Porn addiction has quickly become an epidemic in the US, especially among teenaged and young adult men. But how dangerous is it? Can it really rewire the brain, and can the taboo themes in much of modern pornography damage men's ability to function emotionally and physically? Ben from Tantra Punk and Dr. Tiffany Graham join Tatiana & Lauren for the latest in Proof of Love's series on men's sexual health. Learn how to identify the symptoms of addiction, how long it takes to overcome it, and how to use erotic material as a way to learn to please your partner rather for base gratification. About the Guests: Even though she is not a native of Colorado Springs, Dr. Graham has always felt like this is home. Growing up across the country, summers were spent visiting family in Colorado Springs and adventuring in the nearby mountains. That is why, when the opportunity to move here and open up a practice in 2013 presented itself, she jumped on it immediately. Dr. Graham’s journey and commitment to health started as a young athlete. Her commitment to pursuing excellence eventually led her to accept a scholarship and play collegiate volleyball at Minnesota State, Mankato. In 2005/6 she was awarded with All-Region honors and even Minnesota State’s “Top Female Athlete of the Year”. Following college, she accepted an offer to play volleyball professionally in Spain for 2006-07. Her passion for athletics eventually turned into a passion for health and a calling to help people live to their God-given potential. Chiropractic became the obvious choice to live out that calling, as she had been adjusted regularly since 5 years old, experiencing the benefits of having a healthy spine and nervous system, recovering quickly from injuries and sickness. She hopes to lead families, especially women, to lead and enjoy healthier lives through chiropractic and addressing the three T’s (trauma, toxins, and thoughts). ••• Ben Tantra Punk is a Los Angeles based sex worker, feminist porn producer/performer, permaculture designer, tantric counselor, author, filmmaker, podcast host and recording artist. Dr. Tiffany Graham of Springs Integrated Health rejoins the program for a special simulcast episode with her new podcast, The Climax w/Dr. Tiff! She and Tatiana talk about dating under lockdown and why swiping apps have been unsatisfying. They discuss masculinity and what level of it is appropriate, as well as how much political beliefs should play a factor in relationships. Learn all about trauma bonding, why the goal of anything you do shouldn’t be the climax, and what the stars have in store for you in 2021! About the Guest:Even though she is not a native of Colorado Springs, Dr. She hopes to lead families, especially women, to lead and enjoy healthier lives through chiropractic and addressing the three T’s (trauma, toxins, and thoughts).Do you have a burning question, or a show idea for us? Proof of Love takes another streaming deep dive, this time checking out YouTube Originals' “This is Paris,” an examination of the life and background of heiress, socialite, reality TV star & entrepreneur Paris Hilton. The documentary takes a hard look at one of the original “famous for being famous” media sensations, detailing her history with her family, her infamous sex tape, and how she leveraged it into superstardom while also battling anxiety and depression. Tatiana & Lauren take an in-depth look at the film and give their thoughts on many of the revelations presented, including Paris’ traumatic experience at a “boarding school” meant to fix her teen rebelliousness, her relationship with her strict parents, why she developed her “party girl,” ditzy image and why it isn’t who she really is, and why even after all her current, self-made success she still seems like a person with deep issues. And Lauren even shares an anecdote about her own encounter with Paris before she shot to fame Check out the documentary: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOg0TY1jG3w Do you have a burning question, or a show idea for us? The “Silicon Valley Therapist”, Howard Scott Warshaw joined Tatiana and Lauren for a deep conversation about the ins and outs of psychotherapy, the psychological conditions of tech people, and how these crazy quarantine times are affecting all of us. Howard started out as a programmer, but after a wildly successful career in the video games industry, he started looking for something else. After trying his hand at art and filmmaking (also with spectacular results), he found psychotherapy as the perfect way to integrate all his skills and better help the people he used to entertain. He shared how it is possible to conduct sessions on Zoom, how he reconciles the brainy and the emotional aspects of himself and his clients, and all the right (and wrong) reasons for starting therapy. Tatiana then geared