In this episode, we have special guest Belgian Musical Artist Roselien.About Roselien:Roselien's new EP ‘Seventh Ascension' is a reflection of her time in London. She moved from Brussels to London to pursue a career in music but initially had to work as a kitchen designer for Ikea and hand out flyers for a living. On ‘Seventh Ascension' Roselien creates a universe of her own by using drum samples of Dr. Dre and Timbaland, a Roland JX3P synthesizer, and Ableton. Her emotions and struggle are expressed in the four songs she produced herself and she played every instrument you can hear on the EP.She has opened for artists such as Meshell Ndegeocello, Gregory Porter, The Jones Girls, Bilal and Gabriel Garzon Montano. She performed in venues in London such as The Jazz Cafe, Rich Mix, LayLow, Kansas Smitty's, The Lexington, and Piano Smithfield's as well as venues in Belgium such as Ancienne Belgique, Le Botanique, Reflektor in Liège and venues in Rotterdam such as Bird and Lantarenvenster. Her latest release 'Loving' got premiered by Erica McKoy on Worldwide Fm and remixed by Kaidi Tatham#belgianmusic #neosoul #musicalartist #furyus #deeperthanmusic #bilal #londonmusic #meschellNdegeocello #gregoryporter #thejonesgirls #bilal #ericamckoy #worldwidefm #kaiditatham
The South got something to say". This week, Kezo and Quan tackle recycled music and themes in American media and globally. Kezo gets into the best songs he's heard this week "Loyal" x Twelve'len and "Someone/Aguita" x Gabriel Garzon-Montano(19:01). Gunna drops WUNNA (and drops the ball in the process) (20:00). Go Crazy" x Chris Brown is the song of the summer (24:00). Kezo really wasn't feeling the Kota the Friend project.. the guys get into it for a while (32:00). The boys get into black music's use in games and other media (47:45). The guys get into a discussion about how film, culture and music interact when trying to please broader audiences or not trying to do that at all(1:00:00). The music chat starts with Khelani's new album "It was good until it wasn't" and Kiana Lede's "KIKI"(1:09:34). A bit of gaming chat starts off with The Last of Us 1 briefly and right into some Apex Legends updates (1:17:30). Quan kicks off the anime talk(1:31:20). There are some...interesting themes in anime, and the guys discuss how that relates to different audiences( 1:43:00). The guys do their due diligence to defend dubs over subs again (1:50:17). Kezo talks a little "Vinland Saga" (1:56:00). Who are your favorite anime heroes(2:14:45)? The boys ramble about other shows they've seen (2:49:30).

ANML has a great story to tell. On the cusp of releasing her new EP, Release!, she shares some lessons she’s learned getting to this point. Although it’s still pretty early in her career, she’s already gone through a major pivot, changing both her stage name and her musical style. Pretty major lesson for us all that when plan A isn’t working as well as it could, switch quickly to plan B. That, and learn when to be patient and when to be, well, not patient. When he was on tour, he got a call that his track “6 8” will be sample on Drake's mixtape If You're Reading This, it's Too Late. Since then his career took off, and he's been on tour with indie-rock artists like Glass Animals and Mayer Hawthorne. In this interview he talks about the three CD's he bought from a dollar bin that changed his life, the difficulties that come with songwriting, and how crying helped him get through his lowest moment. Each and every Wednesday we'll be uploading a brand new interview with a guest we feel that you should know about. This week’s guest is Gabriel Garzon-Montano. In this episode you will find snippets of music from Prince, Omar, and more. And the EDM.com Track of the Week is Elenne - King of Thebes https://soundcloud.com/edm/el-nne-king-of-thebes-edm-com. If you're just hearing the name Gabriel Garzón-Montano for the first time, you are late to the game. He's already done Rebel Red Bull Sound Select Artist, with Lenny Kravitz, and recently had his song “68" sampled by Drake on “Jungle." We got to sit down with him just after he killed at the Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles. We speak on early influences including his vocalist mother and legendary artist, Prince, and what it was like going from playing in front of 200 people to going on tour with Kravitz. He also tells us why he will never sell out his own values just to be culturally relevant. Hit play and peep game.
