Smiley helps companies attract, retain, and empower millennial talent through speaking on the topics like employee engagement and intergenerational collaboration. So, Adam is trying to change workforce mindsets and cultures by helping people think about how they can make young employees feel happy, engaged, purpose-driven, and focused on growth in the workplace. “Which I think is possible, but is definitely a little bit of a different paradigm than the traditional workforce engagement.” For more information, visit: http://Brandeis.edu Resources: Learn more at smileyposwolsky.com Read: The Quarter-Life Breakthrough: A Guide for Millennials to Find Meaningful Work by Adam Smiley Poswolsky Instagram: instagram.com/whatsupsmiley Twitter: twitter.com/whatsupsmiley From the Dorm Room to the Boardroom is a production of Crate Media

Jim DeCicco graduated Colgate University in 2015 and, just a few months later, teamed up with his two younger brothers to create the world’s first Super Coffee. Since then, Jim and his brothers have grown Kitu Life Inc. tremendously, raising $18 million in venture capital and getting the opportunity to pitch on ABC’s Shark Tank (where they received an offer but, ultimately, turned it down). Kitu Life now has 20 full-time employees, and Jim’s role with the company has changed dramatically. Now CEO, he has transitioned from working in the company to working on the company; from making deliveries, stocking shelves, and sending invoices to leading a team of people who can do all of that even better.
