After decades of abandonment, the neon lights are glowing at the Rusty Pick tavern as Chad's gang hosts a grand reopening celebration. As new faces drift through the crowd, outsiders have come in search of the "Treasure of Appalachia" and one group will stumble upon something far more valuable. Elsewhere Commander Johns and Charles Bishop still are hunting for Hugo Warren, their trail ending at Sugar Grove. With the help of an old ally, they uncover dark secrets that raise even more questions about Project Lazarus and the Appalachia Experiment. The Judge is on the move, about to fire the first shot that will mark the beginning of the Battle for Appalachia. The board is set, the pieces are in place. It all starts now. These episodes are in loving memory to long time Bethesda Game Studios developer Ferret Baudoin, who recorded his lines prior to his untimely passing. His family has graciously allowed us to use them posthumously and it is fitting that in these episodes he will save the day, one last time. The remainder of our season ad revenue from these episodes will be benefiting the global crisis and humanitarian work of Project Hope. Some months have passed since the events of Dark Hallowe'en and the gang are still picking up the pieces. In 'Part Two' of this bumper, first of 2022, edition of @EchoChamberFP https://www.instagram.com/echochamberfp/ we take a look at 'Delicate State'. A film that started as a pregnancy project, but evolved to be a crystal ball into what could be a future, if a middle ground and conversation isn't had! We then caught up with first time director, Paula Rhodes. Which you can watch HERE: https://youtu.be/gp9BAt3SUbA 'Delicate State' is the directorial debut for Actor/Producer/Writer Paula Rhodes. It poses the question: What if a Civil War broke out NOW? Shot over the course of her actual pregnancy with she and her husband as leads, doubling as a two-person crew, Paula (Paula Rhodes) and Charlie (Charlie Bodin) document their impending parenthood during a time of extreme political division. Their heads remain in the sand about the greater world around them until it upends their privileged life. Now they must navigate the loss of a loved one, the destruction of their home, and the ruins of the health care system at their, and their nation's most vulnerable moment. Shot mostly in 2015 when such events seemed like pure fiction, Delicate State extended filming to document the ensuing nationwide protests, political conventions, uprisings and lockdowns as their original outline continued to spiral into reality. This week we have: Delicate State Watch Review: Here. https://youtu.be/ggs6RCqSBfs Digital Release Date: 4th January 2022 Director: Paula Rhodes Cast: Paula Rhodes, Charlie Bodin, Glenn Morshower, Cathy Baron, Charles Halford, Tara Platt, Jonathan Kells Phillips, Dee Freeman, Craig Frank, Ratana, Yuri Lowenthal, Percy Daggs III, Stephanie Sheh, David Mattey, Neil Kaplan, Regina Saldivar, Casey Graf, Leah Ann Cevoli, Dayeanne Hutton, Anastasia Washington, Wendy Cutler, Beverly Hynds, Jamie Fishback, Kyle Walters, Cricket Lee, Stephanie Thorpe, Michael Holmes, Damian Beurer, Mandi Moss, Jade Hindmon, Tina Cardinale, Terry Rhodes, Alan Rhodes, Patty Perez, Andrew Seely, and introducing Lincoln Bodin, Elliot Bodin, and Domino Credit: High Rhodes Productions, Dormant Lion Entertainment, E Xo Productions, KO Creative, Monkey Kingdom Productions, The Chimaera Project, Freestyle Digital Media Genre: Drama Running Time: 80 min Cert: 12a Trailer: Here. https://youtu.be/tq8txQbA1CM Website: Here. https://danceswithfilms.com/delicate-state/ Platforms: Amazon, iTunes, Google Play, YouTube Movies, Cable and Satellite On Demand Buy via iTunes: Here. https://itunes.apple.com/us/movie/delicate-state/id1600787000 Twitter: @Delicate_State https://twitter.com/Delicate_State Instagram: @delicate_state https://www.instagram.com/delicate_state/ ------------ *(Music) 'Meet Joe Black' by Nas - 2021 --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/eftv/message

Our Voltron friends, Dana, Rye and Todd join Marc and Greg to review the first episode of Season 8 of Voltron Legendary Defender, Launch Date. Dana, who lives in Tennessee, recently had lost all of her possessions in a fire at her family's home. This was a devastating loss for Dana. Here are some pictures of the house after the fire and the area that used to be Dana's bedroom: There is a GoFundMe page setup to help support Dana's family and their efforts to recover from this tragedy with their most immediate needs. They have not reached the GoFundMe goal yet, so please provide help if you can to a very special Voltron fan and her family at this link: https://www.gofundme.com/support-lewis-and-missy-hall Dana's best friend, Rye, who lives in South Carolina, knew that Dana had lost a lot of personal items with sentimental value, including a lot of art, signed posters and other special items she had bought at various conventions that Rye and Dana attended together over the years. One item, in particular, was a Voltron poster that Dana had signed by many of the voice actors and crew from Voltron Legendary Defender that she had collected at several conventions. Rye, without Dana knowing, had reached out to us on Twitter DM and asked if there