the conversation towards love and relationships, specifically among tech professionals. Turns out there are a number of common problems that these people face due to often being socially excluded in their early years. However successful they become as the new ruling class, they keep questioning their self-worth and have trouble connecting with people. Lauren was then wondering how COVID-19 is affecting people psychologically, which is something Howard had a lot to say about! The difficulty of creating connections drains everyone, but basic human emotions are not going to change. The trio ended the discussion by exploring why conspiracy theories are rampant today, and what possible solutions there could be to recreate the connections we feel are lost. About the Guest:Artist, technologist, creator and healer, Howard Scott Warshaw is first and foremost a communicator. Holding master's degrees in Counseling Psychology and Computer Engineering, his career accomplishments include Video Game pioneer, MoMA artist, celebrated software developer, award winning film producer, author, educator and columnist. These days Howard enlists his eclectic skill set in the service of others as a psychotherapist in California's Silicon Valley, where he specializes in the issues of hi-tech leaders and the super-intelligent. He loves exploring fresh perspectives as well as cultivating new talents and finding creative ways to apply them. Howard is a complex person who can be summed up in five words: Passion with a Balanced Perspective.Do you have a burning question, or a show idea for us? NOTICE: This episode contains explicit and frank discussions that may not be suitable for all audiences. Listener discretion is strongly advised. Kink is a diverse, interesting and playful world. Heather "NookieNotes" Claus (or just "Nookie" to her friends) acts as a guide to Tatiana and Lauren as they discuss different types of kink from bondage to 50’s household, the role of dominance in a relationship, and how a newbie can safely dip their toes into the kink universe. Nookie shares her journey into the kink world. Her 25-year experience included many different types of play and taught her what her preferences are. However, she strongly believes that there is no "one true way" of kink. There is a huge spectrum in the kink community, both in the type of their kinks and fetishes and how deeply they get into the lifestyle. Most people are living relatively "normal" lives and only attend kinky events from time to time, others are living it full time. The ladies agreed about how real life is always very different from porn, and one should not draw conclusions about kinks from adult movies either. NookieNotes believes that there is no "taking it too far" with kinks, as long as everything happens consensually and it does not prevent you from functioning in your life. Nookie's newest project, DatingKinky.com is a dating site built for people interested in the BDSM lifestyle. While it might be awkward to post kinky preferences on other dating sites, this site was created as a free resource to meet people with similar interests, but also for newbies to learn about the kink world. They host free webinars on different aspects of the lifestyle regularly, and feature lots of great reading material as well. The subject of ethical non-monogamy was also brought up. Polyamory is something Tatiana spoke up against before, as she fears insecure women might be bullied into setups that are not serving them. Setting personal boundaries are a huge part of the kink community, and Nookie thinks it would benefit people in general to be taught to make choices and to be aware of their own boundaries. In the last part of the episode, NookieNotes shared tons of resources for those interested in the kink community: meetups, Facebook groups, festivals are a safe first encounter with kink. Especially in COVID times, there are tons of online opportunities for the curious. About the Guest:NookieNotes is a lifestyle dominant who enjoys discussing, researching, practicing and writing about love, sex, romance, and kink. She has been featured in Kink Weekly, Darkside Magazine, OffTheCuffs Podcast, Bustle, and more. She travels around the country and internationally, and also keeps herself busy building and growing her site DatingKinky.com, it's kinky done differently! Reason senior editor Elizabeth Nolan Brown has done extensive research and coverage on the topic of sex work and joins us in this episode to talk about it from a liberty-minded perspective. She also takes the time to define sex work vs. sex trafficking and explains how authoritarians use the latter term to punish and harm people who engage in sex work without coercion. She also details how inaccurate studies have led to paranoia about child sex trafficking. There’s conversation about how radical