Scandal has struck at the heart of East Grinstead, and together with Apostate Alex, I, Claire Headley, peel back the curtain on Scientology's insidious grasp on local governance. Our latest podcast episode unveils the shocking entanglement of the controversial church within the fibers of East Grinstead Town Council. As we unpack the Daily Mail's bombshell revelations, you'll hear firsthand how 'safepointing' has become Scientology's modus operandi, transforming community ties into a strategic ploy for power. The journey to uncover these truths wasn't without resistance, as you'll learn through our personal accounts of the pushback from the council and the formidable wall of silence we've been chipping away at.The plot thickens when we turn the spotlight on the local council's dance with complicity, as we reveal the extent of their alleged collusion with Scientology's darker side. We discuss how redacted minutes and censored records are more than just bureaucratic maneuvers—they are the footprints of a council struggling to maintain an image while under the church's financial charm. The tales of personal attacks faced by critics, reminiscent of Scientology's 'fair game' tactics, illustrate a chilling reality. Our dialogue also branches out to consider the wider implications of such financial influence on local governments, from East Grinstead to the Los Angeles Police Department, and the pressing need for transparency and accountability. In a compelling segue, we turn our attention to the Paris Ideal Org's grand opening—shadowed by controversy and strikingly low turnout. The event's subdued atmosphere and David Miscavige's absence are not mere footnotes but indicators of Scientology's wavering facade of expansion. We speculate on Miscavige's current game of hide-and-seek, all while considering Scientology's potential maneuvers for the impending Paris Olympics. Wrapping up, we acknowledge the valiant efforts of global activists like Shanti Das, whose formidable work has put Narconon's questionable practices under the microscope, inspiring us all to persist in the fight for awareness and change.Support the Show.BFG Store - http://blownforgood-shop.fourthwall.com/Blown For Good on Audible - https://www.amazon.com/Blown-for-Good-Marc-Headley-audiobook/dp/B07GC6ZKGQ/ref=tmm_aud_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr=Blown For Good Website: http://blownforgood.com/PODCAST INFO:Podcast website: https://www.buzzsprout.com/2131160/shareApple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/blown-for-good-behind-the-iron-curtain-of-scientology/id1671284503 Spotify: ...

Former Sea Org member and niece of Scientology leader David Miscavige, Jenna Miscavige, talks about leaving "The Ranch" in order to join the Sea Org, getting involved in higher level management, how she barely knew her own parents, the constant level of paranoia she saw from everyone at all levels, what it was like to date within the Sea Org, how she threatened to kill herself to get her partner out of highly controlled isolation, the potential whereabouts of her Aunt Shelly, how a trip to Australia served as the catalyst for her to leave, and was threatened with family separation and followed by private investigators. Strap in for an extraordinary revelation as former Scientology insiders Marc & Claire Headley, Mark Fisher, and Janis Gillman Grady join us to unravel the enigma that is the Church's leadership. Their stories transport us deep into the world of L. Ron Hubbard and David Miscavige, juxtaposing Hubbard's peculiar idiosyncrasies with Miscavige's unchecked indulgence. The preservation of Hubbard's quarters, a time capsule of his existence, contrasts starkly with Miscavige's taste for opulence, from his fleet of luxury vehicles to his custom bulletproof van. Through vivid recollections, our guests peel back the layers of secrecy to expose the inner workings of one of the most elusive organizations. Our conversation steers through the choppy waters of Scientology's past, navigating through tales of overboarding at sea and the eerie calm of Hubbard's living arrangements amidst public scrutiny. Claire Headley sheds light on the financial labyrinth that is the Religious Technology Center, giving us a glimpse of the golden handcuffs that lock the higher-ups in their gilded cages. Meanwhile, anecdotes about Miscavige's personal staff and their hyper-vigilant service paint a picture of a man whose authority is as much a construct of fear as it is of reverence.Closing the lid on this Pandora's box of eye-opening narratives, we probe the strategic maneuverings that propelled Miscavige to the pinnacle of power within Scientology. From his early setbacks to his final domination, his rise is a testament to the undercurrents of coercion and control within the organization. We leave no stone unturned, exposing the seismic cultural shifts from the era of Hubbard to the age of Miscavige. Join us for this unmissable episode, where the truth isn't just stranger than fiction—it's more harrowing.Support the showBFG Store - http://blownforgood-shop.fourthwall.com/Blown For Good on Audible - https://www.amazon.com/Blown-for-Good-Marc-Headley-audiobook/dp/B07GC6ZKGQ/ref=tmm_aud_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr=Blown For Good Website: http://blownforgood.com/PODCAST INFO:Podcast website: https://www.buzzsprout.com/2131160/shareApple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/blown-for-good-behind-the-iron-curtain-of-scientology/id1671284503 Spotify: ...