was any way to connect with DreamWorks Animation to see if there was a way to get something signed and sent to Dana. We contacted Seth Fowler at DreamWorks PR, letting him know about the fire that destroyed Dana's signed poster, and asked if they could help Rye get something signed for her friend, Dana. It just so happened that THAT very night, the DreamWorks Animation group had planned a cast and crew party to celebrate the final season of Voltron Legendary Defender. Within a week, a signed poster of the combined lithographs of all the Voltron Legendary Defender characters, which was signed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Lauren Montgomery, Josh Keaton, Kimberly Brooks, Neil Kaplan, AJ LoCascio, and more of the cast and crew that were at the party that night, was on its way to Dana's boyfriend's house, where Dana was staying. Rye had given the address to Seth so it would be a surprise to Dana. Here are the pictures Dana shared on Twitter when she received that package: A huge THANK YOU to DreamWorks, the cast and crew of Voltron Legendary Defender, and everyone involved in getting this signed poster to Dana. And of course, this would have never been possible without Rye, who not only initiated the communication to get her best friend something that meant a lot to her, but introduced Dana to Voltron Legendary Defender in the first place. You'll hear all of these stories and more, as Dana and Rye joined us to help review Launch Date, the first episode of Season 8 of Voltron Legendary Defender on Netflix. Dana is on Twitter: @danahall26 Rye is on Twitter: @yauilla Todd Matthy also joined us for this episode review podcast. Todd has been on the podcast previously, as well. Todd had been involved in the MediaBlasters DVD set for Voltron: Defender of the Universe, back in 2006. Todd is on Twitter: @ToddCMatthy Todd is also the creator of Robots vs. Princesses, a full-color comic book series. "Princess Zara wants to find a baby dragon. Instead she finds a giant robot. Together, they must stop a robot army." https://robotsvsprincesses.com/ THE LAST BATTLE IS COMING. Robots vs. Princesses #4 is on sale January 30th from @dynamitecomics so there’s still time to get pre-orders in (and re-orders) in. Dani DeWald, Voltron Superfan and panel videographer at SDCC, joins Marc and Greg to review her coverage of the Voltron Legendary Defender panel at San Diego Comic-Con. We walk through the entire panel, and give commentary on all the clips, Q & A, and review the Season 1 Soundtrack that was recently released on iTunes. Plus, you need to listen closely to find out how to win variant cover copies of Voltron Legendary Defender #1 Comic, signed by authors Tim Hedrick and Mitch Iverson. The DreamWorks Voltron Legendary Defender panel at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) included panelists Joaquim Dos Santos (Executive Producer), Lauren Montgomery (C0-Executive Producer), and Tim Hedrick (Head Writer). A surprise panelist was added, which makes the audience go crazy! Steven Yeun, who plays Keith, Voltron paladin and pilot of Red Lion, was on the panel and shared his perspective of Season 1 of Voltron Legendary Defender. During the panel review, one of the Q & A questions was if we'd ever hear the original Voltron theme from 1984 used in the new show. Legally, they can't use the original theme in this show, and the producers let the audience know that you will not be hearing the original theme music in this show. So, now that this question is definitively laid to rest, let's celebrate the music of the first season of Voltron Legendary Defender, which is now available as a digital download on iTunes at: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/dreamworks-voltron-legendary/id1133408932 Thank you to the creator of the Voltron Legendary Defender theme, Alex Geringas, and the show's musical composers, Brad Breeck and Brian Parkhurst, for this wonderful album of music compiled from the first season of our favorite show on Netflix. Would you like to win 2 variant copies of Lion Forge's Voltron Legendary Defender #1 Comic Book, signed by authors Tim Hedrick and Mitch Iverson? We had the SDCC Exclusive Variant Cover and the other Variant Cover signed at SDCC by both Tim and Mitch and the Lion Forge Comics booth. Neil Kaplan (Emperor Zarkon in Voltron Legendary Defender) met up with us on the street at SDCC and told us the stories about some of the fans he interacted in line outside of the Voltron panel room 7 AB, and the fact that he and hundreds of fans did not get into the panel! Let's Voltron Host, Marc Morrell, took a trip to Los Angeles, California with his wife, Kim (official photographer/videographer), to capture the DreamWorks Animation panel and interviews for Voltron: Legendary Defender. In Part 1 of 2, you will hear Marc recall the experience of WonderCon, and the exuberance of Voltron fans that attended the panel that introduced the world to the cast and crew of Voltron: Legendary Defender, due to come out with an initial block of 13 episodes on June 10th on Netflix. For co-host, Greg Tyler, who is hearing all these interviews for the first time, this podcast gives his genuine reactions to what the cast and crew had to say at WonderCon, after the panel that just exploded like