Antoine Miner, and special guest Leonard Bryant dive deep into the issues that matter to our community. First, we tackle the controversial topic of ShotSpotter technology and its implications for public safety and racial equity in Cumberland County. We'll thoroughly discuss whether the city's investment in this crime detection system aligns with community needs and values and who stands to benefit or suffer from its continued use. Next, we discuss challenges in our local education system, precisely the Cumberland County School Board's attempt to reform teacher pay. Though this topic is only briefly mentioned, it serves as a vital reminder of the ongoing need for better compensation and support for our educators. In a shift to economic concerns, our hosts break down the complexities surrounding affordable housing programs in the region. They highlight the crucial distinction between cheap and low-income housing and discuss potential solutions to make living costs more manageable for working families. Lastly, Leonard Bryant shares exciting details about an upcoming event the Frederick Douglass Foundation organized to empower young men and foster personal growth. It's an inspiring initiative that promises to help reshape the community by guiding our youth toward a brighter future. 11/21/24 - Pam Stenzel is the founder of Enlighten Communications Inc., which tackles today's tough issues of sex with candor, insight, humor, and the challenge for young people to make the healthiest choice and save sex for marriage. She has spoken to over 500,000 young people on the importance of abstinence. She is currently the Senior Regional Clinic Director for Community Pregnancy Clinics in Central and Southwest Florida and serves on the board of directors for Safe Haven Baby Boxes and directs their crisis hotline. Walter Hoye is a licensed and ordained Baptist preacher who serves as both President and Founder of the Issues4life Foundation, the California Civil Rights Foundation, Founder of the Frederick Douglass Foundation of California, Core Member of the National Black Pro-Life Coalition, and sits on the board of The Morning Center, which was founded to provide free full-service maternity care for women in urban and under-served areas. The Boston Men's March took place this past weekend, and the resistance was out in full force. It is now being reported that seventeen arrests were made during the event, including the "transgender daughter" of the second highest ranking Democrat in the US House of Representatives, Katherine Clark. Unsurprisingly, all of the reported arrests came from the pro-abortion side, who did their best to impede the peaceful proceedings of the march. We'll bring you a frontline recap of what was a wild day in the streets of America's most historically Catholic city. WATCH HERE for a look at the scene on Saturday: https://youtu.be/tteI57j78IA

The president was accompanied by his wife of 23 years and three young adult children. The 49-year-old politician and businessman has led the country of Madagascar in his current term since January 2019. He also led a provisional government in the country from 2009–2014. According to the Vatican, after a 20-minute private conversation, Pope Francis invited Rajoelina and his family to pray a Hail Mary together before a Marian image he had received from the bishops of Madagascar. The pope and delegation were also photographed together next to a miniature of a ship, a gift Francis received on the occasion of his 2019 visit to the island country. https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/255109/pope-francis-meets-catholic-president-of-madagascar A federal appeals court this week sided with a group of pro-life protesters who claim the city of Washington, DC, discriminated against them by arresting them for anti-abortion messages they had written with chalk in 2020. The US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia said in its ruling Tuesday that the Frederick Douglass Foundation and Students for Life of America had “plausibly” demonstrated that Washington police had violated the First Amendment rights of two protesters when they were arrested over a pro-life slogan they wrote in chalk on a city sidewalk that year. The protesters had written “Black Preborn Lives Matter” on the sidewalk at a rally that occurred outside the Planned Parenthood Carol Whitehill Moses Center in Washington, DC. The government “may not play favorites in a public forum — permitting some messages and prohibiting others,” the ruling said. https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/255113/appeals-court-sides-with-anti-abortion-protesters-in-dc-first-amendment-dispute The State of Colorado's program to fund universal preschool unconstitutionally excludes Catholic preschools that want to participate in the program, according to a lawsuit filed on behalf of two Denver-area parishes and the Archdiocese of Denver. The lawsuit concerns Colorado's universal preschool program, created in 2022, that offers eligible families at least 15 hours per week of free preschool for every participating child, according to the program website. The suit maintains that the state's rules requiring participating schools “to accept any applicant without regard to a student or family's religion, sexual orientation, or gender identity” violate the schools' First Amendment rights. The lawsuit objects that the program rules are unconstitutional and exclude Catholic schools but not the preschool programs of other private schools. The Denver Archdiocese has 36 preschools with more than 1,500 preschoolers each year. https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/255112/colorado-can-t-exclude-catholic-preschools-from-state-program-lawsuit-says Today, the Church celebrates Saint Helena, the mother of Emperor Constantine who according to tradition discovered the resting place of the true cross of Jesus Christ in Jerusalem. https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/saint/st-helena-740

Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) might seem like a new concept, but it's actually been around for a long time. It's just that the content has changed over the years, with the fundamentals of today's DEI programs being built on Marxist teachings. On the surface, the resulting structure has the appearance of leveling the playing field. But the outcomes have actually been shown to be divisive. Listen in as Kevin McGary and Mark Griffin come together to discuss an alternative to that script through biblical DEI. Kevin shares information from his book, WOKEd UP! and Mark shares more about his DEI certification program. Together, their efforts provide a standard that celebrates differences and human connectedness in a much more accurate and effective manner. Kevin and Mark also discuss how they met through Pinnacle Forum, which was inspired by Dr. Bill Bright, founder of Campus Crusade for Christ International. This conversation appears to coincide with apolitical realignment occurring within the black community. This realignment demonstrates the absolute importance both of maintaining voting rights for black Americans andprotecting the integrity of those votes. Both the Constitution and federal law enshrinethe right of every black citizen to have a voicein the selection of his or her elected officialsat the federal, state and local level.Up until the 1960 presidential election, whenJohn F. Kennedy conspicuously helped getthe Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. releasedfrom an Atlanta jail,109 black Americans weremore likely to vote for more conservativecandidates. After President Kennedy's death, his successor – Lyndon B. Johnson – sawan opportunity with the passage of theVoting Rights Act of 1965, which undid therestrictions his party had previously placedon black votes. As a result, and ironically, theparty and ideology that had once restrictedblack votes is now credited with protectingvoting rights.  Project 21 member Craig DeLuz is the founder of the Uncommon Sense Media Group. He has almost 30 years in media, political advocacy, policy analysis and grassroots activism. He is President & CEO for 2A News Corporation, as well as Spokesman for the California Republican Assembly, the golden state's largest and fastest growing Republican volunteer organization. DeLuz has also served as the Spokesman & Senior Legislative Advocate for Firearms Policy Coalition and as CEO for the Frederick Douglass Foundation of California. He was the interim executive director of the Women's Civic Improvement Club of Sacramento, editor of Red County-Sacramento and publisher of Voice of North Sacramento. He served on the legislative staff of California Assemblymen Kevin Jeffries and Tim Leslie. Craig has served on the Roba School District Board of Trustees – including as president – for almost 20 years. He is a graduate of California State University at Chico, where he was the first black president of the school's Associated Student Government. Currently, Craig also hosts a number of programs focused on political and Second Amendment Issues. They include FPC's “Morning Coffee with Craig” “CRA-TV” for the California Republican Assembly and the “The DeLuz Brothers” in which he and his twin brother David debate politics from the left and right. The Black Lives Matter movement has taken the nation by storm. The group has been protesting police brutality and the systematic oppression of black people in the United States. However, the movement has been co-opted by those who seek to profit from it. It has been used to further the agendas of those who do not have the best interests of the black community. Woke minions are perpetuating the false narrative that white people are to blame for the problems in the black community. That is not only untrue, but it's also harmful and divisive. But what does it truly mean to embrace all life? How does Every Black Life Matters contrast from Black Lives Matter? In this episode, Kevin McGary joins Jim and Dan to talk about topics impacting race in America. As the President of Every Black Life Matters, Kevin speaks about the historical origins of racism, how the black community is being misled, and the contrasts between the Black Lives Matter movement and his organization, Every Black Life Matters.Kevin McGary is an entrepreneur, author, and public speaker. This time "The Hard Question" focuses on the divide in America — can it be resolved? Two very important legal cases have many in the country on edge. The Supreme Court is reviewing a Mississippi law that could that could impact Roe v. Wade. The justices will craft a decision