La emprendedora ferrolana Marta Río ha dado un paso más en su trayectoria con el lanzamiento de «Arsenal Ferrol», una fragancia que busca capturar la esencia de la ciudad naval. El perfume, creado bajo el sello de La Botica de los Perfumes, nace con la intención de convertirse en un recuerdo sensorial tanto para visitantes como para vecinos. Con más de una década dedicada a la perfumería natural en Ferrol, Río explica desde su establecimiento en la galeria comercial de Alcampo que la idea surgió al detectar la falta de un aroma que representase el carácter local. «Queríamos que quien visite la ciudad pueda llevarse algo más que una imagen: un olor que, al usarlo, le transporte de nuevo aquí», señala. «Arsenal Ferrol», nombre inspirado en el histórico Arsenal de Ferrol, es una fragancia unisex con notas frescas de sal marina, brisa atlántica y matices cítricos. Un perfume que evoca paseos por el puerto o travesías hacia Mugardos, con ese inconfundible toque a salitre. Se presenta en formato de 60 mililitros, con diseño pensado para viaje, y solo estará disponible en la tienda local. La creadora no descarta ampliar la línea en el futuro ni introducir el producto en hoteles, reforzando así su vocación turística. Con este lanzamiento, la firma apuesta por Ferrol entre las más de 250 referencias de perfumes que comercializa en toda España y apuesta por una identidad propia: un aroma que, literalmente, huele a Ferrol.

Perfume is a luxury product worn by people all around the world, but fragrances are not without health risks. Perfumes use a mix of chemicals, some are natural, such as essential oils from plants, but many of them are synthetic, meaning they are created in a laboratory. The problem is that the perfume industry is not very transparent about what goes into their products. They can hide hundreds of ingredients under the vague term "fragrance", without disclosing them to the consumers or the regulators.
