Tennis.com and VSIN Gambling Writer Zachary Cohen joins the show for a Wimbledon update, where the seeds continue to fall. Cohen analyzes how Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton have been able to have success, and he looks at the form of Novak Djokovic, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz as they advance in the draw. The writer also weighs in on Joao Fonseca's third round loss, and comments made by Stefanos Tsitsipas' new coach Goran Ivanisevic. Cohen goes in depth on the women's results at Wimbledon as well, reacting to the upset losses suffered by Madison Keys and Naomi Osaka. He also discusses why Iga Swiatek has found her footing on grass, Aryna Sabalenka's chances, and whether past champions Elena Rybakina and Barbora Krejcikova can re-capture some magic at The All England Club. Hosted by Mitch Michals.
On the Wimbledon 2025 3rd Round Show, Gill Gross starts with a reaction to Goran Ivanisevic's critical comments on Stefanos Tsitsipas following his first round retirement. Then we dive into matches such as Nicolas Jarry vs. Joao Fonseca, a form check on title favorites Novak Djokovic, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, the blockbuster night match between Aryna Sabalenka and Emma Raducanu, Laura Siegemund's stunner over Madison Keys, Taylor Fritz vs. Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, Flavio Cobolli's impressive display against Jakub Mensik and more. 0:00 Intro 1:00 Ivanisevic on Tsitsipas 11:20 Jarry d. A blockbuster Friday for British tennis came to a close with Emma Raducanu producing one of her best performances since her US Open title run in 2021, pushing Aryna Sabalenka all the way in two tight sets under the Centre Court lights. Join Kim and Chris as they break down Raducanu's display, what it means now that she'll drop to British No. 3, and whether the match was a good advert for women's night sessions (ahem, Amélie Mauresmo and Roland Garros). It wasn't all doom and gloom for the Brits either, as Cam Norrie and Sonay Kartal continued their strong form to book spots in the fourth round. Meanwhile, Carlos Alcaraz survived a stern test from the powerful Jan-Lennard Struff to avoid another five-set battle, while Taylor Fritz added another four-set win to his tally — and this time was able to actually wrap things up in broad daylight.Ben Shelton needed just over a minute to complete perhaps the quickest overnight return at Wimbledon, sealing victory against Rinky Hijikata in just over 60 seconds. There was disappointment for big names too, with Australian Open champion Madison Keys falling meekly with illness a factor and Naomi Osaka suffering an agonising defeat, missing a golden chance for a deep Slam run. History was made, though, as lucky loser Solana Sierra became the first female lucky loser ever to reach Wimbledon's fourth round.BABOLATBabolat are an official partner of Wimbledon and their Wimbledon collaboration collection is available to purchase now from babolat.com SOCIALSFollow us on Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, plus email the show tennisweeklypod@gmail.com.MERCHPurchase Tennis Weekly Merch through our Etsy store including limited edition designs by Krippa Design where all proceeds go towards the podcast so we can keep doing what we do!REVIEWS***Please take a moment to rate and review the show on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or wherever you get your pods. Catherine, David and Matt react to the events of Day 5 at Wimbledon, moments after Aryna Sabalenka wrapped up victory over Emma Raducanu. In Part 1 we discuss the final match of the day and the improvements shown by Raducanu despite her eventual loss to the world no 1. We also look at the defeat of Madison Keys by Laura Siegemund and ask if that's something we should have seen coming, analyse the losses for Naomi Osaka and Elina Svitolina, and discuss big wins for Sonay Kartal and Amanda Anisimova. In part 2 (49m48s) we look at all the men's results including Alcaraz's four set victory against Struff, Fritz's continued progress through the draw, and Rublev's improved form as he beat Adrian Mannarino. There was even more Matt-coded content as Jarry beat Fonseca and Ben Shelton added to history with a 70 second serve-dominated winning game on the resumption of his match. In part 3 (77m27s) we look look ahead to tomorrow's order of play. Become a Friend of The Tennis PodcastCheck out our new merch shop! Talk tennis with Friends on The Barge! Ben Shelton needed just 71 seconds to get the job done against Rinky Hijikata – 6-2, 7-5, 6-4. The American 10th seed served out the match to love, and with an ace on match point, to book his place in the third round. Lucy asked Shelton to talk about the technical changes he has made this season and how they have impacted his grass-court game. The 10th-seeded American's next opponent will be Marton Fucsovics after the Hungarian lucky loser won the one-set shootout against Gael Monfils final score was 6-4, 1-6, 4-6, 7-6(5), 6-4. This match was also carried over from Day 4 after being suspended for bad light. La Monf got broken at 2-2 and was unable to recover. In his post-match presser, Monfils spoke about what he thought went wrong in the decider. Naomi Osaka made a great start against Anastasia Pavlychenkova taking the first set but lost in three – 3-6, 6-4, 6-4. The four-time Grand Slam champion trailed 0-3 in the second and third sets, before drawing level but serving at 4-5 in the decider, Pavlyuchenkova broke and took the match. Osaka was understandably low during press but did give a positive, upbeat answer in response to a question from a Japanese journalist. Madison Keys, the sixth seed, lost 6-3, 6-3 sets to Laura Siegemund which was in keeping with the top seeds falling in the first week at SW19 – Aryna Sabalenka is the only top-10 seed left in the top half of