As We Prepare for Advent, We Hear the Term in the Fullness of Time, God Sent His Son. What Does That Mean and Why Is It Important for Us? First Saturday celebration this December also marks the end of the liturgical year. Advent begins at sundown. Advent tends to take Catholics by surprise. As Catholics prepare for Lent, they have a plan as to what sacrifice they want to do. Advent falls normally right after Thanksgiving, or the week after, and it catches many Catholics by surprise. What are we to do for Advent? Hear more in the Homily. Advent also requires a game plan; we need to be prepared. It's not about what are the things we are going to do! What is the perspective of the heart and soul out of which we will be doing things for Advent. The readings help understand this more clearly. In the Fullness of Time, God Sent His Son What does fullness of time really mean? Why is that important to us now? Hear more within this Meditation Media.

During a Recent Mass for Special Needs, We Hear the Gospel of Jesus Calling Out a Name. Hear Why That Is Important to All of Us! In today's gathering, we begin with some opening remarks before delving into the Gospel, which recounts the story of a thirsty Mary Magdalene. It's intriguing how the Gospel sheds light on Mary's yearning heart and her intense thirst for Our Lord. Typically, we don't associate thirst with matters of the heart, and often, we don't take time to contemplate this concept, leaving us uncertain of its true significance. However, this Homily, specially tailored for attendees with Special Needs, aims to elucidate the profound meaning behind this idea and its relevance to all of us. Mary Magdalene serves as an inspiring example for each of us. On Easter morning, her heart longed so ardently for fulfillment that it couldn't find complete joy until she encountered Our Lord. She cherished the Lord deeply and persistently sought Him until she finally reunited with Him. She refused to settle for anything less. But why did she possess such unwavering devotion? The Homily delves into this question, revealing its wisdom. This story holds a valuable lesson for everyone—to discern in the depths of our hearts who and what is truly best for us. It urges us to recognize those who are genuinely good for us. Interestingly, even when Mary Magdalene saw Jesus, she initially didn't recognize Him. Why? Because as much as she loved the Lord, as much as we love the Lord, He transcends all expectations. He desires her to comprehend this truth and conveys it by calling her name. This aspect bears significance for each one of us, and the Homily elaborates on its importance. Let us grasp the essence of the Gospel: the profound significance when Jesus calls out a name. Discover why this holds importance for all of us. Listen to this Special Meditation Media. **************************************** Note to the listener of this Special Audio. The Homily revolves around the significance of Jesus addressing Mary Magdalene by her name, highlighting the personal nature of such interaction. It further explores how Jesus calls each of us by name, emphasizing the individual and intimate relationship with Him. After the Homily during the Mass, attendees were invited to inscribe the names of those in need of special prayers, including individuals with specific needs and their caregivers. Each attendee wrote these names on the back of a cross, and they were later recited aloud and attached to Our Lady. During the communal recitation of the Hail Mary, the act symbolizes Our Lady's recollection of the angel addressing her as “Hail Full of Grace.” As the community prays, Our Lady also joins in and intercedes for all the names offered to her, forwarding these prayers to God Our Father in Heaven. Although the reading of the names during the original Mass lasted nearly 30 minutes, only a condensed version of about 60 seconds is presented in this audio. As you participate in the prayer, you are encouraged to visualize Our Lady using the images on the web page. Feel free to add the names of your loved ones whom you wish to pray for virtually and then join the community in collective prayer to Our Lady and God. Steph had a very similar experience after her third child. Kiran talks about her experience of Burnout, which she describes as the worst thing she's gone through in her life, and left her with a loss of identity and hope. They discuss the dangers of labelling women ‘Superwomen' when they appear to juggle everything well, as they can then struggle to admit or recognise when they're not ok, and the increased expectations that can come from South Asian culture. Kiran and Steph also discuss the idea that ‘Motherhood isn't enough' and Kiran's statement ‘the biggest trial our marriage has ever faced is having children', how counselling has helped, and the power of vulnerability. If you need someone to talk to, contact Mind Kiran's Instagram The Munching Medic and her post from 10th Oct 2021 about mental health where she discusses the idea of ‘Superwoman' seeping in and defining her. We Hear a Collection of Clips and Phone Calls from Frank's Friends and colleagues. Beloved "Ball Park" Frank will be Missed He was a radio icon in Las Vegas. He was my colleague, my co-host and more importantly my friend. Not just to me but to everyone he came in contact with. Frank Harnish, aka "Ball Park" Frank died this past weekend from a battle with cancer. He was a staple on the Las Vegas airways for 30 years, being heard at all hours around the clock in various formats over the years, mostly at Lotus Broadcasting. The one constant for Frank was that he was there. No matter what time, what station or what event, he was as dependable and durable as they come. Sports talk listeners heard him rant, rave and be passionate about his favorite teams, which would be any team that resided in Chicago and THE Ohio State University. He was not only heard on my show but so many others during the past three decades that most everyone knew the name Ball Park Frank. In 2018, he received a new handle (VGK Frank) as he was the first radio host of the Vegas Golden Knights, broadcasting his daily show along with anchoring every pregame and postgame show of the first two plus seasons. Having never covered hockey before, he thrust himself into his role and performed flawlessly. He was well prepared each and every day and came across like a hockey aficionado and a consummate pro, which he was. Frank was in his groove when he was delivering his witty one-liners that could come from any direction or any given subject. His strength was his desire to attack anything and any challenge. Whether it was a debate, an assignment or just to be a contrarian, Frank would be Frank. I loved working with Frank because I knew what I was getting everyday: a true radio professional who could adapt to any situation and be well prepared no matter what the day would bring. Whether it was game day, an interview, a music show or one of the many spur-of-the-moment breaking news days, he was ready and delivered. He was more than just a radio personality; he was the best friend one can be. He refused to say no to anything you needed. He was generous, courteous and willing to do whatever you asked. Ball Park Frank was one of kind, a rare breed in our business and our society. One that I loved and will miss dearly. May he Rest In Peace and be remembered for the humble, humorous, dependable and compassionate friend a person could ever have.

Adam Renn Olenn | November 26, 2013 The members of R&B vocal quartet Ahmir were drawn to Boston by their respective colleges, including 2004 alumnus Mark Robertson, also known as Sing Sing, and they still call it home. Home, that is, when they’re not making one of the videos that have garnered over 75 million views and nearly 400,000 subscribers on YouTube. These four young men work hard, and their hard work is bearing fruit. Their single “Welcome to My Party” hit #3 on Billboard’s Hip-Hop/R&B single sales chart; they won Billboard’s “We Hear the Future” competition, BET’s 106 & Park competition for Best Group Performance, and advanced to the top 35 on the NBC television show America’s Got Talent. On May 20, 2013, Ahmir was the featured artist on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and is currently working on a single to be released in early 2014.