that could dramatically limit abortion rights in the United States. In the hearing Wednesday, Justice Clarence Thomas asked if a mother has a right to ingest drugs and harm a pre-viable baby. The protests against and in favor of abortion rights are loud and passionate outside the Supreme Court Building. Terry Beatley, author and journalist, was there Wednesday and she joins BQ. Later in the episode, the trial of Jussie Smollett, the former “Empire” star who allegedly staged a “hoax” hate crime attack, is underway. Will the sympathy of the media be at odds with the outcome of the decision rendered by jury? Who determines justice, the courts or the mob? Kevin McGary, president and co-founder of Every Black Life Matters, gives insight. MORE ABOUT THIS WEEK'S GUESTS Terry's Mission is to educate, unify, and restore America around a culture of life ethic by fulfilling the promise made to Dr. Bernard N. To support his case, he cited BLM's opposition to the traditional family, its tendency towards violence, hatred and unforgiveness. Most shocking of all however, is BLM's relationship with the occult. The president agreed to meet with them on Monday evening at the White House. New COVID-19 cases and hospital admissions in the United States have both dropped but the number of people who died from the coronavirus in January 2021 surpassed all other months since the pandemic started a year ago, exceeding 90,000 deaths last month alone. Meanwhile, the Vatican's Secretary of State recently gave a wide-ranging interview addressing several issues facing the Holy See. Rome Correspondent, Colm Flynn joins to discuss what was said in the interview. In today's News: Concordia St. Paul sets record Concordia University, St. Paul (CSP), St. Paul, Minn., set a new fall enrollment record with 5,567 students — 428 more than its previous high of 5,139 a year ago. Traditional undergraduate programs gained 56 students, adult undergraduate programs 361 students, and graduate programs 11 students. Enrollment for students learning on campus now stands at an all-time high of 1,756, while graduate programs saw their total enrollment surpass 2,000 students for the second consecutive year. Adult undergraduate program enrollment, which includes the bulk of online students, stands at 1,788. Suit filed against the city of Washington, D.C, Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys representing two pro-life organizations filed suit in federal court Wednesday after the city of Washington, D.C., refused to grant permission for the groups to paint a pro-life message on a city street shortly after the city commissioned or allowed the painting of other messages on a different street. In June, a mural reading “BLACK LIVES MATTER” was created using permanent yellow paint, the length of an entire city block, extending the width of the street. Shortly after the mural was painted, another mural reading “DEFUND THE POLICE” was also painted on the street. The Frederick Douglass Foundation and Students for Life of America then sought to paint a similar mural outside of the Planned Parenthood Carole Whitehill Moses Center with the message “BLACK PRE-BORN LIVES MATTER,” but the city refused to grant a permit to the two groups. Students for Life of America applied for a permit and received permission to hold a rally, but neither group received a formal response from the city regarding the painted mural. Pro-abortion follower appointed to Biden’s staff Former Vice President Joe Biden has chosen an outspoken pro-abortion activist to serve as his White House chief of staff should he end up assuming the presidency in 2021. Last week, the 77-year-old Biden announced that he would tap Ron Klain, who had previously worked as chief of staff to Al Gore and Biden during their respective vice presidencies, to serve as his chief of staff. Over the years, Klain has repeatedly heaped praise on the pro-abortion movement and questioned the legitimacy of both the 2000 and 2016 presidential elections. In a series of tweets he sent out in 2018 and 2019, Klain voiced his admiration for pro-abortion activists and organizations. City lifts ban on sidewalk counseling In a victory for life Tuesday, the city council In Jackson, Missi. voted to repeal an ordinance that restricted pro-life free speech outside the only abortion facility in the state. The AP reports the Jackson City Council voted unanimously to repeal the 2019 buffer zone ordinance after pro-life sidewalk counselors sued the city. The ordinance prohibited people from “oral protest, education or counseling” within 15 feet of the entrance to a health care facility and prohibited amplified sound within 100 feet of the property line. It also banned anyone from coming within eight feet of another person without their permission. Those who violated the ordinance could face a $1,000 fine or jail time. The ordinance technically applied to all health care facilities in Jackson, but it really targeted pro-lifers. As a result, peaceful pro-life advocates could have been punished for praying outside the abortion facility or handing a woman information about pregnancy resources in the city. The victory Tuesday may be temporary. According to the AP, City Council President Aaron Banks promised to take new action to “guarantee safety and that individuals aren’t harassed.”

