Rides: Buzzard's roost, Rocky Knob, Jarrod's Place, Tow strap rips, etc. Latest events: PTC Criterium, Roswell pedal day, DHSE, Shorties, Trail RangersLatest news: Bye bye Revel, Singletrack deals, MTB Lawyer new bike (keep it quiet), hidden easter egg, and people need to stop pooping on the floor at Sope... Use Gnargnomies when you email fredballar@gmail.com for a place to stay in Pisgah for 10% off. Use Gnargnomies5 for $5 off your day pass at Jarrod's when you book online.

Bhakti Recovery Podcast Shorties Focus: Keeping the main thing the main thing – showing up and letting Krishna do His work. Third Step of the Bhakti Recovery Group: Making a conscious decision to turn our will and lives over to the care of Krishna as we understand Him. Bhagavad Gita verses: Chapter 3, Verse 36 Chapter 18, Verses 57-66 Lording over material nature, mode of passion Key Insights: Once yogurt is yogurt, we can't make it milk again – only Krishna can. We need Krishna because we are somehow spoiled and need His transformative grace. Despite Krishna offering love and bliss, we often choose the equivalent of "poop rocks" instead – resisting the divine light. Association with devotees helps train us to look at Krishna's light rather than turning away. Trust Krishna's guidance, practice humility, and stay grounded in spiritual recovery.
Great Shorties: "Im Felsennest" – Im Jemen, von Dieter R. FuchsEs liest Uwe Kullnick(Hördauer ca. 12 min)Dr.
"Let it go, and be free." Forgiveness isn't about excusing harm—it's about freeing ourselves. When we zoom out beyond our egos, we see a bigger picture. Not everyone is meant to be our people, but they might be someone's people. Wish them well and move on. No need for resentment, no room for vengeance—just space for peace.
"Let us love you until you can love yourself." Sadhu Sanga—spiritual fellowship—is essential for growth. We lift each other up, offering encouragement and receiving it in return. In this sacred space, we empower and get empowered, learning through shared wisdom and love. Recovery and devotion thrive in connection.

January of 2025 marks 10 years of the current version of Machine—I say current only because I started Machine in 2002 as a motion graphics business then transitioned into what we have now in 2015. It's been quite a ride so far, but it still feels like we haven't even started yet. In 2015, it was mainly a one man show. I lived in the back of the shop with my four dogs. No heat, air, hot water, kitchen, shower, or any of the creature comforts we're used to. I cooked on a hot plate and showered at the YMCA. I was all in on the vision, but it wasn't a clear vision at all. I just wanted to do something positive for the graff culture by opening a place for writers to gather, blackbook, attend art shows, etc. Over time, it developed into what you see now. Lots of ups and downs and a huge amount of great memories. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this. Team members, customers, supporters, collaborators, everyone. We have a long way to go. — Bus P.S. Rest in peace Kub, Herbie, Hooper, and Shortie. I think about you all the time.
Do we need to be 100% ready or believe in ourselves 100% to get started?Jen Gottlieb argues, "No!" I share one of my favorite concepts from Jen's book Be Seen. This is a powerful concept (especially for over-researchers, over-planners, or perfectionists) that just may change your life and help you go all in now.**Welcome to "Shorties" -- quick episodes that help you discover more possibilities for how you approach life, in addition to learning the possibilities for cool jobs!Send Julie a text!!------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I absolutely LOVE being the host and producer of "Women with Cool Jobs", where I interview women who have unique, trailblazing, and innovative careers.
