Sam's exclusive report in 2014 also revealed the FA's failure to deliver promised research into the link between heading footballs and dementia following the death of a former England player In his 2023 book, ‘Concussed: Sport's Uncomfortable Truth', winner of the Best Sports Writing Award, Sam recounts the untold story of the most influential sports campaign in British newspaper history, asking how rugby and other sports can save themselves from the vested interests which threaten not just players' livelihoods but the very existence of the sports themselves. Tua got another concussion last night in the Dolphins loss to the Bills. Boomer said he has to slide and not go head first into defenders. Some people think his career is over, but Boomer thinks he'll be back this year as there's too much money on the table. Meanwhile, Mike White is on the other sideline with the Bills this year. Before the injury, Frank The Tank called Tua ‘the Hawaiian Daniel Jones', which wasn't fair. He's a very accurate passer. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of last night's Bills win in Miami. Mike McDaniel was asked if Tua should keep playing. Juan Soto had a walk off single in the 10th for the Yankees win. The Twins cut a minor league catcher because he was tipping pitches so the season would end so they wouldn't have to go to the playoffs. In the final segment of the hour, Gio was on a show in Nashville called JB and The General.