The Strange Death of Flo Barnett, Mother-in-law to Scientology Leader David Miscavige. Original Article by Tony Ortega Flo Barnett is a name you won't hear listed when it comes to popularly known Scientologists. Flo Barnett was the mother to Shelly Miscavige, who was / is married to present day Scientology leader, David Miscavige. Shelly Miscavige became a name of interest when actor Leah Remini blew the whistle on Scientology. Remini had been questioning the whereabouts of Shelly Miscavige. Due to a prolongated absence of Miscavige, from their usual events that she would typically attend. Shelly Miscavige hasn't been seen in public for over 15 years now. While it has been stated that Shelly Miscavige is known to be alive and well, other's seem to question this as fact..due to the secrecy surrounding anything Scientology related. If you thought the story about Shelly Miscavige was unusual, wait till you hear about her mother. Most people are familiar with the usual character's & stories associated with Scientology. From Tom Cruise, to John Travolta, Kirstie Alley, & Leah Remini. From the A&E series " Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath", to " Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology" By Leah Remini. There's even a documentary, " Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief" By Alex Gibney. Scientology has been steeped in controversy since it's conception, founded by L. Ron Hubbard in the 1950's. Hubbard initially developed a set of ideas that he called Dianetics, which he represented as a form of therapy. This he promoted through various publications, as well as through the Hubbard Dianetic Research Foundation that he established in 1950. The foundation went bankrupt, and Hubbard lost the rights to his book Dianetics in 1952. He then recharacterized the subject as a religion and renamed it Scientology, retaining the terminology, doctrines, and the practice of "auditing".[6][15][16] By 1954, he had regained the rights to Dianetics and retained both subjects under the umbrella of the Church of Scientology.[23] Follow Bizarre Buffet Online Support Bizarre Buffet On Patreon Follow Bizarre Buffet On Instagram Like Bizarre Buffet On Facebook Subscribe To Bizarre Buffet On YouTube Bizarre Buffet Online Follow The Host's Of Bizarre Buffet Follow Marc Bluestein On Instagram Follow Jen Wilson On Instagram Follow Mark Tauriello On Instagram If you're enjoying the content brought to you here at Bizarre Buffet, please consider leaving a positive review of the show on Apple Podcast's / iTunes. In August 2007, Shelly Miscavige was last seen in public while heavily escorted. It's been 14 years and she hasn't been seen or heard from since (allegedly lol). What happened to the woman once so powerful she was dubbed the 'First Lady of Scientology'? In a church full of mysteries, Shelly's disappearance may be the most puzzling. What happened? Where is she? Is she even alive? Rather than getting dizzy thinking of the possibilities, we're dissecting all of them in this episode. Welcome back, peeps and creeps! In this episode, Kristin tells Mogab all her favorite stories from her favorite subject: Scientology! This episode focuses on the current leader of the church, David Miscavige, and the insanity that ensues under his leadership. Kristin tells Mogab the story of how Miscavige schemed his way to the top, using blackmail, intimidation, and physical violence to get his way. She then tells the story of the most insane, sadistic game of musical chairs that has ever been played (by FULL GROWN ADULTS). Kristin finishes by telling Mogab the exciting story of how Claire Headley managed her escape from the International Headquarters of Scientology! They discuss how it’s possible Scientology has their Sea Org members trapped on these bases (FBI, answer for your crimes!). This podcast is about the often arbitrary ways in which the Church of Scientology works in real life as opposed to its PR. For example, after spending $50,000, or more, to reach the State of Clear, the new Clear is given a secret letter from L. Ron Hubbard telling them that they are in danger and get onto the OT levels as fast as possible or else! But how can this be if a Clear no longer has his or her Reactive Mind? A Clear is supposed to be at "Cause Over Life" and able to handle anything. However, they are told they in some kind of danger and won't discover why until they do OT III Jeffrey Augustine asks Aaron why it can take up to 20 years to move from Clear to OT in Scientology. This is a great question. Aaron explains why this happens to former Sea Org members who are treated like pariahs and lepers. Aaron discusses how David Miscavige used the Golden Age of Tech I and II in an ideological manner to purge older Scientologists who were loyal to Hubbard and not Miscavige. Aaron also offers fascinating insights into young 2nd generation Scientologists who attested that they were past life clears as early as 12 years of age. Aaron's insights into this and the consequences it caused inside of Scientology are extremely fascinating.
