In this episode of the Live Better Sell Better Podcast, we have another throwback about video prospecting. This time we have KD's conversation with Katherine Caldwell on her best practices for video prospecting, how to get your video watched, and what to do if the prospect doesn't watch it. HIGHLIGHT QUOTESWhat platforms should I use to send my video? - Katherine: "I prefer to send videos on LinkedIn because you don't have to even mess with the link. They can just instantly hear the notification and watch it quickly. That being said, not everyone's prospects are on LinkedIn so email is a good tool. But you will want something like Vidyard or Loom to make sure you're not going to spam." This episode of the Live Better Seller Better Podcast features Katherine Caldwell, Founder of Katch Consulting. There are many misconceptions around video messaging and that's why it remains an underutilized tool in sales. Katherine shares her video prospecting best practices and dispels some myths on the dos and don't of video. She offers tips based on experience and shares nuggets of wisdom like where you shoot your video is less important than having welcoming body language and the overall professionalism you present. HIGHLIGHTSEnd it and send it: Don't overthink your video messageVideo best practices to get watched: Look professional and keep it shortBalance the amount of time on research—but more is better QUOTESThe visual details of video messaging are less important - Katherine: "I don't think it matters if you're wearing a hoodie, if you're in your kitchen, or your bedroom. I just think, in general, look somewhat professional. I mean, I guess you could say, you could look at it and say, would I watch video type of thing."The optimal length of a video message - Katherine: "I think 45 seconds is the sweet spot. I think everyone's pretty familiar with that. No one's going to watch more than 45 seconds and, when you send a clip, they can instantly see how long it is so they'll already determine if they're going to watch it from that." Start small and refine your video message - Katherine: "When you've really honed in on your message and you're not spending way too much time and you're being efficient with it, it really pays off. So what I would, if you're a sales manager, do not overcommit sales reps to sending 20, 30 videos in their first week of video prospecting." Synthetic media may sound like a suave, futuristic idea. But it is happening right now and the concept is a simple one. Synthetic media can be defined as creating videos, audio, and text content using AI or any other software tools. However intriguing synthetic media may seem, very few people understand the gravity of this technology and just how awesome and scary it can be. Joining us is the Chief Product Office and Co-Founder of Potion, Kanad Bahalkar. Potion is a synthetic media platform and, since its conception almost two years ago, it has undertaken to make synthetic media a more secure, safe, and efficient process for everybody involved. Their initial focus has been geared towards their sales staff, with the salespeople creating personalized videos to send out to potential customers. Much like many email tools, Potion uses a person's first name as personalization parameters, and its AI technology is able to create accurate lip syncs without having to record each video individually.

So you've done your part in creating content online and making your website come alive with videos to showcase your brand, services and product. But so far, the numbers have stalled, and there's no progress to your video engagements. Is there another way for you to attract prospects? Two words: Video Prospecting. Break through the noise with a video strategy that doesn't need to be entertaining or production-heavy, but is highly more enticing and helpful. In this episode, Chris Schwager (Co-founder and Video Marketer of Ridge Films) is joined by Chet Lovegren (Director of Sales Development at Pavillion, and the Host of The Sales RX Podcast) to discuss everything about video prospecting. Chet takes us back to his roots as a full-circle sales representative and how it shaped his expertise on cold calling, sales outreach and prospecting to now lead a team of Sales Development Representatives or SDR's, who perform inbound and outbound prospecting to generate leads. Chet gives insight on how he discovered the sales video's potential to get higher engagement and conversion rates, and how he's able to produce a sales playbook by his own learning process of creating an ideal outreach. Chet also sheds light on unresponsive subscriber behavior, maximising LinkedIn voicemails for prospecting, which platform best serves friction-based headlining, and optimising Timeboxing for proper cold calling. Video messaging has not moved very fast in terms of being normalized, despite the fact that it can dramatically improve communication throughout the entire CX and EX. There are three reasons why. I'm Ethan Beute, Chief Evangelist at BombBomb, host of The Customer Experience Podcast, and co-host of the CX Series on the B2B Growth Show. Listen in today to learn about why bad video prospecting has become an indictment on video prospecting overall — and the reasons why video prospecting can be so challenging. You certainly can be successful as an SDR with extensive product knowledge but it's not table stakes. Instead, the sellers that focus on understanding the buyer, the problems they're facing, and what makes them tick outperform solution-focused sellers any day of the week. This is the top observation from video prospecting guru + Vidyard VP Marketing, Tyler Lessard among others in this week's episode.
DTRH Episode 42 How to Sell More Using Video Prospecting Tools Ft. Collin Mitchell Video prospecting is proven to result in up to 400%+ in reply and engagement rates during outreach. Video is more customizable and adds a human touch. Personalized video content creates a higher impact on the viewer than emails/messages composed of arid text and still image content.
