In part two, we continue our conversation with Charline's sister, Rose, as we look closely at the events surrounding her 2009 murder in Somerville, Mass, and the suspicion among people known to her. We look at whether there was a plot to lure Charline to a familiar location under the guise of a great deal on a nice car, and rob her of the money she had for the purchase. Anyone with information about Charline Rosemond's murder, please call the Middlesex District Attorney's Office at 781-897-6600.Follow Justice for Charline RosemondSomerville Police Anonymous TipsMassachusetts Missing and Murdered Advocacy CoalitionBoston Globe Cold Case Files story about Charline by Emily SweeneyBoston.com versionSomerville, the bustling city of arts and culture that borders Boston is a safe place to be. And the fact that Charline Rosemond was murdered, found in Union Square behind the Mid Nite Convenience Store, which is still there to this day, tells me a few things. We've established Charline was offered a car that was for sale at a crazy great deal. Let's add it up: A Lexus with a reported value around $6,000 was offered to Charline for the sum of $4,000, money Charline had and had quick access to, the sum of money Charline had with her when she left her parents' house in Everett for the last time on April 6, 2009. Charline knew the people who made her this too-good-to-be-true offer. The sum of money that was not in her pocketbook when she was found in her dad's Honda six days after she went missing. The car was found in a parking lot in a very busy area of the city. Was she there the whole time?An anonymous post about "should I snitch or mind my own business" indicates that people aren't being quiet about this crime. A crime that cannot be the only crime committed by whoever set Charline up to rob her. A local man was arrested and charged with perjury in the weeks after Charline's murder.More at crimeofthetruestkind.comSend a message to the showSupport the showLive show! Murdered. The Dogmatics were on a roll in the mid eighties with two great albums out on Homestead Records, huge college radio support, and tour dates across America, when tragedy struck and leader/bassist Paul O' Halloran was killed in a motorcycle accident. — A central dilemma for spiritual seekers, and perhaps for all human beings, is learning how to live with one part of our awareness rested into the profound stillness of the unconditioned mind, while simultaneously being fully engaged in the unique context of our lives. This is an art that requires years of practice. To accomplish this balance of stillness and movement we must be deeply rooted in the paradoxes of human existence. We must recognize ourselves as both form and formless, as a unique event in time and space, and also a timeless essence that transcends physical, psychological and cultural conditions. We must understand ourselves as beings with biological, psychological and cultural conditioning, and also as timeless wells of emptiness from which creation has mysteriously sprung. The practitioners that I have known that have embodied this moment of creation when emptiness flows into form and form into emptiness have a particular kind of energy about them. They transmit a timeless presence and transcendent quality of Being while simultaneously being fully focused, clear and deeply available in every moment. They are luminous, flowing, relaxed, fully present in the complexity of every context, and see the world with an admirable sense of objectivity. They are not “stuck”…. Tom is the US Director, Corporate Campus Distribution and Logistics @ Facebook for Canon Business Process Services. He is a successful, empathic leader, and coach with over 30 years of experience in leading and managing outsourcing teams across the US and Canada. Tom has been involved in many client verticals including technology, hospitality, legal, insurance, and government. Tom overcame seemingly insurmountable odds to become who he is today. He grew up just north of Boston in Somerville Massachusetts in government housing. Both of Tom's parents struggled with substance abuse as well as mental/emotional/physical abuse. This led Tom to determine in 5th grade that his life was going to be different. From there Tom made his own lunch, laid out his own clothes and arrived at school everyday at least an hour early playing sports. This led to a no “victim” philosophy and discipline that drove him to success in life, sports, mentoring, business and a very proud father of three young gentlemen ages 27, 25 and 20.