Claire Headley takes us through her Sea Org years at Religious Technology Center. She talks about the messing Shelley Miscavige, the escalating punishments and sadism at INT base, including the humiliating punishment of having the clean feces with one's hands. She describes what happened at INT Base after Marty Rathbun fled, and how she finally understands what Miscavige meant by stating that INT Base staff were "security risks."

He quickly signed a 2.5 year staff contract and was appointed as the Director of Communications for the Bogota Org. Located in a private home in an upscale neighborhood, it would be twenty-five years before David Miscavige would pull a rope to open the big new 8-story Scientology Org in downtown Bogota. Adrian recounts many interesting stories of his time on staff in Colombia and gives us a look into Scientology in Latin America. Former Sea Org member Dan Koon worked in the compilations unit of Scientology (RTRC) where Hubbard's writings were turned into official Scientology books, lectures, and publications. Many of these products were sold to Scientologists and the public and thus represented a significant income stream for the Church. Accordingly, David Miscavige micromanaged compilations and Dan worked closely with Miscavige. After leaving the Sea Org, Dan Koon later helped Ron Miscavige Sr. to write his New York Times bestselling book -- Ruthless: Scientology, My Son David Miscavige, and Me.
My Scientology Movie sees BBC presenter, Louis Theroux, attempt to infiltrate the Church of Scientology, an organisation infamous for being shrouded in secrecy. Curiosity about the mysterious inner workings of the church, along with reports of assault committed by leader, David Miscavige, motivate Theroux’s efforts to understand life inside the Church and why it is so confidential. Since first approaching the Church in 2002, Theroux’s pursuit to gain access to the Church and interview Miscavige had been denied. Classified under the spiritual state of Operating Thetan (OT) and one of the highest levels within the hierarchy, members of the “Sea Org” also declined to be involved. Without admittance to the Church or interviews with practising Scientologists, one would assume any plans for the documentary would be abandoned. Instead, Theroux sets out to re-enact incidences involving Miscavige, the Sea Org and high profile member, Tom Cruise by holding a casting call in Hollywood, where the Church’s Los Angeles headquarters resides. Theroux is aided by Mark “Marty” Rathbun, an ex-Scientologist who was previously Miscavige’s second-in-command. The casting call sparks bitter backlash from the Scientologist community, resulting in Theroux and his team being stalked and threatened throughout the film. Casting actors to re-create Marty’s recollections of being a Scientologist works well to gradually introduce the audience to Scientology and awaken Marty’s memories. Most importantly, this approach compels Scientologists to engage with the documentary. Theroux appeals to the quality all scientologists, whether practising or excommunicated, seem to share in the film; an overbearing sense of pride. This could be attributed to the “auditing sessions” all members must undergo, which involve practicing intimidation techniques and dominating your opponent’s mind. Marty helps Theroux conduct a mock auditing session with the cast members to help them understand the harsh treatment within the Church and what motivates their characters. These techniques aim to instil doubt and distrust in the follower, hardening their mind but also weakening their empathy. Marty, despite having left the Church seven years ago, displays a similar type of pride when speaking about his previous role within Scientology, boasting that the “Church was absolutely at [his] beck and call”. Marty is a conflicted character, both reminiscing about former glory and bitter towards his past aggressors. The main criticism against Theroux documentaries is the presenter tends to insert himself into the narrative, steering away from traditional methods of strict observation. Fans of Theroux will relish the moment he catches his interviewees off-guard with his quips and quirky interviewing style, a trademark of his