This is an audio podcast of The Dr J Show. Full video episode is available here. As a young man Walter played football at Michigan State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Sociology in 1980. On Tuesday, January 12th, 1982 Walter was licensed to preach the gospel by the Calvary Baptist Church in San Diego, California. Walter graduated from the United States International University, now Alliant International University, with a Master's degree in Business Administration in 1983. In 1984, God used the premature birth of his firstborn son (six months, 2.1 pounds) to teach Rev. Hoye that the preborn is a person, a living & breathing human being. On Sunday, April 23rd, 1989 Walter was ordained a Baptist preacher by Pastor Dr. S.M. Lockridge. From 1984 to 1987 Walter served as Minister of Christian Education at the St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Oceanside, California. From 1987 to 1991, Walter served as Assistant to the Pastor and Director of the Youth Department at the Greater Faith Baptist Church in Stockton, California. From 1991 to 2010, Walter served as the Executive Elder of the Progressive Missionary Baptist Church of Berkeley. In May of 2010, Walter resigned to work full-time in the Pro-Life movement. He was asked to join a group of pro-life sidewalk counselors, to pray and give out literature to women on their way to the entrance of an abortuary. His ministry blossomed so much that the abortuary lost a great deal of business, and they complained to the Oakland authorities, who literally created a law just to put Rev. Hoye in jail. Though in court Rev. Hoye and his attorney from Life Legal Defense proved both that Walter did absolutely nothing illegal and that the only witness against him blatantly lied, the pro-abortion judge made sure Rev. Hoye unjustly went to jail, which he did. The judge, in fact, sought to sentence Walter to four *years* in jail for standing on a public sidewalk, but could not because of a legal technicality. Walter leads the Oakland pro-life march, he competes in the San Francisco Marathon and catches an NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB game whenever he can. Tonight's guest is the Director of Movie Fear of a Black Republican, Kevin Williams! www.fearofablackrepublican.com FEAR OF A BLACK REPUBLICAN begins with the simple question… Does the Republican Party really want more African Americans? Independent filmmaker Kevin J. Williams takes a non-partisan journey over four years and two Presidential Elections to find out why there are so few Black Republicans and what that means for the future of the Two-Party Political System in America. From the Civil War to the Great Depression, the GOP was the Party for many African-Americans, but today, barely 10% of African Americans consider themselves to be Republican and Urban areas are no longer considered competitive parts of America’s Election map. Beginning in his hometown, Williams speaks with BOTH Democrats and Republicans as he takes a personal and humorous look at his own Republican Party’s efforts in urban areas versus the suburbs, the Democratic Party's success in retaining the African American vote, the seeming phenomenon of Black Republicans and what this all means for America. FEAR OF A BLACK REPUBLICAN gives audiences of all Demographics and Political Persuasions a ground-breaking and moving view of American Politics unlike any they have ever seen and one which they'll never forget.
