I'm always honored to showcase new talent, and it's extra special when it's the next generation of a previous guest. In episode 187, I introduced you to Ronnie Gregg, the talented lead singer of Southern Accents. Now, I'm excited to bring you his daughter, Haddie Jane. Her sound is a unique blend of alternative coffeehouse vibes, mixed with rock and pop influences, drawing comparisons to the Plain White T's, The Beatles, and Colbie Caillat. Haddie's soulful melodies and acoustic style make her one to watch in 2025. About the Episode: Julie Lowe shares her passion around kids/teens, especially those that are suffering. As Julie felt led by Scripture and the stories of broken families in the Bible, she felt led to pursue her counseling degree. Julie and her husband have a beautiful story behind their adopted children – the beauty as well as the hardship. She dives into what the Gospel is as it relates to raising children, families, and brokenness. She describes the “fast food” lifestyle of families instead of nourishing relationships through time and deep engagement, which involves being countercultural instead of embracing what is around us as it relates to technology specifically. She offers encouragement to families even if they feel it is too late to develop a relationship with their child or have “failed” in certain ways with their families. She highlights the importance of looking to God rather than the world or even other families as to how to shepherd their family looking for a formula. Julie also gave an equipping conversation at PCPC on her book “Safeguards,” and we have that linked below in the resources. About Our Guest: Julie Lowe is an author, speaker, and counselor. She holds an MA in counseling from Biblical Theological Seminary, is a licensed professional counselor with over twenty-five years of counseling experience, and is a registered play therapist supervisor. Julie served as a faculty member at the Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation (CCEF) for over 20 years and has lectured and taught at Missio Seminary and Westminster Theological Seminary. Julie has extensive experience teaching, speaking, and consulting with churches, schools, and other organizations around the country. She regularly teaches on topics such as marriage, women's issues, sexual abuse, body image issues, parenting, adoption, and child maltreatment issues. She is trained in leading mandated reporter trainings and provides numerous trainings on child sexual abuse. Julie has a registered therapy dog that she works with both professionally and on a volunteer basis. Her work and resources have been widely promoted by organizations such as Focus on the Family, The Evangelical Counsel for Abuse Prevention. and Paul Tripp's Connecting Podcast. Julie and her husband, Greg, live in the Philadelphia, PA, area and have five children. They have served for over 20 years as foster and adoptive parents. They share their journey with the Lord and how they personally make time and space for the Lord in their daily life and desire for others to create that space. Why is it so hard to surrender to our limits? How do we get to where there is so much intimacy with the living Lord that there is joy and richness in spending time with Him? How do we create space for the Holy Spirit to transform our lives? Do I value obedience? You will be richly blessed by listening to Skeet and Angie. Welcome back to The Lighthouse Family Podcast. In today's episode we have the honor of speaking with Brent & Jade Campbell. Together they have three children, Haddie, Ruby & Judson. Brent serves as the pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Lahoma, OK, while Jade is a dedicated stay-at-home mom. In the early months of 2022, their world was dramatically altered when they received the heart-wrenching news from medical professionals that their beloved daughter, Haddie, had been diagnosed with leukemia. They begin by recounting the duration it took for Haddie to persistently voice her discomfort before the shocking discovery of her leukemia & how they processed the news individually and as a family. In this candid conversation, Brent and Jade also shed light on the realities of the "maintenance" phase and how they've come to realize that life doesn't merely return to the way it was before the diagnosis. Their journey has led them to embrace a new "normal," recognizing that their lives have been forever changed. Throughout this challenging experience, Haddie has emerged as an incredible inspiration to everyone fortunate enough to know her. She expresses gratitude to all those who have cared for her and played a part in helping her overcome cancer, and she continues to lean on her unwavering faith in the Lord. About the Episode: This podcast is encouraging to many of us who are busy with the ways the world seeks to fulfill us but seek rest in the Lord. The culture around us seeks for everyone to do more and more while not counting the costs. There can tend to be an innate sense of wanting to feel limitless, and along with that comes immense pressure to "keep up." How do we move from what the culture says is possible to how we are meant to live as believers trusting in the Lord? These women share their process as they think through which activities their families participate in. They share how fear is a motivation behind too many activities and their desire to have freedom from that fear. If you are struggling with issues related to anything, please don't hesitate to reach out to deeplight@pcpc.org or 214-224-2500. About Our Guests: Lindsey Sheppard and her husband, Clayton, have been married for almost 17 years. They have an eleven-year-old son, a nine-year-old daughter, and a six-year-old daughter. Sara Hale loves being married to her husband, John, and being the mother of their two children. She is a member of PCPC who says "hello" to Aunt Carol, who watches the services from California each week. Kristen Hatton is a Christian author, speaker, and Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Kari Stainback, LPC-S. She has written three books for teenagers, one specifically addressing adolescent girls' struggle for identity and worth, and her latest book for parents, Parenting Ahead (April 2023 release date). In addition, she