documentaries. Those intrigued by both the subject and the way the presenter engages with the subject will find this film captivating. However, I can appreciate that those who prefer the traditional style would not welcome his techniques, which often blur the line between conventional documentary and reality tv. This is where the genius lies, though, for the cast of actors play two roles in this film; the fabricated re-enactment of Marty’s memories and their real experiences with Scientologists as they’re hounded during filming. The switches between official BBC camera footage and mobile recordings suggests the documentary is largely unfiltered, and reinforces the idea of the film’s authenticity. This balances the growing suspicion you may feel when listening to Marty’s stories, a position I found myself in especially when he omits piece of information or becomes agitated without warning. I would highly recommend going to see this film, whether you’re a Theroux fan or not. It sees the talents of director, John Dower, and producer, Simon Chinn, come together and make a thought-provoking and entertaining film. Written by Erin Connellan

Claire Headley recounts events from her life as a senior Sea Org executive working in the Religious Technology Center (RTC). These events were stressful, abusive, and worsened by extreme sleep deprivation. This caused Claire to lose so much weight that she believed she had cancer. These events led Claire to secretly plan her very dramatic escape from the Sea Org. Commanded by Captain David Miscavige, RTC can be correctly described as the "Internal Affairs" branch of the of the Church of Scientology. Miscavige his complete dictatorial control over the Church of Scientology through his invented office of "Chairman of the Board, Religious Technology Center."
Published on Jul 11, 2014 Former Sea Org member Chuck Beatty and Jeffrey Augustine discuss a perennial debate: Did L. Ron Hubbard appoint David Miscavige his successor, or, did David Miscavige seize power? Chuck also discusses his experiences in Author Services Incorporated and the way Miscavige used ASI to assume power over the Church prior to becoming COB RTC. Chuck describes how ASI was created as a legal way to funnel money to L. Ron Hubbard. Jeff mentions a little known fact: David Miscavige had a life-threatening asthma attack in 1980. Emerging from this crisis in a hospital emergency room, David Miscavige told Paul Grady that he had a revelation that "Power is Assumed" and thereafter began to assume power in the Church by whatever means it required. This is part 2 of an on going Series exposing "Author Services".

He describes the actual incident of "Int Base Musical Chairs" the most read thread of all time on Xenu.net capturing the *Scientology* world's attention. At least 350,000 read the story, counting the cross posts. Marc covers the darker more diabolical aspects of Office of Special Affairs which is emotional blackmail. OSA actually called Child Protective Services to take away Marc and Claire's children on trumped up charges. This, folks is the vengeful hideous side of the *Church* of Scientology.
Mike Rinder and Jeffrey Augustine discuss Jillian Schlesinger, the recently leaked Church of Scientology 990-T tax filings with the IRS, and the disaster created by the Church of Scientology in South Africa. Jillian Schlesinger recently escaped from the notorious Church of Scientology slave labor force known as the Sea Org. Within three weeks of her escape, Jillian made of series of YouTube videos with Karen de la Carriere. These videos and Jillian’s story went viral. The Church’s Office of Special Affairs engaged in Fair Game against Karen de la Carriere and Jeffrey Augustine following the release of these videos. Mike Rinder comments on why he thinks the Jillian Schlesinger videos represent such a threat to Church of Scientology. Jeffrey Augustine recently located and released Church of Scientology IRS 990-T filings wherein the Church declared a book value of $1.5 billion for just three of its entities: Church of Scientology International, Church of Spiritual Technology, and Flag Service Organization. Mike Rinder describes the dramatic meltdown of the Church of Scientology in South Africa.