the women's draw. Was a puzzling defeat for the American who seemed to struggle with the German's variety. Listen out for post-match press snippets from Shelton, Monfils and Osaka. We had rain on Day 3 at the Championships which caused a slight delay to proceedings. When play did begin, Madison Keys wasted no time against Olga Danilovic, winning in straight sets. Naomi Osaka also secured an impressive straight-sets win over last year's ladies doubles champion Katerina Siniakova. Felix Auger-Aliassime took the first set against Jan-Lennard Struff before the German secured the second. Their match, tied at one-set-all, was suspended due to bad light and will resume on Day 4. Elsewhere, last year's runner-up and this year's fourth seed Jasmine Paolini fell in three sets. Frances Tiafoe lost to an inspired Cameron Norrie in four and Gabriel Diallo, involved in the match of the day, went down in five epic sets to fifth seed Taylor Fritz. On Day 3 at Wimbledon, the tennis continued to be dramatic, with more seeds falling in what is rapidly becoming the major theme of this tournament. In part 1 Catherine, David and Matt begin by discussing the defeat of a weary-looking Jasmine Paolini by Kamilla Rakhimova. Emma Raducanu impressed against Marketa Vondrousova, but what chance does she have against Aryna Sabalenka? We also talk about a strong performance from Madison Keys, Matt's getting excited and nervous about Amanda Anisimova's draw, and we cover disappointment for Boulter who once again lost a match at Wimbledon when she was the favourite. In part 2 (40m34s) we look at the men's draw, which has opened up further with the loss of Frances Tiafoe to a revitalised Cameron Norrie, and Lehecka to an inspired Bellucci. There's excitement about the match that's been set up between Fonseca (who beat Brooksby in arguably the best match of the day) and the resurgent Nicolas Jarry. The prospect of Chilean against Brazilian fans in round 3 is tantalising. And Taylor Fritz will finally get a day off tomorrow after delaying the pod once again with his late night five-set victory over Gabriel Diallo. There's also plenty of coverage of Carlos Alcaraz's victory over plucky Brit Oliver Tarvet. In part 3 (66m58s) we look ahead to tomorrow's order of play, in particular Dan Evans getting the chance to take on Novak Djokovic on Centre Court. Ben Rothenberg (Bounces and No Challenges Remaining) subs in for George, joining James Gray to discuss all things Day 3 with an American slant. They talked about... - Taylor Fritz making it through two gruelling five-setters to then earn a reward of a cushy draw going forward - Madison Keys being, by default, the "Other Guy" of the women's draw - Oliver Tarvet's struggles to make any money - Emma Raducanu romping past Marketa Vondrousova - Naomi Osaka's best Wimbledon in seven years Please do take a look at Ben's Substack here: https://www.benrothenberg.com/ Or check out his book about Naomi Osaka: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Naomi-Osaka-Journey-Finding-Power/dp/0593472438/ Learn more about your ad choices. On a scorching hot day at SW19, Frances Tiafoe, Madison Keys, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Jasmine Paolini, Naomi Osaka and Gabriel Diallo all secured first-round wins.

Hey everyone, Faizan here! Here is my preview and prediction for the match between Coco Gauff vs Madison Keys at the 2025 French Open! This should be a great match for the Quarter Final at Roland Garros! This is an opinion only video!

We then look ahead to Novak Djokovic vs Alexander Zverev as both men reached the last eight with ease. Part two (30m40s). The remarkable run of Lois Boisson continued as she beat third seed Jessica Pegula in an enthralling encounter on Chatrier. We discuss the experience in the stadium and how Boisson's game disrupted Pegula. But can she keep it going against Mirra Andreeva? Plus, let the hype begin for Coco Gauff vs Madison Keys. Part three (48m08s). We cover Jannik Sinner's routine win in the night session and the Day 10 order of play as the tournaments reaches the quarter-finals stage.Buy tickets for Tennis Podcast Live in London on Thursday 26th June at Shoreditch Town Hall.
Part one. Madison Keys is doing it again! We start the pod by reacting to her dramatic victory over Sofia Kenin in which she saved three match points. We revisit our conversation about whether she's in the mix, discuss wins for fellow Americans Jessica Pegula and Coco Gauff, and recount a fascinating win for Lois Boisson over compatriot Elsa Jacquemot. Part two (26m26s). So Joao Fonseca won't be winning Roland Garros. We cover Jack Draper's impressive performance to beat the Brazilian which followed another demolition job by Jannik Sinner, this time against Jiri Lehecka. Are Draper and Sinner on course for a quarter final meeting? Part three (48m34s). Novak Djokovic's dream draw continues and a look ahead to Day 8.Buy tickets for Tennis Podcast Live in London on Thursday 26th June at Shoreditch Town Hall. Check out our new merch shop! Sabalenka wins Miami as the Sunshine Swing ends with a downpour for Novak Djokovic as he lost out to 19 year old Jakob Mensik in straight sets. The title was Sabalenka's first since that heartbreaking loss in the final of the Australian Open to Madison Keys and with it she cements her place a the top of the world rankings by opening up a 3000 point lead over No.2 Iga Swiatek. Swiatek went out to WC Alexandra Eala in another early shock loss for the former World No.1 and Joel, Kim and Chris question is it time for her to switch up her coach after not winning a title since Roland Garros last year?Elsewhere Djokovic declared his Miami form to be the best he had played since the Olympics where he won the gold medal, it wasn't enough for him to win the title in Miami but it did prove that the Murray partnership is on an upward trajectory.
