Purpose can be inspiring, motivating, and meaningful... but it can also become pressure, obligation, or even something other people use to exploit our care. So after spending this month questioning purpose, I'm finally asking: What if purpose isn't something we find once and spend the rest of our lives following? What if purpose is something we practice? In this episode, I'm exploring a more nuanced way to think about purpose as something we create and understand through our behaviors, choices, goals, and everyday actions. Instead of asking only “What is my purpose?” I want us to start asking “What is this sense of purpose inviting me to do?” We're talking about how to audit your calendar for purpose, recognize the goals you're currently optimizing for, and determine whether the way you're actually spending your time reflects what you say matters most. Because you can flawlessly execute a goal and still realize that goal isn't aligned with the life you want to build. As August comes to a close and we step into that fresh-start energy of a new school year and fall routines, this is your invitation to get curious. What does your calendar say you value? What practices keep you connected to your purpose? And where might someone else's must be taking up space that belongs to something that matters more? Purpose doesn't have to be one perfect answer you uncover and carry forever. It can evolve as you do. Maybe the goal isn't to finally find your purpose. Maybe it's to keep practicing it. What if changing your life didn't require becoming someone new—but simply seeing the world through a different lens? In this inspiring episode, Dr. Steve Judson, D.C., and Dr. Drew Henderson, D.C. welcome special guest Trenton Temples, whose journey into chiropractic began by simply supporting his wife through chiropractic school. What started as an act of love became a life-changing shift in purpose, perspective, and service. Together, they discuss the importance of surrounding yourself with passionate people, overcoming procrastination, embracing personal growth, and why purpose isn't always something you find—it's often something that finds you when you begin serving others. Trenton also shares how Wake Up Humans and Dynamic Essentials transformed the way he sees life, leadership, and the chiropractic principle. Whether you're a chiropractor, spouse, entrepreneur, or simply looking for greater purpose, this conversation is a reminder that one change in perspective can change everything. How's your atlas? In this opening lesson of the 28th and final gate of Orchot Tzaddikim—the Gate of Fear of Heaven (Shaar Yirat Shamayim)—Rabbi Aryeh Wolbe explains that the Torah's concept of "fear" does not primarily mean terror or anxiety. Rather, yirah means awe, awareness, perspective, and clarity. True fear of Heaven is living with a constant awareness of Hashem's greatness and recognizing our personal relationship with Him. The Torah repeatedly teaches that this awareness is the foundation of Jewish life and the greatest treasure a person can possess.Rabbi Wolbe then demonstrates that Torah is not the ultimate goal—it is the pathway that leads to Yirat Shamayim. Torah study without developing a deeper awareness of Hashem is compared to possessing the keys to the inner rooms of a house while lacking the key to the front door. Likewise, the purpose of receiving the Torah at Mount Sinai was not simply to acquire knowledge, but to establish an everlasting relationship with Hashem. Every mitzvah reconnects us to that covenant and strengthens that bond. The lesson concludes by describing three levels of fear. The lowest level is serving Hashem because of concern for what other people think. A higher level is serving Hashem out of fear of punishment. The highest and purest level is serving Hashem solely because He is Hashem—out of love, awe, gratitude, and a sincere desire to fulfill His will. Rabbi Wolbe closes by encouraging us to recognize the countless gifts Hashem grants us every moment—from the ability to breathe and see to the privilege of living each day—which naturally inspires profound gratitude and authentic Yirat Shamayim._____________This Podcast Series is Generously Underwritten by Peter & Becky BotvinRecorded at TORCH Centre in the Levin Family Studios (B) to a live audience on February 16, 2026, in Houston, Texas.Released as Podcast on August 5, 2026_____________This series on Orchos Tzadikim/Ways of the Righteous is produced in partnership with Hachzek.Join the revolution of daily Mussar study at hachzek.com.We are using the Treasure of Life edition of the Orchos Tzadikkim (Published by Feldheim)_____________Listen, Subscribe & Share: Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/jewish-inspiration-podcast-rabbi-aryeh-wolbe/id1476610783Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/4r0KfjMzmCNQbiNaZBCSU7) to stay inspired! Share your questions at aw@torchweb.org or visit torchweb.org for more Torah content.  _____________About the Host:Rabbi Aryeh Wolbe, Director of TORCH in Houston, brings decades of Torah scholarship to guide listeners in applying Jewish wisdom to daily life.  To directly send your questions, comments, and feedback, please email: awolbe@torchweb.org_____________Support Our Mission:Our Mission is Connecting Jews & Judaism. — What separates those who thrive from those who remain stuck? Is success determined by talent, circumstances, or something deeper?  