Pour ce nouvel épisode, j'ai eu le plaisir de recevoir David Ferreira à mon micro. David est un artiste peintre talentueux, autodidacte, qui se prédestinait pourtant à une carrière de géomètre qu'il n'avait pas réellement choisie. Né en France le 15 octobre 1982 à 5h15, c'est un enfant plutôt discret et travailleur qui grandit dans une famille dont l'histoire a commencé près de Viseu et Porto mais dont le destin les a transportés jusqu'à Pau ! Une grand-mère courageuse arrivée en France avec 7 enfants et très intégrée dans son quartier de Pau, un père charpentier aux mains d'artiste et exigeant, une mère passionnée de peinture et de céramique. Autour de lui, et sans s'en rendre compte, David baigne déjà dans un univers créatif d'adultes très charismatiques.Pas facile de s'affirmer, surtout quand on lui rappelle son étiquette de “portugais” lorsqu'un choix de carrière doit se dessiner. Ce sera alors dans le bâtiment qu'il débutera son histoire professionnelle. La suite, je vous laisse la découvrir à travers son récit ! Le lien de David avec le Portugal est au-delà de la langue ou des souvenirs d'enfants. Il se retrouve dans l'explosion de couleurs de ses œuvres, dans son amour de recevoir, son goût du voyage et de l'inspiration d'ailleurs. After hearing that Bonefrog's event season was going to wrap up after their Charlemont, MA and Stanhope, NJ events this year Mike blocked off the weekend for the New Jersey event and registered for the golden trident course! Bonefrog has been around for a while and offers a unique military feel to their course and festival area that other races do not. However, due to low registration numbers (which most OCRs are currently dealing with) and high prices to put on events (which everyone is dealing with), they announced that they will be pausing their events until things go back to normal. Originally Katelyn was supposed to cover the event as media as Mike ran 3 laps of the course to earn his trident medal but she was needed as a last minute volunteer at bag check.  Due to this, all interviews were done after Mike had been thrashed on the course by the 60 obstacles in 9 miles. Chegamos ao último episódio da nossa mini série “Os três pilares da vida”, em parceria com a nossa querida Mafalda Ramos, terapeuta ayurvédica e tanto mais. Este episódio é guiado por todos os que deixaram as suas dúvidas e, por isso, queremos deixar um obrigada enorme pela participação activa e curiosidade nesta medicina milenar. Drawing from their significant expertise in international development in various functions, this panel discusses the multifaceted approaches needed to improve the lives of the poorest and most vulnerable populations. Their combined experiences range from journalism and campaigning for access to education, to managing funds and policies to improve access to vaccination and reduce the burden of infectious diseases.

Episode 20 of "There's Still Time", the AFTN podcast, is another of our popular roundtables. Recorded in two parts, this the second part, the first of which was published as Episode 19 last week. My usual co-host Steve and myself are joined by Zachary Meisenhamer from Curva Collective, long time fan Steven Lamothe and AFTN writer Jay Duke to a lot of Caps and MLS talking points. After looking at the state of the Whitecaps nation last episode, our five man team try and look at where things have gone wrong this season. We turn our attentions to Martin Rennie, what he brings to the Caps and the future of the gaffer and the Whitecaps, this season and beyond. Is he responsible for the Whitecaps' poor recent form or do the players have to shoulder a lot of the responsibility? If Rennie is to be replaced, who are the main candidates out there to take over and will any changes go further up the managerial chain? And there's still time to chat about transparency in MLS, or lack of. So many questions! There's some answers but there's also a lot more debated in amongst it all too, including Bobby Lenarduzzi being compared to your local corner store, David Ferreira to sticking a straw into a cow's neck and what magical shoe purchases can be made with allocation money.

Terry Dunfield propels himself five feet off the ground to block a David Ferreira attempt and preserve yet another away draw for Toronto FC. Yet again TFC concede an early goal through sloppy marking, but Danny Koevermans can do no wrong and continues to keep the team competitive. Even though the score was locked down in the first half, it was an entertaining match where the Reds could have stolen all three points had they dug deep enough. In the midst of a tough grind, a point is still a good result when looking at it one match at a time. Still sitting at the bottom of MLS, Toronto will now look ahead to Philadelphia on Sunday afternoon to get out of the basement.
