In this second half of last week's discussion, Kelly and Lauren open up about the messy, real side of living a minimalist lifestyle. You will continue to be reminded that living a Minimalist lifestyle is about surrounding yourself with what you need and love and letting go of the rest. And since excess will always come and go, this lifestyle requires regular check-ins and mistakes are part of the process. Kelly and Lauren answer the following questions:  What area(s) of your life still feels cluttered? Or, what area of your life feels challenging to maintain at times? What's something you keep more quantities of that you admittedly don't need or love and need to work on letting go of? Can you share a story of how you overpacked on a trip or failed your minimalist ways while travelling? What's one area of clutter are you still working on such as physical clutter, a habit, mindset etc.? What advice would you give to someone who is new to minimalism and is struggling with doing it perfectly? In this honest and open one-on-one conversation, Kelly and Lauren dive into the transformative power of creating a Not-To-Do List, which they believe is a simple and profound tool to help you clear space for what truly matters. Rather than adding more to your already-packed to-do list, they challenge you to flip the script and examine the habits, obligations, and distractions that may be holding you back. You'll discover how purposeful subtraction can be just as powerful, if not more so, than constantly striving for more. Instead of piling on more, what if we focused on what we could remove? In this snackable episode from our Essential series, Kelly speaks with American scientist, engineering professor, and best-selling author Leidy Klotz, who wrote the New York Times bestseller Subtract: The Untapped Science of Less. You'll learn about the science behind our natural tendency to add rather than subtract, and how we can counter this instinct by consciously considering subtraction as a powerful option. Plus, Kelly and Leidy share practical examples of how to apply the power of subtraction in everyday life.

#516: Strategies for Momentum and Productivity in Real Estate this 2024 Momentum in the real estate industry is a powerful force, and this podcast episode, hosted by John Kitchens, delves into harnessing this vital energy for unparalleled success. The episode begins with a reflection on the team's achievements in January, where it played a critical role in closing deals and exceeding targets. As John Kitchens unfolds the narrative, listeners gain insight into the strategic application of motivation, not just in high-peak seasons, but also in navigating slower market conditions. The conversation pivots to the practical aspects of maintaining this. One key strategy discussed is the innovative use of resources, particularly virtual assistants and administrative staff. The episode illustrates how these resources can be effectively utilized to streamline processes, manage routine tasks, and ultimately free up agents to focus on high-impact activities. This approach not only boosts efficiency but also enhances client satisfaction, as agents can dedicate more time to understanding and meeting their clients' needs. A unique aspect of this episode is the exploration of the "less is more" approach. John Kitchens details how strategic pauses and a focused approach can lead to an increase in contracts and closings. This counterintuitive strategy is a testament to the importance of quality over quantity in the real estate business. Additionally, the episode underscores the critical role of client consultations. By addressing potential deal breakers upfront and providing a comprehensive, client-centric experience, real estate agents can build lasting relationships that go beyond mere transactions. John Kitchens also emphasizes the significance of momentum in client interactions. He advocates for a personalized approach to communication, where agents not only respond to clients' needs but also anticipate them. This proactive stance is crucial in building trust and loyalty, which are cornerstones of a successful real estate career. Moreover, the podcast delves into the tactical use of virtual assistants to maintain and build upon this boost. These assistants play a pivotal role in handling administrative tasks, managing expired listings, and following up on cancellations, thereby allowing agents to concentrate on more strategic aspects of their work. Listeners will appreciate the episode's focus on continuous improvement and adaptation. The real estate market is ever-evolving, and staying ahead requires agents to be agile, knowledgeable, and client-focused. The episode provides a roadmap for agents to enhance their skills, adopt new technologies, and implement innovative strategies to stay competitive. This podcast episode is not just about strategies; it's about transformation. It's about understanding the dynamics of the real estate market and using this knowledge to create a sustainable and thriving business. For agents looking to elevate their practice, this episode offers a wealth of knowledge, practical tips, and inspirational stories that underscore the power of momentum in achieving real estate excellence. Live Broadcast:Host ORRA talks about Less Is More for 2024.In a world that is constantly bombarding us with endless options and distractions, the concept of "less is more" has never been more relevant. As we approach 2024, it is important to adopt this mentality and focus on what truly matters. This means decluttering our lives, both physically and mentally, and prioritizing the things that bring us genuine joy and fulfillment. By simplifying our lives and cutting out the excess, we can create more space for the things that truly matter, whether it's spending quality time with loved ones or pursuing our passions. Here are some practical steps you can take to embrace the "less is more" mentality and simplify your life.Step 1: Reflect on Your Values: Take some time to reflect on what truly matters to you. Identify your core values and use them as a guide when making decisions.Step 2: Declutter Your Physical Space: Start small by decluttering one area of your home. Ask yourself if each item brings you joy or serves a practical purpose. Consider donating or selling things that no longer align with your values.Step 3: Digital Detox: Set aside specific times each day to disconnect from your devices. Turn off notifications and be present in the moment. This will help reduce mental clutter and allow for more intentional focus.Step 4: Practice Mindfulness: Incorporate mindfulness practices into your daily routine. This could be through meditation, deep breathing exercises, or simply paying full attention to your surroundings.Step 5: Learn to Say No: Understand that saying no is a powerful tool for prioritization. It allows you to focus on what truly matters without spreading yourself too thin.Check out Jan L Wade Instagram Page at: https://www.instagram.com/janlwadeesquire1003/ Welcome to the Network of Awareness Podcast Radio Show!