In today's conversation, we explore the power of mindset and how the way we think shapes the way we live. We'll discuss how limiting beliefs can quietly hold us back, why resilience is often more important than talent, and how our thoughts, emotions, and daily habits influence the results we create in our lives. We'll also dive into the relationship between mindset, manifestation, and purposeful action—examining how lasting transformation occurs when we align our vision with consistent effort. Along the way, we'll explore practical tools for overcoming self-doubt, navigating setbacks, cultivating confidence, and developing the mental resilience needed to pursue our dreams. At its heart, this conversation is about becoming the person capable of creating the life you desire—not through luck or circumstance, but through intentional awareness, growth, and action. It is an invitation to discover how changing your mindset can open the door to greater success, fulfillment, meaning, and joy. This true story of a Jewish mother and daughter is a powerful testament to courage, devotion, and the fragile thread of hope that sustained them through unimaginable hardship. Amidst cruelty and terror, they also encountered rare moments of humanity. Throughout their ordeal, both Bronia and Hajuta clung to memories of the River Kamienna—a place where they once danced, played music, and dreamed of the future. For them, the river was more than just a memory; it was a promise that they might one day return home.Bronia Feldman never imagined she would become the backbone of an underground medical lifeline, especially within the brutal forced-labor system of the HASAG munitions factory in occupied Poland. Torn from her family in September 1942, she arrived at the factory shattered by grief. Yet, the only force strong enough to keep her alive was the hope of saving others. My guess is honored to share her family's story—a story that warns of the dangers of fascism, antisemitism, and genocide. Despite the inhumanity they endured, the most valuable lessons Bronia and Hajuta passed on to her brothers and me were to embrace life, cherish family, and stand firmly against prejudice and injustice, just as they did. https://www.paulinesteinhorn.net/http://www.yourlotandparcel.orgSupport the show

As we get close to wrapping up 2025, I've been reflecting on how easy it is to let one year slide right into the next without really noticing the growth, the lessons, or the quiet miracles that carried us. For so many years, that was my story—years blending together, a quick “Happy New Year,” and then right back into the routine. But something shifted in me over the last decade. I realized I don't want to simply exist through my years… I want to LIVE them. Fully. Intentionally. With meaning and purpose. And that's what today's episode is all about, ending the year with a WOW. In this episode, we walk through what it looks like to end the year intentionally—with reflection, clarity, courage, and celebration. I talk about writing a letter to myself to acknowledge my accomplishments, the things that didn't go as planned, the lessons I learned, and what I want to carry into the next year. I also share what I've learned about creating WOW moments on purpose: WOW years don't happen by accident. I can't wait to hear how you plan to make 2026 your WOW year! If this episode encourages you, I'd love for you to share it with another woman who might need this message, or leave a review at ratethispodcast.com/ourreimaginedlife so more can find this space and walk this journey with us. I'll see you next week. I love you.

Values Are Choices, Not Virtues - Most people confuse values and virtues. Virtues are things like integrity, courage, and thankfulness... Behaviors we all should have more of. Values are choices about how you want to live, work, and relate. It's a value if it would drive who you married, what job you took, and where you went on vacation. There are 16 Measurable Values - Values exist on a continuum like a DNA profile. Scope reflects how exciting a life you want. Radius is how much you want to change the world systemically. Belovedness is how important an intimate relationship is to you. Work centrism is whether you love work for work's sake or if it's just a means to an end. Men Over 32 Value Romantic Relationships Most - We just got data showing that for men over the age of 32, belovedness is their number one value. It's much lower for women. Only 50% of people have family centrism in their top five values—we assume everyone shares our values, but they don't. Your Authenticity Gap Reveals Your Pain - You could hold the value of scope as number one, but not be able to live it right now because of your job or family situation. That gap between what you value and what you're living—we call that your authenticity gap. If you've got a big one, you know it because it hurts. Gen Z's Top Value Is Self-Care - 75% of Gen Z have self-care, wellbeing, pleasure, and leisure as their top value. Their top three are self-care, authentic self-expression, and helping others. Meanwhile, hiring managers want achievement, scope, and work centrism. The overlap is 2%. Aptitudes Are Your Brain's Dominant Hand - We have nine cognitive aptitudes preset by age 15. Are you a generalist or a specialist? A future focuser or a present focuser? A brainstormer or someone who comes up with one fully baked idea per year? It's painful to be a generalist in a specialist job. Your Personality Is How The World Experiences You - Your personality is not the list of adjectives you write about yourself. It's how the world experiences you. When I did my 360 feedback, people said I was the hurricane, not the calm at the center. I had to learn to communicate better the thoughts I had, and learn to be less chaotic.  