What can one person do to change the world? Julia Butterfly Hill answered this question with an extraordinary act of courage and conviction. Obeying God Even When You Are Standing Alone | Esther 3-4 Study When we take a stand for Jesus, there are times when you are going to be standing alone. When you obey God there will be opposition. Would you be willing to obey God even if it means you are standing along? Mordecai and Esther were brought to Persia for a reason. They probably didn't understand it at first, but now they do and they are willing to obey the mission that God is giving them, even though they are standing alone. Esther is literally going to be walking into a potential death sentence, but besides the fear, she is going to obey God. We can learn something about faith and courage from these two. Would we be willing to stand up for Jesus Christ like Mordecai? Would we be so obedient to God, that we would knowingly risk our lives to do what God is calling us to do like Esther did and is about to do? Repent of our sins 2. Turn to Jesus Christ 3. Believe in him (Believe that he died, was buried, and raised from the dead) The Bible says that as soon as we put out faith and trust in Jesus, God will forgive our sin and give us eternal life. Romans 10:9 “If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Time is short, accept Jesus Christ now! Jarrod Knepp, Along with studying the Bible, will also be discussing various topics about politics, abortion, homosexuality, and what the Bible says about these and many other things. Jarrod Knepp speaks on how you can come to have an understanding of the Word of God, applying it to our daily life as well as looking at major world events and how they fit in line with the plan of God, as well as breaking down other religions and comparing them with Scripture and showing how they fail to Biblical Scripture. Key Verse Jeremiah 15:11 When we are standing for the Lord and are greatly outnumbered, God will take care of us.
Trust Issues: Trusting God in Real Life. Part 5 - Standing Alone With Faith (Genesis 6) Standing alone with our faith can be difficult. This Sunday we will look at the life of Noah. Noah's faith was unwavering and exceptional. In a world engulfed in wickedness, he found favor with God. When instructed to build an ark for an impending flood, he followed God's guidance, enduring mockery, and ridicule from others. His faith in God's promise sustained him throughout the long and challenging process of constructing the ark. Noah's story underscores the power of faith, obedience, and trust in divine providence, ultimately leading to the salvation of his family and Earth's creatures.

Jeremiah had the unpleasant experience of being rejected for speaking the truth. It would happen many times in his prophetic ministry. The factory worker's back ached as he sat with his wife and daughter eating a meager breakfast. No enemy raids last night, so the family had actually slept well. His son entered the kitchen with the morning's mail in his small hands. His father took the stack from his boy, passed a letter to his wife from her mother—God protect her, he thought—and then opened the first envelope. His eyes widened as he read the words and then flickered to the door; he half expected Gestapo agents to burst through it. "Nothing is so unworthy of a civilized nation as allowing itself to be ‘governed' by an irresponsible clique that has yielded to base instinct. It is certain that today every honest German is ashamed of his government." The man folded the paper and put it back in the envelope, then tucked it into his waistcoat pocket. But that night, in a candlelit cellar, he read every word. It spoke of German history, of morality and ethics, and cursed the Führer's regime to the hell from which it had emerged. His eyes were wet with tears as he read its final words, lines of poetry from the great German writer Goethe: "Now I find my good men | Are gathered in the night, | To wait in silence, not to sleep. | And the glorious word of liberty, they whisper and murmur, | Till in unaccustomed strangeness, | On the steps of our temple | Once again they cry in delight | Freedom! Freedom!" Rural hospitals need support from their state legislatures to operate in a way that not only allows them to best serve their communities, but to survive in an increasingly challenging environment. Fighting for critical funding is often an uphill battle, especially when that means supporting programs that are unpopular in their community or with their elected officials. So, how do rural hospitals ensure that their voice is heard and their critical needs are met at the state legislative level? On today's episode, hosts JJ and Rachel talk with Mike Shirkey, State Senate Majority Leader, about ensuring rural hospitals are heard at the state legislative level. In order to be a faithful Christian, each of us must be willing and prepared to stand alone. We will all repeatedly face pressure to violate God's standards and go along with the crowd. In the workplace, our associates will likely engage in blasphemous speech and immoral activities, and occasionally, they will urge us to join them. At family gatherings over the holidays, the rest of the family may ridicule us for our theological convictions and commitments to godly parenting. In these settings, how will we respond? No one likes to be ridiculed or rejected. We all want to be liked and included. At some time or another, each of us will be tempted to simply go along with the crowd rather than to stand alone for Jesus Christ. However, if we choose to yield, we dishonor Christ and forfeit our distinctive witness for our Savior. In light of this, there is perhaps no greater example of a man who stood alone than Noah. Imagine what it would be like to be the only godly family on earth. Noah's life teaches us that Christians must be willing and prepared to stand alone in the midst of an evil age, and that the secret to accomplishing this is to establish a consistent pattern of daily walking with God.
Jonathan Isaac, power forward for the Orlando Magic, talks about his new book, “Why I Stand,” a powerful story of hope for free speech and an inspirational example of standing firm for your beliefs when the world tries to knock you down. He made headlines again for eloquently explaining his decision to exercise his personal medical freedom during the COVID-19 pandemic. Isaac also shares about overcoming mental health challenges and how his faith journey has strengthened him along the way.

Why is that?Distortion makes Truth the target for attack, and we are living in a world that normalizes distortion.Distortion aims to isolate Truth and suffocate it. In today's words...cancel it!Well, Truth cannot be canceled. Distortion will project its hate onto anyone who lives in Truth. You are framed as the hateful one, you are seen as the duck among the swans and you become persecuted and harassed...and it's not you!The Truth is, distortion is all about disconnecting, isolating, and setting others up to be humiliated.Truth stands alone, Truth is valiant, and Truth doesn't bend, distort or waver.Truth is who you want to align with.
