California keeps adding regulations that give the state government more control, takes power away from small communities, and will make your life far more expensive. That's what good communists do. And, the Bible has always warned us to beware and shun false prophets. Rahab in Job 9 is identified as “the Boaster” or“Arrogant One”: Satan, the dragon pierced by Yahweh. Rahab also symbolizesrebellious people who trust worldly strength, while Babylon represents spiritual captivity; both contrast with Zion and its faithful inhabitants. The“helpers of Rahab” are demonic powers, including the Beast and False Prophet, destined to crouch beneath Christ. Job then admits that innocence cannotjustify him or alter God's purposes; he can only plead for mercy. 2 Peter 2    1But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. 2And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.    4For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment; 5if he did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a herald of righteousness, with seven others, when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6if by turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes he condemned them to extinction, making them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; 7and if he rescued righteous Lot, greatly distressed by the sensual conduct of the wicked 8(for as that righteous man lived among them day after day, he was tormenting his righteous soul over their lawless deeds that he saw and heard); 9then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment, 10and especially those who indulge in the lust of defiling passion and despise authority.    Bold and willful, they do not tremble as they blaspheme the glorious ones, 11whereas angels, though greater in might and power, do not pronounce a blasphemous judgment against them before the Lord. 12But these, like irrational animals, creatures of instinct, born to be caught and destroyed, blaspheming about matters of which they are ignorant, will also be destroyed in their destruction, 13suffering wrong as the wage for their wrongdoing. They count it pleasure to revel in the daytime. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions, while they feast with you. 14They have eyes full of adultery, insatiable for sin. They entice unsteady souls. They have hearts trained in greed. Accursed children! 15Forsaking the right way, they have gone astray. They have followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved gain from wrongdoing, 16but was rebuked for his own transgression; a speechless donkey spoke with human voice and restrained the prophet's madness.    17These are waterless springs and mists driven by a storm. For them the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved. 18For, speaking loud boasts of folly, they entice by sensual passions of the flesh those who are barely escaping from those who live in error. 19They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved. 20For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. 21For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them. 22What the true proverb says has happened to them: “The dog returns to its own vomit, and the sow, after washing herself, returns to wallow in the mire.”

God Is Shaking His Church: Judgment, Restoration & the Return to Biblical Foundations | KIB 546 Kingdom Intelligence Briefing DESCRIPTION Is the shaking in the Church merely destruction—or could God be using judgment to prepare His people for restoration? In KIB 546, Dr. Michael Lake and Mary Lou Lake examine a powerful biblical pattern: when God's covenant people depart from His established foundations, judgment can become an instrument of restoration. Scripture repeatedly reveals a progression: ·      God establishes His order. ·      Mixture and compromise enter. ·      Prophetic warnings are given. ·      Repentance is resisted. ·      Judgment exposes and removes what is false. ·      A faithful remnant returns to covenant. ·      God restores upon the foundation He originally established. From the Babylonian exile and the rebuilding described in Ezra, to Jeremiah, Haggai, Josiah, Hebrews, Revelation, and the New Testament Church, the pattern remains remarkably consistent. Judgment does not necessarily mean that God has abandoned His people. His discipline can demonstrate precisely the opposite. Hebrews 12:6 teaches that the Lord disciplines those whom He loves. Dr. Lake explains why God may have to dismantle spiritual corruption, false doctrine, religious entertainment, prosperity thinking, celebrity culture, pagan mixture, and man-made traditions before genuine restoration can occur. The question for the remnant is not simply:  "God, will You revive what we have built?" A more important prayer may be:  "Father, remove everything we have built that prevents us from becoming what You intended." This episode examines the biblical sequence of judgment, remembrance, repentance, return, obedience, holiness, and restoration—and why understanding that process may be critical for the days ahead. God is not calling His people to invent another Christianity. He is calling His people back to the foundation. ·      Christ has not moved. ·      The Word has not changed. ·      The Kingdom cannot be shaken. The shaking reveals what God never built, so what He established can be seen clearly again. The remnant must return to Christ, biblical authority, holiness, obedience, covenant faithfulness, prayer, sound doctrine, the fear of the Lord, and the Holy Spirit's leadership. Acts 13:6-11 - is the story of the blinding of the false prophet. Paul uses tough words against the false prophet with the intent to heal, not destroy.   Who else do we know was blinded?  Paul himself had been blinded by the Lord in order that he would then see the truth of who Jesus is.   At the root of this event of blindness on the false prophet is God's same desire - to use it to bring the false prophet to see the truth of who Jesus is.    Bar-Jesus the false prophet was an attendant to the proconsul Sergius Paulus, and as the proconsul witnessed the blinding of his attendant and heard the teaching about the Jesus, he came to faith in Christ.   Then Paul and Barnabas head to Pisidian Antioch. Pastor shares a very interesting discovery found near Pisidian Antioch. A Family Estate Marker engraved with the name "Sergius Paulus."  Pastor, with holy speculation, wonders whether it may have been the proconsul along with the Holy Spirit who instigated Paul and Barnabas' trip to Pisidian Antioch based on the proconsul's desire for his family to hear the Gospel message!   Now What? Deceit has its strength in masquerading as the truth. False prophets speak a vision of their own heart, not from the mouth of the Lord (Jer. 23:16–29). They deny the judgment of the Lord, speaking peace to the unrepentant, when in truth there is condemnation and wrath. “You will recognize them by their fruits” (Matt. 7:20). Groups can attract those who are searching, those who are curious, those who are seekers. Unfortunately not all groups are ethical and some even morph into cults. The abuse can be severe with everything from sexual and physical to extreme mental and emotional abuse and almost always financial. Can you give your time, energy, money to something you believe in? if you are of adult age then of course. But when you are born and raised into a thought system that feels counter intuitive to your own body, mind, spirit thats when things get complicated. A small group of people were able to be swayed by a not that smart shyster who convinced grown adults much smarter than him to turn over their wives, daughters and money to him as he proclaimed he was the new prophet of the FLDS church. "Trust Me," is an amalgam of some home videos that were shot by a couple who were trying to save a group of women and girls from being under the spell of a ridiculous narcissist who had never done anything with his own life. The rest of the footage and editing was done by a documentary film crew and while it leaves much to be desired it is a fascinating look into a world few of us have been a part of or can even imagine.
