He has published over 100 scholarly articles, eight editions of the acclaimed book Real Estate Finance and Investments: Risks and Opportunities, and the widely read Linneman Letter quarterly report. He is also the co-creator of the popular, and highly regarded, Real Estate Finance and Investment Certification course, REFAI. Most recently, he co-authored (with Dr. Michael Roizen and Albert Ratner) the best-selling book "The Great Age Reboot: Cracking the Longevity Code for a Younger Tomorrow."Peter's long and ongoing business career is highlighted by his roles as Founding Principal of Linneman Associates, LLC, a leading real estate advisory firm, and its affiliates. P., Bodurka, J. Abstract: Electroencephalography microstates (EEG-ms) capture and reflect the spatio-temporal neural dynamics of the brain. A growing literature is employing EEG-ms-based analyses to study various mental illnesses and to evaluate brain mechanisms implicated in cognitive and emotional processing. The spatial and functional interpretation of the EEG-ms is still being investigated. Previous works studied the association of EEG-ms time courses with blood-oxygen-level-dependent (BOLD) functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) signal and suggested an association between EEG-ms and resting-state networks (RSNs). However, the distinctive association between EEG-ms temporal dynamics and brain neuronal activities is still not clear, despite the assumption that EEG-ms are an electrophysiological representation of RSNs activity. Recent works suggest a role for brain spontaneous EEG rhythms in contributing to and modulating canonical EEG-ms topographies and determining their classes (coined A through D) and metrics. This work simultaneously utilized EEG and fMRI to understand the EEG-ms and their properties further. We adopted the canonical EEG-ms analysis to extract three types of regressors for EEG-informed fMRI analyses: EEG-ms direct time courses, temporal activity per microstate, and pairwise temporal transitions among microstates (the latter two coined activity regressors). After convolving EEG-ms regressors with a hemodynamic response function, a generalized linear model whole-brain voxel-wise analysis was conducted to associate EEG-ms regressors with fMRI signals. The direct time course regressors replicated prior findings of the association between the fMRI signal and EEG-ms time courses but to a smaller extent. Notably, EEG-ms activity regressors were mostly anticorrelated with fMRI, including brain regions in the somatomotor, visual, dorsal attention, and ventral attention fMRI networks with no significant overlap for default mode, limbic or frontoparietal networks. A similar pattern emerged in using the transition regressors among microstates but not in self-transitions. The relatively short duration of each EEG-ms and the significant association of EEG-ms activity regressors with fMRI signals suggest that EEG-ms manifests successive transition from one brain functional state to another rather than being associated with specific brain functional state or RSN networks. Nawaf Refai, owner and head pitmaster of 2 Smokin Arabs would have to be one of the most gentlemanly fellows in the Australian BBQ scene. Known as Raf by his friends, he was bitten by the BBQ bug several years ago, and what started out as a casual toe-dip into the competitive BBQ scene has evolved into so much more. Raf has gone all-in with his food truck - 2 Smokin Arabs and has grown the business to an incredibly successful level in an incredibly short period of time. And there's big things coming for him just around the corner - but I'll leave that for him to tell you in the episode.  But it's not just his track record on the competition circuit and the food truck scene that sets him apart. He is a man who understands that his business owes its success to the support of the community that he services. And so he does everything he can to give back. In last year's bushfires he and his team hit the road and not only served the first responders, but also put on fundraising dinners, with the proceeds paid directly to said first responders to help them make sure they had everything they needed. And this is just the tip of the iceberg that is this man's generosity. Jumana Al Refai is a professionally trained dancer and choreographer in ballet and modern dance. She has over 20 years of experience and has trained, performed, and worked with internationally recognized dancers and choreographers. She holds a BFA in dance from the George Mason University’s School of Dance and completed her training with The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater school recently in New York City. Today, she teaches and choreographs students of different ages and dance experience in Kuwait, where she is originally from. Nour El Refai, komiker och skådespelare, är ännu inte trettio men har redan gjort stora roller på scenen, varit programledare i Melodifestivalen, hörts i radio och skrivit manus. Nour El Refai är född 1987 i Libanon och uppvuxen i Lund, där hon gick på estetiska programmet på gymnasiet med teaterinriktning. Hon har gjort humor både på scen, till exempel Almost like boys på Riksteatern och på teve Raj raj, Hus i helvete och Ballar av stål.  Hon har varit programledare för melodifestivalen. Hon har gjort radio och spelat teater. Hon har varit med i Grease på Göta Lejon och gjort titelrollen i Peter Schaffers Amadeus på länsteatern i Örebro i Alexander Öbergs regi. Dessutom har hon medverkat i femtontalet filmer och tv-serier. Just nu är hon aktuell med föreställningen En komisk depression, som den här våren turnerar med Riksteatern över hela landet. Det är en monolog, som hon skrivit själv och som Camilla van der Meer Söderberg har regisserat.  I maj är det också nypremiär på Dramaten för den uppsättning av Karlsson på taket, som tidigare spelats på Göteborgs Stadsteater, där hon gör rollen som Lillebror.

