening! Be sure to tune in next week!
