Matt Foster (Instagram) is the founder of Sol Luna | Coffee Whiskey (website, Instagram). With a background as a barista, bartender, and the 2019 winner of the Coffee in Good Spirits Competition, Matt says you should think of Sol Luna as a blend of aged bourbon and fresh cold brew that is barista tested and bartender approved. There are already plenty of coffee flavored products out there, so why did Matt create this one? As he puts it, many, but not all of the coffee flavored products out there strike him as one where the actual coffee flavor was an afterthought. Matt wanted to bring you a deeply nuanced and drier coffee liqueur that accentuates the bourbon upfront and coffee on the back end. This is a public episode. On January 23, 2023, just six days after William Vick was found dead on his bedroom floor at 1954 County Road 3259 in Clarksville Arkansas, police did a welfare check on his wife Larenda’s mother, 72-year-old Martha McLean, who lived in a detached house on the property with William and Larenda. They found Martha struggling to breathe with drugs including lorazepam and morphine around her. Martha had overdosed and was close to death, but paramedics administered Narcan, a drug that blocks opioids. So Martha's breathing improved, and she survived. Matt Foster with the Arkansas State Police wrote that Martha had a pen and a partially handwritten note in her hand when he found her. The note stated that Martha didn’t want to hurt anyone. And after he found her, he executed a search warrant for the property, and he found a second handwritten note where Martha confessed to tampering with William’s medication and to killing him. But why did Martha kill William, and what really happened to her? The Sox bats were lifeless and fans were not happy they lost the first two games of the series. The White Sox were able to pull it together and score quickly against the Guardians in Game 2. Sox scored in the first three innings, then got a three run home run from Luis Robert in the 9th inning to make it, 7-0. White Sox starter, Dylan Cease, had his really good stuff going but could not get out of the 6th inning. Reynaldo Lopez, Kendall Graveman and Matt Foster came in out of the bullpen to finish the job. The Chicago White Sox go for the series split on Wednesday and they send Lucas Giolito to the mound. Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Locked On White Sox - Daily Podcast On The Chicago White Sox
The Chicago White Sox lost to the Cleveland Guardians on Monday night by a score of 8-4. It was a very bad start to a very important week for the White Sox. Lance Lynn didn't necessarily get hit hard but he got hit. He gave up 5 runs in the first inning and only went 4 innings in total. The White Sox needed Matt Foster, Joe Kelly, and Tanner Banks out of the bullpen. There has been lifelessness oozing from the White Sox for a majority of the season. Are their clubhouse issues? Is there a lack of team leaders? Are there cliques? The optics are not good and Monday's offensive performance did not help the narrative. Yoan Moncada hit a timely 3 run home run to close the gap early on but that was about it in terms of excitement. The White Sox and Guardians have a doubleheader on Tuesday then the series finale on Wednesday.Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!Built BarBuilt Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar. Golf – Senior PGA – Steve Stricker out of Senior PGA with positive COVID-19 test Former Ryder Cup captain Steve Stricker has pulled out of the Senior PGA Championship after testing positive for the coronavirus. Stricker revealed his positive test Tuesday on Twitter. He says he was “super bummed” and that it was “just a small setback.” Stricker was out of competition for six months because of a virus that he says doctors never fully identified. NFL – Changes under new coach Matt Eberflus hit Bears defense Personnel, position change and even weight loss have been some of the changes to affect the Chicago Bears defense since the start of spring work in organized team activities during coach Matt Eberflus’ first season. The switch to a 4-3 defense from a 3-4 meant some players switched positions, such as linebacker Roquan Smith. New players such as linebacker Nicholas Morrow, rookie cornerback Kyler Gordon and rookie safety Jaquan Brisker are getting extensive looks with the first team. All the while, the Bears are without veteran defensive ends Robert Quinn and Al-Quadin Muhammad, who have opted not to participate in voluntary offseason work. NFL – NFL revamps Rooney Rule to include quarterbacks coaches The NFL has expanded the Rooney Rule again, this time to include quarterbacks coaches in a further effort to diversify the coaching ranks. The change was announced Tuesday at the owners meeting in Atlanta by Jonathan Beane, the NFL’s senior vice president and chief diversity and inclusion officer. The oft-criticized Rooney Rule, adopted in 2003 to enhance opportunities for minorities to gain head coaching jobs and enhanced several times to include front office positions, now will requires one minority or female candidate from another team to be interviewed for quarterbacks coach. Previously, the rule covered head coach, general manager and all coordinator jobs. The Russian earned his first victory since undergoing hernia surgery nearly two months ago. He had lost his opening-round match at the Geneva Open last week on his return.
