The House Settlement was approved by a California judge Friday. In a nutshell: We now have direct payments from schools to players. What is next and winners and losers. Do you believe The Alabama Crimson Tide tried to lure SMU Mustangs QB Kevin Jennings into the Transfer Portal to take over for outgoing Alabama Football QB Jalen Milroe? One reporter says it is so. Are there current college football head coaches that should use the Chip Kelly method and give up on the head coaching job to become a top coordinator? Our Champions Boxing 40-in-40 stays in the SEC with the Tennessee Volunteers at #22. Few teams had a more public offseason in the transfer portal than Tennessee Football. How will the reset at quarterback impact the Vols? Is this the biggest opportunity for Josh Heupel to solidify himself as a top ten coach? Just how valuable are the College Football Playoffs to ESPN? The NBA Finals evened up last night with the Oklahoma City Thunder keeping the Indiana Pacers at arms length in the 123-107 win. No comeback this time for the Pacers and the teams head to Indy for Game 3 Wednesday Night at 7:30 on ABC. The win in Game Two continues an impressive run for the Thunder over the Eastern Conference. The SEC will end up with two teams that advance to Omaha. The Arkansas Razorbacks swept the Tennessee Volunteers to advance and the LSU Tigers destroyed West Virginia to punch their ticket. The Auburn Tigers were swept by The Costal Carolina Chanticleers in front of record Plainsman Park crowds. What had been an historic Auburn Baseball season comes to a very disappointing close. The Atlanta Braves are now losers of seven straight games prompting plenty of calls for the job of Brian Snitker, is that just a matter of time?Visit the TNR store: https://nextround.store/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Both the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Auburn Tigers got great basketball news Wednesday. Auburn Basketball star Tahaad Pettiford officially removed his name from the NBA Draft around 2:00, just hours before the deadline. He will come back to Bruce Pearl’s rebuilt Auburn squad. Alabama’s Labaron Philon surprised many with his 11th hour announcement that he was leaving the NBA Draft and returning to Tuscaloosa for another season. Nate Oats has rebuilt his roster, as well, and Philon is a massive final piece. As Pettiford returns to Auburn, is he a no doubt All-SEC player? Can he work his way into the Draft Lottery? How shocking was the Philon return? Can Alabama win the SEC with this roster? The SEC Meetings are winding down in Destin. Alabama Crimson Tide coach Kalen DeBoer, Georgia Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart and Ole Miss Rebels coach Lane Kiffin all spoke out about the College Football Playoffs, as did SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey. What the Alabama Football, Georgia Football and Ole Miss Football coaches had to say about the system and what irritates the Commish. The SEC coaches want to play the Big Ten annually, several speak out at the SEC Meetings. What would that do for schedules like the South Carolina Gamecocks who already have and ACC team as a rival? Also, Georgia Football coach Kirby Smart lets us behind the curtain on what is the latest tactic among college football programs in recruiting and what it takes to get a commit. Our Champions Boxing 40-in-40 hits number 29 with Big 12 team the TCU Horned Frogs. Will TCU Football be more 2023 or 2024? Just how good can the Frogs be? The SEC Meetings continue in Destin. Alabama Crimson Tide coach Kalen DeBoer, Georgia Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart and Ole Miss Rebels coach Lane Kiffin all hit the podium yesterday. What the Alabama Football, Georgia Football and Ole Miss Football coaches had to say. Also, Outkick college football writer Trey Wallace joins the show from Destin. What are the biggest concerns for the coaches at these meetings? We will try to sum them up. The latest proposed college football playoff model is the “5-11 Model” why this may be the one we settle on. SEC ADs want a version of the BCS Model and dump the committee. On3’s Andy Staples has a playoff projection using the straight seeding model. Is it fair to judge Penn State Nittany Lions head coach James Franklin based on the outcome of this season? The Penn State Football coach is more under the microscope than ever. Alabama Crimson Tide Athletics are in rare company with the combined 2024-25 success of Alabama Football, Alabama Basketball and Alabama Baseball. Should Auburn Tigers head Coach Bruce Pearl really run for Untied Senate? The Auburn Basketball coach apparently has some interest. A great suggestion for a fabulous reality show hosted by former Alabama Football coach Nick Saban. Our Champions Boxing 40-in-40 reaches the Top 30 with Big Ten team the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Recorded: May 23rd, 2025 Will Compton and Taylor Lewan hope everyone had a Happy Memorial Day Weekend. To help end it on a high note, they invited Tennessee Titans left guard JC Latham on the bus! Will and Taylor kick things off by addressing Theo Von's kind words about Bussin' with Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson. They also react to Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce's smack talking for the Nebraska vs Cincinnati game, which leads The Boys to break down the new College Football Playoff format, the return of the infamous “Tush Push,” and a sneak peek at the upcoming Dad Combine. Plus, they introduce their new interns, preview this year’s Father’s Day merch drop, and react to New Heights throwing some shade. Then Will and Taylor dive into a monster sit-down with Titans first-round pick JC Latham. From his early days at IMG and choosing Alabama, to raw stories from Kalen DeBoer’s Bama locker room, JC opens up about being part of the first year of NIL, adapting to the NFL, and what it’s really like working with legendary offensive line coach Bill Callahan. He talks about playing against Will Anderson Jr., the transition from left tackle to right tackle, and even responds to rumors about his 40-yard dash time. The guys also hit on Titans’ struggles, Will Levis’ development, expectations for Cam Ward, and how the NFL culture compares to college football. As always, things get weird in the best way—bio hacking, fan questions, and a Bud Light “What Would You Do Anything For?” moment all make an appearance.