feminism colluded with social conservatives to blur the definitions between consensual prostitution and sex trafficking, how criminalization of sex work protects rapists & abusers, whether there’s such a thing as “safe” sex work, as well as the rise of webcamming and web galleries as a way for sex workers to avoid exploitation. There’s talk about the recent Wayfair “scandal,” as well as the “happy ending” massage parlor phenomenon and how it has become the #1 way for law enforcement to make themselves look like they are effectively fighting trafficking. You can’t miss this incredibly compelling episode of Proof Of Love!About the Guest:Elizabeth Nolan Brown is a senior editor at Reason, where she writes regularly on the intersections of sex, speech, tech, crime, politics, panic, and civil liberties, and president ofthe libertarian feminist group Feminists for Liberty. Tatiana & Laren are joined by Dr. Tiffany Graham to help listeners gain an understanding of holistic wellness and how her practices approach to healthcare incorporates the best parts of traditional medicine with those of natural medicine and chiropractic care. The trio touch on topics ranging from the impact of hormones and eating habits on fertility to increasing food sensitivities in the world today to antibodies and how vaccines work. Did you know there is no single hormone responsible for estrogen levels? Or that estrogen levels impact how your body handles fat cells? Listen to the entire episode to hear why plant-based meat replacements such as Beyond Meat may not be good for everyone, how the growing number of additives in food today can do damage to your gut lining, and what Dr. Graham thinks about efforts to develop a COVID-19 vaccine. Don’t worry, guys, the ladies plan to have Dr. Graham back for a future episode of Proof of Love to cover more on men’s health! About the Guest:Even though she is not a native of Colorado Springs, Dr. She hopes to lead families, especially women, to lead and enjoy healthier lives through chiropractic and addressing the three T’s (trauma, toxins, and thoughts).Do you have a burning question, or a show idea for us? Tatiana and Lauren devote this episode of Proof of Love to catching up and discussing Tatiana’s upcoming travels to California, dating during COVID-19, dating apps, and finding true love. Finally escaping from the coronavirus lockdowns, Tatiana is traveling from coast to coast, in part to support her joint project with Alyze Sam: #ProofofGratitude. Tatiana and Lauren discuss life after lockdown in California and the dating scene, leading to Tatiana’s surprise over the policies of “content” site, Only Fans. “Billed as a site for exclusive content for subscribers, a way to “make money and interact with your fans!”, many have come to the conclusion that Tatiana reaches: that it is a modern, digital twist on the “Sugar Daddy ( or Mama) relationship. And the elite iOS dating app, Raya, with its elaborate application process and “utopian” vision, offers Tatiana a little facetious fun. Lauren shares her experiences with learning about her relationship wants from her parents’ example and from relationships gone wrong, and reminds that all you probably really need to do to find love is to be open to it. Tatiana and Lauren venture into a great discussion about what true love is, the stumbling blocks to falling into it, and if self-improvement can help get you in the right place at the right time ( or wrong place at the wrong time) to find love. Living in gratitude is being aware and appreciative of what we have and the world around us. While the world is more connected than ever, it is also sicker than ever: We use our connectivity to lament about our sick economies, our sick policies, and our sick relationships. What if we connected over love, giving, and gratitude, instead? What if we saw our way over and around roadblocks to solutions and what if we saw what we all have to be grateful for and what we have in common, rather than what divides us, each day? Hospice nurse, author, and entrepreneur Alyze Sam joins Tatiana and Lauren on Proof of Love to share her journey from life-shattering injury, illness, and loss to a life lived full of love and gratitude. Her inspiring story of saving her own life by turning her daily suffering into daily gratitude and all that led to is one that everyone should hear. Alyze, Tatiana, and Lauren share their “coming to gratitude” processes and daily habits, how living with gratitude can help during the current COVID-19 crisis, along with Tatiana and Alyze’s latest project, Proof of Gratitude, in hopes of helping others connect over what is precious in life. Alyze also shares how she got into blockchain and crypto while stuck in bed recovering from multiple major surgeries and her wonderful insight as to how to inspire more women to pursue