Obeying God Even When You Are Standing Alone | Esther 3-4 Study When we take a stand for Jesus, there are times when you are going to be standing alone. When you obey God there will be opposition. Would you be willing to obey God even if it means you are standing along? Mordecai and Esther were brought to Persia for a reason. They probably didn't understand it at first, but now they do and they are willing to obey the mission that God is giving them, even though they are standing alone. Esther is literally going to be walking into a potential death sentence, but besides the fear, she is going to obey God. We can learn something about faith and courage from these two. Would we be willing to stand up for Jesus Christ like Mordecai? There are times in life when you might not see the point of trusting God, especially in the difficult times. However, that is the precise time to Trust God even if you do not know what he is doing in your life. God is faithful and will never leave you and is working. You might not see it or even realize it, but he is working. This sums up a point we, not only as Christians, but human beings, do not like to think about. It is easy to trust God when everything is going well. When we can see what God is doing, we can trust him with little to no doubt. When you are learning how to swim, one of the crucial parts is that you… swim. The most important thing for you to do is to travel further and further into the depths of whatever body of water you are trying to swim in. It is expected of you, otherwise, you would never learn how to swim. The Christian life is the same way. We have to keep going deeper and deeper into the “Spiritual” waters, that is, the growth of our faith. But there are danger signs that are in the midst of this water.