Everyone Writes Themselves As The Hero - A police lieutenant once told me: everyone writes the story of their life with themselves at the center as the hero. No matter what story we tell ourselves, we always cast ourselves as the hero. That's why self-awareness is so hard and why we need testing, not just self-reflection. The Aperture Problem: Kids Only Know Five Jobs - When kids come out of high school, they only know about five jobs, two of which are their parents. By college it goes up to seven. By grad school, MBAs are thinking about two or three options—banking, consulting, or tech. There are 135 industries and thousands of types of work nobody tells them about. Great Leaders Don't Do It For The Money - I've been blessed to know many of the greatest leaders. They're doing it for love of people, excitement, work, or impact. I've never met a great leader who was doing it for the money. Jensen Huang and Jeff Bezos are examples—clarity, vision, excellence in everything, no shortcuts. Better To Be The Author Than The Editor - When you're ambitious, you end up surrounded by voices and can become the editor of your life. You have to become the author. Paint a self-portrait of yourself standing still so that when you start running, you know where you're going and why. Reflection Questions What would the 5 people closest to you say about how you show up? Would their description match how you see yourself, or do you have a self-awareness gap you haven't addressed? If you mapped your actual daily behaviors against your stated top values, would they align? Or are you living someone else's version of success while calling it your own? Are you the author of your life or the editor? Whose voices are loudest in your head when making big decisions, and have you given yourself permission to write your own story? Through the years of pastoring people and leading a local church, I discovered people wanted help to live life effectively. Whenever we asked them how we could help them, they would bring up the subjects of marriage and living purposefully.  In last week's podcast, I discussed marriage. In fact, podcast 60 was titled "7 Insights For A Meaningful and Long-Lasting Marriage." If you missed it, please go back and listen to it or watch it. Through forty-eight years of marriage with my wife Jeana, we have learned about meaningful and long-lasting marriage. Therefore, I shared seven insights about this subject that will help you. In fact, you could take these seven insights about marriage and share them with your Sunday School class or small group, and the hour would be filled with discussion and insight. I believe you could do the same with the content I am about to share with you, “Your Life Matters: How to Live With  Purpose.” Your time together in any setting and with any number of people would become meaningful with discussion and overflowing with questions. I have found this true: You cannot live spiritually fit if you do not live purposefully. Furthermore, without purpose, you will live life aimlessly. Hear me clearly: People want to know what matters in their lives. As a man in his sixties, I want to know that my life matters. I also want to know that I have a purpose and want to live each day purposefully.I want to give you Four Dynamic Statements About Purpose. Each of these will help you live purposefully.

Many of us are so busy keeping up with life, that we forget to check in with ourselves. We follow the rules, meet expectations and strive for success – yet still feel disconnected, stuck or unfulfilled. True purpose can feel elusive, like something we're always searching for but never quite finding.   This week, I'm joined by Kirsty Gallagher to explore how reconnecting with who you truly are can lead to a life of greater meaning, alignment, and joy. Kirsty is a renowned meditation and yoga teacher, a spiritual coach, and Sunday Times bestselling author of several books - including her latest, Your Cosmic Purpose.   In our conversation, we discuss: Why your true purpose is to be yourself, not to chase status, success or approval How to start listening to your own truth, even if you've spent a lifetime tuning in to everyone else's Why spending time in stillness is so important The role of discomfort and “internal conflict” as signs you're out of alignment Why trusting the timing of your life is essential and how your most painful experiences may be guiding you to greater clarity and purpose The importance of celebrating your progress How to reclaim your power by learning to make conscious, intentional choices - even when you are unable to change your external circumstances Throughout this conversation, Kirsty shares stories from her own journey, from corporate burnout to spiritual awakening, and offers practical tools to help you reconnect with the part of you that already knows the way.    This conversation may feel a little different from others I have had on this podcast. It leans more into the emotional and spiritual aspects of health and healing, but if you listen with an open heart and mind, I truly believe there is something in it for everyone.    At its core, it's a powerful reminder that you are the expert of your own life. Your truth matters. Your voice matters. And your purpose, however small or quiet it may seem right now, is already within you. Support the podcast and enjoy Ad-Free episodes.