Hon turnerar just nu Sverige runt med sin egen föreställning En komisk depression. Den handlar om året 2012 när Nour El Refai var "ledsnast i världen" och skickade "4000 fyllesms i veckan". För skådespelaren och komikern Nour El Refai har det så länge hon kan minnas varit självklart att det var på scenen hon skulle stå. Och redan som tonåring började karriären.  2004 var hon med i sin första film och sedan dess har 28-åriga Nour El Refai hunnit med otaliga film-, tv- och scenproduktioner. Exempelvis Melodifestivalen, Boys, Musikhjälpen, Karlsson på taket och Ballar av stål.Men vägen till rampljuset har varit tuff. I Söndagsintervjun i P1 pratar Nour El Refai om sin fattiga uppväxt i Skåne med mamman och bröderna, om mobbningen och tidningsrubrikerna. Jag är en kort tjej med långt hår och ganska stora rattar. Jag pratar skånska och jobbar på tv. Så beskriver Nour El Refai sig själv för Lilla Al-Fadji. Hon drömmer om att vara riktigt duktig på någon sport en vacker dag, detta trots att hon varken är särskilt sportintresserad eller atletisk. För tillfället får hon nöja sig med att vara skådis, manusförfattare, programledare och en av Sveriges främsta komiker. Det finns mycket om Nour El Refai som publiken kanske inte känner till. Hon har jägarexamen och gillar att vara ute i naturen. Ännu har hon inte skjutit en älg, men däremot har hon skjutit en kronhjort. Hon skulle aldrig drömma om att skjuta ett lejon! Hon är riktigt duktig på att härma katter. Hon älskar att ha sex. Hon gillar att gå på museum, men något hon gillar ännu mer, är att inte gå på museum. Nej, helst umgås hon med vänner och går på olika hemmafester. För det där med att gå ut, är inte alltid så kul. Lilla Al-Fadji har hört ett rykte om just Nours relation till utekvällar, så han har ordnat en superfest för henne. Man får till och med betalt om man går på dit! Nu närmar sig 20-årsjubileumet för Berlinmurens fall. Därför passar Kino på att sätta fokus på filmen från landet som inte längre finns, DDR. Claus Löser är dokumentärfilmare, filmrecensent och filmvetare och berättar om det hårda kulturella klimatet för filmarna i diktaturens Östtyskland. Det finns faktiskt svenskar som sett Östtysklands filmindustri inifrån under dess storhetstid. Skådespelerskan Stina Ekblad gjorde sin allra första filmroll i DEFAs studio i Berlin 1977. Hon spelade huvudrollen i den östtyska filmen die Verfuhrbaren. Filmen handlar om en flicka från Lübeck som möter livet i Berlin. I veckans Kino berättar Stina för första gången om sina minnen från den tiden. När Cissi Elwin tog över som VD för Svenska filminstitutet var en av hennes målsättningar att svensk film skulle bli så framgångsrik att den då så hyllade danska filmindustrin skulle bli avundsjuka på oss. Nu är vi nästan där. På filmfestivalen CPH:DOX planerar man ett seminarium om den svenska vågen, och har hyrt in en hel jury med svenskar som ska betygsätta filmerna på festivalen. Hör Mads Mikkelsen från CHP:DOX berätta om vad det är som danskarna går igång på med svensk film. Hur gör man det som ingen vill ta i med tång tillgängligt och till och med underhållande? I veckan drog UR:s nya serie "Hemlös" igång, ett program om hur man ska utrota hemlösheten med det udda paret komikern Nour el Refai och den hemlösa Helene Westerlund som programledare.
