The Tortured Poets DepartmentLe 19 avril, Taylor Swift a sorti un nouvel album. Alone In The DarkVous pouvez retrouver sur Pc, Ps5 et XBox Série, ce nouveau remake de Alone In The Dark. Migraines, other health updates, generally reflecting on how functioning the last couple of weeks has been difficult on a lot of levels, and creativity are the main topics for this one. I also share a brand-new, never publicly shared story here for the first time. It's a short story: “Crushed” – really nervous about sharing, but I tried to promise myself that I'd work on writing more and I recently wrote this and felt decent about it. Since this is an accountability space for me, I figured I'd share it. The books I reference in this episode by title but not by author: Wool by Hugh Howey, Born to be Public by Greg Mania, and Spy x Family by Tatsuya Endo. Crushed is an original short story written by me. Do not reproduce it without expressed permission. (This is not permission.) As always, I swear and talk about a lot of heavy stuff; you've been warned. https://plus.badtaste.it ➡ Contenuti esclusivi, navigazione personalizzata e molto altro ti aspetta su BadTaste+.
In our first minisode we focus in on the topic of a Manga Illustrated by Tatsuya Endo, Spy x Family.
It's playoff time for a lot of things! LAFC has the first round bye in MLS, the Chicago Red Stars just won their semifinal match in NWSL, and nothing is good about baseball. Also basketball is about to start again, and I'm looking forward to jumping onto the Clippers x Kawhi bandwagon. Also, and I can't believe we're already here, but this is our 50th episode! I want to thank everyone for listening to us through this point, and thanks to Helen and Apyrll for joining me on this journey through manga. I've read or reread a lot of great manga, and I'm glad to be able to do this with friends. This, our 50th, episode we're talking about Haruko Kumota's Descending Stories: Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju published by Kodansha and Tatsuya Endo's Spy x Family published by Viz. The songs you heard in the episode were "Imawa no Shinigami" by Megumi Hayashibara and "Kawa, Taredoki" by Kana Shibue, both from the Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju anime. As always, you can find me on Twitter @ImpassionateK, and my co-hosts Helen (@WanderinDreamr) and Apryll (@manjiorin) on Twitter at those places in the parenthesis. You can find both of their writing at The Organization of Anti-Social Geniuses, more of Helen's writing at Narrative Investigations, and my writing at the Fandom Post. Listen Show notes: 0:35 - We talk about Descending Stories: Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju! 19:37 - We talk about Spy x Family! Next time is Wish and Chihayafuru!
