Doch der eigentliche Überwachungsstaat entsteht längst woanders, im Schatten der Einkaufszentren, Versicherungsportale und Kundendatenbanken. Während Politiker über die Vorratsdatenspeicherung streiten, hat sich im Hintergrund ein zweiter Apparat gebildet, unscheinbar, allgegenwärtig, effizient und demokratisch völlig unkontrolliert. Seine Sensoren hängen nicht an Straßenecken oder in Polizeiwagen, sondern an den Glasfassaden privater Unternehmen. Sein Rohstoff sind nicht Ermittlungsakten, sondern Kundenprofile. Und seine Macht wächst nicht durch Gesetzesverschärfungen, sondern durch Marktlogik.Der neue Überwachungsstaat ist privat. Und genau darin liegt seine Gefahr. Denn er braucht keine Gesetze, um sich auszubreiten. Er braucht nur unsere Bequemlichkeit.Wer heute einen Supermarkt betritt, tritt bereits in ein Labor der Verhaltensanalyse ein. Moderne Filialen setzen Kameras ein, die längst nicht mehr nur Bilder aufzeichnen, sondern Verhalten entschlüsseln: untypische Bewegungen, Zögern, Muster, Abweichungen. Die Algorithmen wissen, ob jemand zielstrebig einkauft oder nervös durch die Gänge läuft. Sie erkennen, wer häufiger zum Regal zurückkehrt, wer suchend umherblickt, wer sich „auffällig“ verhält. Es ist die gleiche Logik, die vor 15 Jahren als „predictive policing“ begann, nur dass sie heute im Konsumtempel stattfindet. Kein Richter prüft das. Kein Parlament kontrolliert es. Die Überwachung ist keine staatliche Maßnahme mehr, sondern ein Geschäftsmodell. Ein Kunde, der zweimal im Gang stehen bleibt, ist für die KI eine Wahrscheinlichkeit. Eine potenzielle Anomalie. Ein Risiko und Risikobewertung ist in der neuen Ökonomie nichts anderes als Profilbildung.Was die meisten Menschen nicht wissen: Viele dieser Systeme sind nicht im Besitz der Supermärkte, sondern werden von externen Dienstleistern betrieben, die die Daten technisch auswerten, speichern, modellieren und daraus „Lösungen“ für mehrere Einzelhandelsketten entwickeln. Wer einmal erfasst ist, taucht möglicherweise in Datenpools auf, von deren Existenz er nie erfahren wird. Es entsteht ein Paralleluniversum von Risikobewertungen, Verhaltensmustern und algorithmischen Zuordnungen, vollkommen außerhalb jeder demokratischen Kontrolle.Das ist keine Übertreibung, sondern der Kern des Problems: Privatwirtschaftliche Überwachung ist unsichtbar, entgrenzt und entpolitisiert. Mayukh Panja ist Astrophysiker, Ingenieur und Wissenschaftler mit indischen Wurzeln, der seit fast zehn Jahren in Deutschland lebt und forscht. Welcome to part two of this two part episode with Ian Ewing.Today's guest is Ian Ewing, a self-taught instrumentalist, producer and artist who blends a smooth mix of hip hop, electronica, and R&B to create a sound that has been supported and showcased by Chillhop Music, SiriusXM, BBC One Extra, Soulection, Complexion's Future Beats Show, and many others. At a young age, the Southern California-based artist (by way of Wisconsin) fell in love with hip hop and the history behind it. This was his gateway into electronic beat production where he finds himself today, as he strives to create ambient compositions of sample-based sounds blended with his own instrumentation.