started a ministry for parents called Redemptive Parenting that includes The Redemptive Parenting Podcast. But after nearly 25 years of mothering and lay counseling stirred her desire for further training to better walk alongside those dealing with such issues as stress, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and relational issues that she commonly encountered, Kristen returned to school for a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. As a professional counselor, Kristen works primarily with teen girls, young adult women, parents, and families. While she naturally operates from a biblical worldview integrating faith in counseling, Kristen gladly meets all clients where they are, for she believes the most important aspect of counseling is in the therapeutic relationship. Furthermore, because Kristen does not see counseling as a one-fit-for-all, she draws from several counseling modalities, including family systems and cognitive behavioral therapy. Kristen and her husband have three adult children and a son-in-law. Outside of work, Kristen is active in her church and enjoys being outdoors, traveling, entertaining, writing, and watching football. Her writing can be found at kristenhatton.com as well as on the Rooted Ministry website and in LifeWay magazine's ParentingTeens magazine. About the Episode: Author Kelly Kapic discusses how God places limits on our lives to bring us closer to Him through true dependence. In a world where limits are seen as negative, Dr. Kapic talks about the beauty of those limits, brought about by some of his own personal journey as well as being a professor. Limits can be seen as physical, emotional, educational, relational, age-related, or many other things. Hear them discuss the unintended consequences of trying to do all the world says we have to do to keep up or get ahead and whether we are even asking God. How can we live counter-culturally with regard to accepting our limits and abiding in Christ? There is so much beauty in God's design. If you are struggling with issues related to anything, please don't hesitate to reach out to deeplight@pcpc.org or 214-224-2500. About Our Guest: Kelly M. Kapic is Professor of Theological Studies at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia, where he has taught since 2001. He has written and edited over fifteen books, including You're Only Human, which won the Christianity Today Book of the Year Award in Theology (Popular) and the Southwestern Journal of Theology 2022 Book of the Year Award (Applied Theology/Ethics) and Embodied Hope (IVP Academic, 2017), which won the Book of the Year Award from Christianity Today in the category of Theology and Ethics and World Magazine's Short List award for Accessible Theology Book of the year. Some of his other work includes the widely used text A Little Book for New Theologians and two volumes with the economist Brian Fikkert: Becoming Whole: Why the Opposite of Poverty isn't the American Dream and A Field Guide to Becoming Whole: Principles for Poverty Alleviation Ministries. He received the 2023 Georgia Author of the Year Finalist Award (Inspirational). An active speaker and collaborator, Kapic has also worked on research teams funded by the John Templeton Foundation and has written for various academic journals and popular magazines, including serving on the Board of editorial consultants for the Journal of Spiritual Formation and Soul Care. Part two of We Saved You A Seat's conversation with Jade highlights the amazing community Jade and her family have surrounding them. Hearing how Jade's family, friends, and community surrounded and supported Haddie will give you ideas and inspire you to help others impacted by childhood cancer.
Today you have the incredible opportunity to meet Jade Campbell and hear pieces of their daughter's journey and diagnosis of B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. As we continue to honor families who have experienced or are experiencing the childhood cancer journey, today we are reminded to celebrate, encourage, and cheer on the families who are fighting for a healthy future. We are releasing our conversation with Jade in three parts today and we know all who hear, who are fighting for their healthy future, will feel encouraged and inspired... Part One: Diagnosis Part Two: Friends, Family and Community Support (Ideas to help others) Part Three: Resources, Sibling Support, and Update on Haddie
Part three of our conversation with Jade shares the importance and impact that local non-profits have on families. You will hear Jade share just a little about some organizations that made big impacts on their family: The Kids Korral, KClub, Wyatt's Wings, and Art with Heart are a few examples of organizations that touched the Campbell's lives and will continue to leave an impact on other families fighting childhood cancer. You will also hear an update on how Haddie is doing now; and we never want to leave out siblings. Siblings who are being touched by a brother or sister fighting cancer, play an important role and are impacted as well; and this conversation shares some of the real and raw moments involving siblings in that care. On behalf of the Campbell Family, thank you for listening today, supporting them, and praying for Haddie (and others) as childhood cancer impacts so many in our communities.

When eight-year-old Haddie sees Pongo the giant panda at the Kingsland Zoo, she's utterly disappointed to find out that he is, in fact, not literally giant. That shouldn't be a problem for a very advanced magic wielder like Haddie, right? Nothing could possibly go wrong! Right?
Welcome to another episode of the Action and Ambition Podcast! Joining us today is Mark Murrell, Chief Curator of Haddie Bay Club, a collection of 7777 Haddie, the 1-in-100-million Cotton Candy Lobster NFTs. Mark has a partnership with Coppersmith and became Haddie's trusted guardian. Though Mark quickly found Haddie a forever home at a local aquarium, he knew the whole world would fall in love with her amazing colors if given a chance to behold Haddie's beauty, and he was right. Haddie took over social and the news. She was an overnight sensation. They are now building a special “1-in-100-million” community around this ultra-rare lobster. Tune in to learn more
