Watch the Trailer for "My Dreams of You" Our Thoughts on "My Dreams of You" What We Liked Firstly, big kudos to Hallmark for embracing diversity with "My Dreams of You". One of the film's strengths is its casting. We were thrilled to see an Indian American actor, Kapil Talwalkar, in the leading role. It felt fresh and exciting, breaking from the typical mold of Hallmark leads. Plus, let's not forget Cecilia Lee, who shone as Allura and, for us, stole the spotlight in every scene she was in. Speaking of characters, we appreciated Skylar Samuels as Grace. It seems Hallmark might be grooming her for the spotlight. From her earlier roles in shows like "Drake and Josh" to her Hallmark mystery stints, she's proving to be a rising star. As for the plot, Dream Central was a fascinating concept. We loved the big swings Hallmark took with this idea, even if it got a bit confusing at times (we'll get to that later!). And how adorable was that rain-soaked kiss? It brought a genuine sense of romance and progress to Grace and Michael's budding relationship without fast-forwarding to unrealistic love declarations. What We Wished For Now, onto our wishes. The movie didn't come without its flaws. We found that it suffered from a lack of clear direction in the storytelling. The dual dreams and real-life struggles theme felt a bit overstuffed. Dream Central could have easily carried the plot without needing both leads to chase professio...

Living through the unimaginable - caregiving her son from his diagnosis of carcinoma at age 13, and through a 2nd diagnosis at 19, completely altered the trajectory of Allura's life. Kara has returned from the Phantom Zone.  It is a place where despair reigns supreme and time doesn't advance.  Lena designed a yellow sun bomb to reinvigorate her best friend and break her out of that dark, hopeless place. Supergirl is home but the Phantom Zone still haunts her. Alex will not leave her side.  They are stronger together.  As an unstoppable force they will take on whatever National City has to face next. Andrea is irritated that Kara did not come back to work with a big story.  Catco is falling behind the other news outlets and Ms. Rojas is desperate to get back on top. As Acrata she uses her shadow power to get a lead on Supergirl. If she can report on not only the Maid of Steel but her team as well that could put Catco back in the top spot. The Superfriends would be a great cover story. Kara has always been able to talk to Supergirl so Andrea puts her on the case. When Kara reads about the phantoms her team had to deal with in her absence her blood runs cold. Uncle Archie aka Zor-El is adjusting to life under a yellow sun. He is interested in learning what his daughter has been doing here on Earth. He flies with her to put out a garbage fire before it can become an ecological disaster. Zor-El is concerned because death of the oceans is what spelled doom for Krypton. Kara shows her father the fortress. That is where he develops an idea to modify Kalex to dispose of trash in a nontoxic way. The plan seems successful at first.  Then the power core in the droid malfunctions causing the trash to not disappear but pile onto itself. This causes a giant being made of rubbish to form and threaten the city. The team must work together using their various strengths to vanquish “Bad Trash”.  Zor-El decides it is time to head to Argo City to face Allura. Lena wants to go home and explore her roots on her mother's side.  Kara and Alex return to the couch for some dinner and some wine. Alex reiterates to Kara that she will be with her every step of the way as she deals with the trauma caused by the Phantom Zone. Stronger together! Always and forever! This is the strength they will draw on as Nia is awakened by a dream of Nyxly. A maiden sure to cause some mischief as our story continues…

The number of citizens infected by the phantoms continues to rise.  Brainy keeps constructing more containment pods. If a new plan is not formed soon, Supergirl will come home to a phantom zone on Earth!  With each life force gained, Phantom Prime becomes more powerful. If the team cannot find the chrysalis before it solidifies, the infected will be lost souls forever! Meanwhile in the phantom zone Nyxly uses her magic to portal to the pocket where Kara believes the exit from this dimension is. Allura would never leave her guards stranded. They are quickly disappointed as they find the portal mirror broken. Kara refuses to lose hope despite her father’s skepticism.  Back on Earth, Alex refuses to believe that she will not succeed in both missions in front of her. She must save the city and her sister.  She soon comes to realize that an impossible choice needs to be made. What would Kara do in this moment?   Alex has no doubt that her sister would save the world before herself every single time. Alex must soldier on and make the hard choices so she does not lose both battles.  Nia is frustrated with her powers. Why does she keep dreaming of Kara and Alex in high school?  How can that possibly be significant on the current mission?  It is splitting her focus and making it hard for her to find Phantom Prime’s lair.  M’gann only received a part of her soul from J’onn, leaving the rest of her soul trapped in the chrysalis with the others. This gives her the power to sense phantoms and therefore help Dreamer with the mission.  Lena is really enthusiastic about working with the team at the tower.  She develops a device to capture phantoms hands free, keeping you safe from a scratch that will steal your soul. She also has a way to locate Kara in the fractured phantom zone.   If only they could find something containing her genetic code.  Time is running out and the chrysalis is about to become impenetrable.  Alex will have to make a hard choice. She takes the device from Lena and changes its function. Now she can use it to pierce the chrysalis and free all the souls inside.  Back in the phantom zone Nyxly is not quite what she seems.  Supergirl thought she found an ally in a world full of foes but she was wrong. Nyxly wanted Supergirl to activate the portal out of this dark place. When Supergirl realizes Nyxly’s  nefarious intentions she smashes the mirror. This possibly sentences herself and her father to an eternity of darkness. She did what she had to do. She would not let an imp set on vengeance loose on the Earth. Kara will find another way and will never lose hope because she is our Maid of Steel.
