It goes without saying that security has not developed at an equal rate to software innovations in the last few decades. This has led to Cloud-Native organically evolving security to be coherent with how software is made today. In addition, creating disposable layers of protection on certain scales of attack has prevented security bottlenecking and allowed eager users to implement cloud-native. Nevertheless, questions are being posed as to the consequences of relying on such solutions and whether they are reliable or adequate to deal with the risks in the current landscape. Thorsten Geissel from Tufin joins me on Tech Talks Daily in a discussion about Traditional vs Cloud Native applications and the biggest risks of relying on native cloud security solutions. We also discuss whether cloud native tools are strong enough and how collaboration can be maintained and amplified to break free from silos.
Breaches are nothing new to the tech world. But since the beginning of the pandemic especially, the world has seen serious security attacks which have massively disrupted the functionality of enterprises. Moving to the cloud over the last two years has seen the world shook with some of the biggest and most unforgettable safety breaches like Accenture, Verizon and Kaseya - in fact, 40% of organisations experienced some sort of cloud-based data breach in 2021 (451 Research). Why are these cloud data breaches happening, and how serious is this issue? In this episode of the EM360 podcast, Content Producer Matt Harris talks to Thorsten Geissel, Director of Sales Engineering, EMEA at Tufin, to explore: The most common cloud misconfigurations that lead to security breaches Automation tech's role in security policy management How companies can achieve end-to-end cloud network security
In this episode, Don speaks with John Moran, Technical Director at Tufin, about policy management and governance in zero trust environments, risk quantification, and how their tools can help manage policy centrally across multiple platforms.

The cloud is far from new, but the tools, methods, and people that secure it are changing. Although the “castle” is still Security’s to protect, the guards may no longer be part of the team. Efforts are necessary to train, immerse, and provide real context for this new guard of cloud security, and companies are exploring how to do this effectively. Join Shay Dayan, CTO of Cloud at Tufin, and understand how companies are approaching this successfully to ensure that security is persistent despite the change inherent of cloud.

Acceptance of risk has overtaken the business; a dangerous position built on a crumbling foundation of decades worth of layered access. Digital transformation is fueled by and requires IT agility to ensure necessary connectivity. However, the adoption of cloud infrastructure requires us to rethink how we construct the foundation, and ensure security from the ground up. Join Alexander Busshoff, former security consultant for BDG, and current Solutions Architect at Tufin to understand the cultural changes needed within the business to reinforce security and regain relevance in a battle that security is often losing badly.

Unprotected. Server. Breached. These three words are as relevant in headlines today as they were in the 90s. Have we failed to translate lessons already learned to improved security? Security’s history and lessons learned are well documented, and our current processes clearly defined and structured. But our history isn’t that of the owners of the new network – the public cloud. And without being able to effectively bridge this organizational gap, our mistakes made are now repeated by the application development team. This episode of Security Rules features Colby Dyess as we cover the modern issues of cloud security, why breaches in the cloud are seemingly so common, and how organizations need to acclimate to the new world of security in the cloud. This episode is brought to you by Tufin, the makers of Tufin Iris. Tufin Iris is an agentless, cloud-native platform that enables IT Security to regain visibility and control security policies, powered by automation that integrates with DevOps pipelines. Tufin CEO, Ruvi Kitov, tells WBZ News why he chose Boston as the location for Tufin's U.S. headquarters.
Security Current podcast - for IT security, networking, risk, compliance and privacy professionals
Enterprise networks grow more complex by the day. With hundreds to thousands of firewall rules, devices and routers across on-premise and hybrid cloud environments, it is difficult to have visibility into the security policy change process. This complexity, combined with the increasing rate of change, leads to vulnerability in the network. In addition, business owners need to have applications provisioned quickly but have little consideration as to the security implications of their requests. In this Tufin sponsored podcast, David Cass, the Global Partner, Cloud Security and FSS CISO at IBM, discusses with Sagi Bar-Zvi, Tufin’s Solution Architect for the Americas, the benefits to CISOs of automating security policy orchestration. The two talk about how it delivers agility while verifying change requests – sometimes hundreds per day – will not cause a security breach once made.

Security Current podcast - for IT security, networking, risk, compliance and privacy professionals
Ensuring continuous compliance while reducing complexity is essential to bolstering security for many organizations, in particular, those that process credit card data. In this Tufin-sponsored podcast, IBM’s David Cass talks with Monext’s Laurent Klefstad, Leader for Systems, Network and Telecom, about automated security policy orchestration and how it allows the French company to save time and money by reducing the complexity of its networks and firewalls. Klefstad explains how Monext’s implementation of the Tufin solution provided Monext continuous compliance and the ability to reduce its firewall rules, of which there were about 3,000, by upwards of 20 percent. He also talks ROI, staffing implications and business enablement.
Security Current podcast - for IT security, networking, risk, compliance and privacy professionals
In this conversation, CISO David Cass and CTO Reuven Harrison, discuss the journey to the cloud. They talk about increasing enterprise cloud adoption and hybrid environments. They also discuss the associated demand for automation of network security policy implementation across these hybrid cloud infrastructures. In this sponsored podcast, you’ll hear how it is important to maintain business agility while securing applications in these increasingly diverse and complex networks. You’ll also learn how automation and orchestration help ensure visibility and control across heterogeneous networks.
