Tom Mangelsen is a renowned American nature and wildlife photographer celebrated for his breathtaking imagery that captures some of the planet's most iconic animals in their natural habitats. Born in Nebraska, Mangelsen's early fascination with the outdoors, fostered by time spent hunting and fishing along the Platte River, laid the foundation for his lifelong dedication to conservation-focused photography. Over the course of his prolific career, he has traveled across all seven continents, documenting everything from Alaskan brown bears to Africa's majestic elephants traversing vast savannas and many places in between. His commitment to capturing authentic wildlife moments has made him a recipient of numerous awards, including recognition by the BBC as one of the 40 most influential nature photographers in the world.Grizzly 399 was a world-famous grizzly bear residing primarily in Grand Teton National Park, often hailed as the “Matriarch of the Tetons.” Born in 1996, she has garnered widespread media and public attention for raising numerous litters of cubs - often in close proximity to roads and park visitors - while maintaining a relatively calm demeanor around humans. Her remarkable maternal track record has contributed significantly to our understanding of grizzly behavior and ecology in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. A lot of the time as husbands and fathers we find ourselves in the mode of busy-ness, but that doesn't necessarily mean that we are productive. Being busy does not always equal that we are productive, but if we actually focus on productivity, we will actually lead a more fulfilling life. The question then becomes, how do I actually do that? How do I not get sucked into these distractions and these other things that I could be doing but don't move the needle at all. My guest, Demir Bentley, is a renowned productivity experte and co-founder of The Life Hack Method. He comes from a successful background in Wall St., being burned-out from working 80 hr. work weeks. The Life Hack Method is a methodology that combines accountability with hard-hitting productivity techniques that will get us to take action. Demir has personally coached executives from Facebook, Google, Uber, PepsiCo, and Lexar. And his clients have added millions in revenue and saved thousands of hours after implementing his coaching. Before starting Lifehack Method, Demir & his wife Carey worked in the CPG, government, technology and finance industries. Their work has been featured in Forbes, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, and many other media outlets. Fun fact: They live a nomadic lifestyle and are based out of Medellin, Colombia Show Notes: www.thedadedge.com/friday52

In 2003, security researchers Katie Moussouris and a colleague at enterprise security firm @stake—which would later be acquired by Symantec—found a bad flaw in an encrypted flash drive from Lexar. It was trivial to uncover the password that decrypted the drive's data. But when they tried to let Lexar know? "Things went wrong," says Chris Wyspol, who was also working at @stake at the time.
The Winning Combo - Marketing & Sales Success Plus Personal Development Podcast
Power Quote: "People buy from people" In a world so focused on technology and inventions, how we transact online or in-person is always through some form of relationship with other people. Mark Adams talked about two examples - Amazon whose biggest strength is "study what other people want from their service" - Domino's pizza slogan "your pizza is free if not delivered in 30 mins" demonstrating understanding of their consumers' unstated desire and emotions Personal Story and Lessons: "Relationships have to be balanced and good for both parties" As the President of Micron, Mark felt very compelled to take a hard stance with the world's largest consumer tech company. Listen to the story for what prompted Mark to take a HUGE decision even as he felt he was putting his career in jeopardy, what his thought process was like and how the situation played out. You will hear Mark's advice on when it is time for you to stand up and push back on your customer. Closing Takeaway: Mark always tells himself - "Be humble, be hungry and always be the hardest working person in the room" Listen to Mark's actionable insights and what keeps him grounded even after building a very impressive career serving as a senior-level executive at several multi-billion dollar companies.
