Sometimes referred to as “applied kinesiology,” Kelly and Ian reveal how muscle testing is not only an important bio-feedback tool they use in clinical applications, but also share how it can be an effective technique for individuals seeking greater insight and management of their own health.   This discussion includes a detailed overview of how muscle testing assesses the body's intricate electrical networks. Today, I am blessed to have here with me, a holistic biological nutritionist and medical intuitive, Kelly Kennedy. Kelly's studies began more traditionally as a pre-med student at Cornell University, where she received a biology degree. Her father passed away from Hodgkin's disease when she was just 20. That same year, a car accident left her in chronic pain, emotionally drained, and her life in upheaval. After three years of succumbing to the contemporary allopathic paradigm without results, Kelly finally sought a different approach - BioRegulatory medicine - which permanently relieved her pain. Kelly knew she had found the answers she was seeking; she began working with Ian Kennedy, and a skilled, passionate practitioner was born. Today, Kelly is the Executive Director of The True Wellness Center in Pennsylvania and serves on the Board of Advisors of the Bioregulatory Medicine Institute. In a world facing health challenges of epidemic proportions, Kelly will not rest until "bioregulatory" becomes a household word. In this episode, Kelly Kennedy dives into her healing journey. After a nasty car accident and her father's untimely passing, Kelly went through hell and back to heal her body, mind, and spirit. To heal, Kelly needed to come to terms with her emotional turmoil. The critical component is the ability to “be.” Also, Kelly explores the issues with having scars and the importance of understanding our fascia. Stay tuned as we talk about why you should have an actual armpit and the correct way to dry brush. Ian walks us through the process of getting the improvements to Merriweather approved and funded, not as easy as you might think given the fact that nearly everyone that goes to Merriweather comes out with a smile on their face.  I know last week at the Phish concerts that was certainly the case. Let's pile on the glory for a man who has fought hard for the Arts, Culture and Musical enrichment for Marylanders that come from all over for the opportunity to enjoy the amazing amenities that Downtown Columbia has to offer. Thanks Ian for all you are doing, your work is so important...Let it shine let it shine!