Voltron slicing through robeasts with Blazing Sword. While Marc was at WonderCon, he got to meet face-to-face for the first time with previous podcast guests, Blacky Shepherd and Steven E. Gordon. These Voltron meetups are one of the favorite things for Marc to do as a host of the podcast. You can privately contact either of these great artists through Facebook or Twitter to commision them for a personal Voltron artwork of your choosing. Marc also visited the Sideshow Collectibles booth, where a finished Prototype of the Voltron Maquette was on display, in all of it's colorful glory. Site: http://www.audiobooks.com/podcast  | Email: podcast@audiobooks.com Welcome back to the Audiobooks.com podcast! This episode of the podcast was released on September 1, 2015 and, as such, we take a look at the season, the challenges and excitements of the upcoming months, and what we look forward to most! (Pumpkin latte, anyone? Not yet? Ok.)  Once again, Addy and Brian chose to review very complementary audiobooks in the business and personal development genre. Addy reviews Do the Work by Steven Pressfield, while Brian reviews Purple Cow by Seth Godin. News Girl on the Train is being made into a movie! (Note: this is not the 2013 thriller starring Henry Ian Cusick.) The psychological thriller published in January by author Paula Hawkins was optioned by DreamWorks and is already getting some buzz over the casting of the characters. One major change already rumored in the course of the book's adaptation is that the film will likely take place in upstate New York, as opposed to the English backdrop of the story. As this change does not seem to cause the author to lose sleep, it shall be interesting to see what The Help's Tate Taylor will do with the film. The audiobook for Girl on the Train is narrated by Clare Corbett and Louise Brealey and is 11 hours long. The penultimate book in the Lorien Legacies series, The Fate of Ten, is scheduled for release September 1, 2015. The first book of the series, I Am Number Four, was released back in 2010 and subsequently had a film adapted in its honor, starring Alex Pettyfer and Timothy Olyphant. Neither the box office numbers nor the critical response of the film were anything to get excited over and the sequel was shelved. The six books thus far in the Lorien Legacies series have one narrator in common, Neil Kaplan, but use an array of narrators for different voices. Each book hovers around the 10 hour mark. Audiobook Reviews Often called a manifesto, Steven Pressfield's Do The Work is an action guide that helps readers address points of resistance along the road to the completion of a project. Interestingly, the foreword is written by the author of the book that Brian listened to, Seth Godin, and in it he writes: "It will help you understand why you're stuck; it will kick you in the pants, and it will get you moving." The book was originally published in April of 2011 is a follow up to Pressfield's 2002 non-fiction book The War of Art (not to be confused with The Art of War by Sun Tzu, which Brian reviewed last week). Both books address the enemy of creativity and how to empower oneself to rise above the fear often accompanied by participating in a world where criticism and roadblocks abound. Whether you're a creative type or an entrepreneur, this book can bring you step by step through the process of overcoming that fear and resistance in order to produce your desired result. And Pressfield does it all in 1 hour and 26 minutes! Purple Cow: Transform Your Business by Being Remarkable by Seth Godin follows a very similar vein, but is pleasantly complementary to Do The Work. The 2003 book is 3 hours in length and, like Do the Work, is also narrated by its author.  The phrase purple cow comes from a 1895 poem by Gelett Burgess: I never saw a Purple Cow, I never hope to see one; But I can tell you, anyhow, I'd rather see than be one. The short, quippy poem became popular very quickly and Burgess actually came to regret writing it. He wrote a follow up poem in 1897, the last line of which reads: "I'll Kill you if you Quote it!" Most authors would kill for that kind of popularity, not kill because of the popularity. Despite the author's backtracking, the poem has a unique nuance in modern culture. It can be read as embracing the idea of sticking to the status quo because sticking out is harder than fitting in, but Godin takes a different approach. Godin embraces the heart of this poem by pointing out that, as a society, we are saturated in choices that have few differences. The status quo, the traditional marketing techniques, no longer cut it in our fast-paced, mostly-online culture, and this idea of putting a purple cow into everything you do embraces the idea of being different. In one interview, Godin says: "Purple Cow is about the inexorable decline in the effectiveness of advertising and what to do about it." It's not effective to be status quo; don't see the purple cow, be the purple cow! Start with Pressfield's book, learn to overcome the fears that hold you back from achieving your dreams, then read Godin's book to discover how being the purple cow of your industry will produce the type of results you're looking for! Then report back and tell us how you did! Show us some love!