interests and careers in STEM fields and her passion about being a mother and about providing education, security and tons of love for children. Chuck and Melina Williams have a pretty fascinating falling-in-love and staying-in-love story to tell. Tatiana and Lauren get a real treat in learning how Chuck and Melina almost didn’t meet, how they finally wound up together, and how they made a conscious choice to grow together and tackle some serious problems early in their relationship and marriage. When was the last time you heard a love story that started online, included a medicine circle made of crystals, was confronted head on by a chronic illness, found its way to the Amazon, and came out the other side helping others to heal?Settle in and hear how Chuck and Melina opened their minds and dove into learning experiences ranging from recognizing each other’s love languages to vows based on the 7 Hermetic Principles, and an exploration of the healing properties of Ayahuasca and Kuṇḍalinī, the discovery of the “Medical Medium,” all leading up to helping others through intuitive health coaching. You’re going to want to take notes! About the Guests:Melina has always had a tendency to ask questions and seek the Truth outside of the conventional ways. Though she spent a period of her life attempting to assimilate “normal”, she eventually ended up on the path of the Seeker and Healer. Seven years ago, a Buddhist practice inspired Melina to leave her corporate career and explore her inner and outer worlds. She became more intrigued by nature and natural lifestyles and remedies. Whether she was attending or managing meditation retreats, visiting sacred sites in India, working in natural foods stores, gardening with Community Supported Agriculture, or attending school for Natural Medicine - Melina was gathering various sources and experiences to begin her own wholistic healing journey. After several years on that path, Melina found herself in the midst of a spontaneous Kundalini Awakening via Ayahuasca. Though this process was complex and traumatic, it helped initiate her into the Healing Arts. She was mentored and supported by various types of healers along the way. From them and her own inner guidance, she has gathered a multitude of tools and insights - tools she knew would be invaluable to those going through something similar. Though there has been deep gratitude for the countless invaluable lessons, the stress Melina’s body endured from the awakening crisis caused debilitating chronic illness that she endured for several years. Thankfully, after two years dedicated to the Medical Medium lifestyle, she healed her chronic illness. Melina now helps others heal by empowering them to be their own healer. Using foods as medicine as a foundation to wholeness and wellness, she helps clients get to the root of illness rather than continuing to treat symptoms. www.TheDivineisWithinCoaching.com Melina’s Kundalini journey also inspired her to create the Kundalini Support Network. This network was designed to help support those in the midst of their own Kundalini or Spiritual crisis. The site offers self-care tools along with a practitioner directory for those looking for one-on-one help. www.KundaliniSupportNetwork.org Melina’s life is now full, joyful, purposeful, and connected. She feels strong and well with consistency and is able to enjoy life with her incredible, devoted husband, Chuck. Every step of her healing journey, she has known that it was all to eventually support and guide others on their healing path. It is her hope that the lessons learned from her own suffering can help prevent some amount of suffering for others and bring them comfort, reassurance, and ultimately healing. Proof of Love hosts Tatiana and Lauren explore how the COVID-19 lockdowns have changed courting and dating. Tatiana candidly shares her personal dating experiences (kind of) during the coronavirus quarantines and her revelations about her own expectations and some new rules she has made for herself. Lauren shares reminders things are kind of crazy right now and that what is right is what is right and safe for you right now.Tatiana brings up a satirical scene dealing with consent in the popular new Amazon series, “Upload,” and wonders if we are on our way to such formal dating requirements. ( Probably not, but it’s pretty hilarious to see acted out on screen.) Is going Dutch expected? Is it old fashioned to expect a guy to be a gentleman these days? Does video dating count as dating? Are women being taught things that make dating harder and less fulfilling? Is quarantine keeping some people together just so that they can have a warm body during lockdown?Tune in and let us know on Twitter or Facebook what your dating situation is like during the lockdowns Do you have a burning question, or a show idea for us?
