Liberal member of Parliament has once again apologized for comparing Pierre Poilievre to Nazis, after previously apologizing for comparing Poilievre to Nazis. The apology rings hollow when it's clear Hardie actually views the Conservatives this way, True North's Andrew Lawton says. Also, the federal government continues to defend its carbon tax – which is set to increase once again on Monday. Economics professor Ross McKitrick says Canada needs a leader who will be honest about climate policy. Plus, a new poll shows Canadians want “major changes” to the healthcare system, yet reform is always treated like a third rail in Canadian politics. We begin with a conversation with Marci Ien, Liberal MP and Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Youth, who is in Calgary for a series of announcements on Affordable Housing. Minister Ien gives us details on the Liberal plan – which was laid out in the 2022 Federal Budget. Next, we look at Canada's Investment on ‘Green Technology,' in particular, if the current program will be enough to meet our 2050 “Emissions Goals”. We discuss with Ross McKitrick, Professor of Economics, from the University of Guelph and Senior Fellow with the Fraser Institute. Still on the topic of ‘emissions,' we hear about the latest ‘tech' being used to capture atmospheric ‘carbon' invented right here in Alberta. We get details on the process from Amy Tsai, Professor in the Faculty of Engineering from the University of Alberta. Finally, it's our monthly visit with Dr. Axel Morenschlager, Director of Conservation & Science from the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo. This time out, Dr. Morenschlager brings us details on how Calgary frogs are ‘hopping' into action to help ‘urban frogs' around the world! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In today's episode we continue our investigation into the actual science behind the Earth's ever changing climate, and provide clear evidence to counter the bogus and misleading mainstream narrative. Today we are very fortunate to host a fellow Canadian and great scholar on the program, Dr. Christopher Essex. Dr. Essex is Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of Applied Mathematics at The University of Western Ontario. Dr. Essex is well known for his pioneering work on the thermodynamics of photon and neutrino radiation. His work also includes applications of dynamical systems theory, such as chaos cryptography, and recently, the limits of modelling and computation, among other applications of mathematics. Professor Essex has recently become Chair of the WORLD FEDERATION OF SCIENTISTS Permanent Monitoring Panel for Climate. Professor Essex is an award-winning teacher and a recipient, along with Ross McKitrick, of the Donner Prize in 2002 (given annually for the best books on Canadian public policy) for the book Taken by Storm, now in its second edition. The book was also a finalist for the 2002 Canadian Science Writers Book Award. Aside being denounced in Canada's Parliament as a "denier of climate science", Professor Essex has a blessing from the Vatican, and his work has been cited on the floor of the US Senate. Both Leslie Woods and the renowned Princeton physicist and futurist Freeman Dyson have personally instructed Dr. Essex in the much-misunderstood but crucial art of scientific heresy. Professor Essex is also co-discoverer of the entropy production paradox of anomalous super-diusion. While a guest of the Vatican, he also discovered, modern mathematics (Sierpinski triangles) embedded in the ancient door tiles of the Vatican museum. This episode will tackle the issue of climate change or global cooling or global warming (depending on what decade in which the issue is being pushed). Specifically we are going to review this topic from the perspective of the propaganda, lies, and deception that surround the topic. The list is long but I tackle five instances: The Hockey Stick Temperature Chart. The claim that 97% of climate scientists are in agreement. The University of East Anglia scandal. Al Gore's movie, The Inconvenient Truth The ridiculous claim that "the debate is settled" and "there is consensus". The bottom line is, with such a prolific history of data manipulation, lies, and propaganda, why is there a lack of healthy skeptism around the claims made by climate change alarmist?
