Doctor Death: Britain's Worst Serial Killer (True Crime Documentary)Britain's biggest serial killer was a doctor, Dr Harold Shipman. Unsuspected for many years, Dr. Shipman selected his victims from his patient list. There were clues, but who in the community would believe that a doctor would kill his patients? Suspected of killing over 350 people during his career, it was clumsy attempts at forging the will of one of his victims in his own favour that alerted the police and led to his arrest. Found guilty at his trial and jailed for life, Dr Shipman committed suicide never accepting his guilt.Doctor Death: Britain's Worst Serial Killer True Crime Documentary True Crime Podcast 2023 Police Interrogations, 911 Calls and True Police Stories Podcast

RACIST, ANGRY, VIOLENT Wife Murderer Police Interrogation of Clifford BurnsWARNING: AUDIO CONTAINS EXTREMELY GRAPHIC, AS WELL AS RACIST, LANGUAGE AND DESCRIPTIONS. SOME VIEWERS MAY FIND THIS MATERIAL DISTURBING AND UNSUITABLE FOR CHILDREN.Warren County Sheriff's deputies question Clifford Burns on the night he is alleged to have fatally stabbed his wife, Patricia Burns. As Patricia Burns heaved her ham out of the freezer, she was looking forward to a quiet Christmas. It was December 22, 2013, and Patricia, 42, was spending the festive season at home with her daughters, Megan, 22, Harley, 16, and Autumn, 14.The family had been through so much.Patricia's marriage to Clifford Burns, who was dad to Harley and Autumn, had been rocky. The couple met when Patricia was working at a Dunkin' Donuts drive-through.Clifford had pulled up and decided there was something he fancied more than a doughnut. So he asked Patricia for her number. At first he'd seemed like a great catch – he had his own business, was a keen fisherman, and doted on Megan, her little sister Christalin and brother, Nick. But after their '97 wedding, Clifford became violent. His traumatic past was often cited as the reason behind his abuse – he'd witnessed his father's violence towards his mother. So Patricia gave him the benefit of the doubt, taking him back time and time again.Together they had their two girls, Harley and Autumn. She moved into a new apartment with the kids and began working as a nurse at a hospice, and also got a five-year restraining order against Clifford.Patricia began another relationship. But this new man also had a temper and was slapped with a restraining order after assaulting her, firing a gun into the ceiling and then having a standoff with police. Now, all Patricia wanted was a peaceful Christmas.Autumn texted her dad to wish him Merry Christmas, even though he'd not been in touch for eight months. His reply, which came as Patricia was defrosting the ham, was chilling.I have a special gift coming soon, something for everyone to talk about, and it will be hand-delivered on foot, not by car, it read.Autumn interpreted the message as a threat. Harley and Megan agreed, so they showed the text to their mum.'Is he going to come here and kill us?'‘Is he going to come here and kill us?' Megan asked. But Patricia wasn't concerned.‘No Megan, he's mean, he's evil, but he's not that evil,' she said.Despite her mum's lack of concern, Autumn tapped back a reply.Get it together, I know what you think you want to do, and believe me that won't end well, she wrote in the message. The only reason you feel so bad is because of what happened between your parents.Christmas EveTwo days later, on Christmas Eve, Harley went to do some last-minute shopping.Patricia, Megan and Autumn remained at home, preparing Christmas dinner in the kitchen. This time, Patricia was preparing a turkey. Then there was a knock at the door.On the other side of it was a masked man in army fatigues. He was carrying a large hunting knife. The man grabbed Patricia and held her against the wall. Then he plunged the knife into her stomach.'Megan ran over, grabbing the man and pulling his mask off.'Megan ran over, grabbing the man and pulling his mask off. It was Clifford.‘Call the cops!' Megan screamed to Autumn, who was frozen in terror.Clifford continued to stab their mum, before turning the knife on Megan, slashing her arm.Patricia, bleeding profusely, pleaded with her ex to stop.As Autumn called an ambulance, Megan ran out of the house, but her stepdad followed her.Approaching her, he ran off when diners at a restaurant nearby came out.Paramedics arrived, rushing them to the hospital – but Patricia didn't make it.The beloved mum died from multiple stab wounds to her stomach and chest.True Crime Podcast 2023 Police Interrogations, 911 Calls and True Police Stories Podcast

Nurse's Aide Charged W/ Sex Crimes Involving Memory Care Patients | FULL Police InterrogationA former nurse's aide who pleaded guilty to sex crimes involving memory care patients was sentenced to three years in prison on Tuesday.Godbless Uwadiegwu, 59, of Middletown, pleaded guilty to two counts of gross sexual imposition. He sexually assaulted two women at two different facilities in Warren County.Judge Don Oda sentenced Uwadiegwu to the maximum prison sentence, 18 months on each conviction for a total of three years.Victims and their families didn't attend the sentencing hearing due to airline and COVID-19 issues, but a livestream was available for them to watch it remotely. In addition, victim advocate Erika Bourelle read letters on behalf of the victims and their families. One letter was written by one of the victims herself."Some people may not remember, but I do. This happened on his first day in my building. I needed assistance after using the restroom and he came in to help me wipe," she wrote. The victim described how Uwadiegwu sexually assaulted her."I said, 'Hey, what are you doing?' And he was very shocked and said, 'Oh, I'm sorry. That was an accident,'" the victim wrote. "He takes advantage of people who can't defend themselves, and I think he needs to go to prison for as long as possible."Bourelle read another letter written by the second victim's son. His mother suffers from Alzheimer's and dementia"It is obvious what a sad, pathetic person you are. What kind of monster preys on defenseless women?" he wrote. "Thanks to this terrible disease, there is less and less of my mother, but she has moments of clarity, times when mom is back. Her eyes are clear and she is exactly how I remember her. We live for those moments. Unfortunately, when it comes to the sexual assault, my mother remembers."He said Uwadiegwu used to bring his mother gifts and candy to gain her trust. Instead, he betrayed it."My mother doesn't remember much these days, but she remembers you and what you do did. So, she is left with shame and fear. That is the impact on my mother," he wrote. On Tuesday, Uwadiegwu spoke for the first time publicly. He didn't admit to any wrongdoing. He said he was just doing his job."I have been a missionary. I lived in a church, and I have been working to help people in this field," Uwadiegwu said. "As a caregiver, I put empathy in my work in helping people."Uwadiegwu said the job of a caregiver is a very serious job and sometimes he had to clean patients."I really apologize if there was any way to think I have done anything I shouldn't do," Uwadiegwu said. "It never came across my mind at any time. Please believe me."Uwadiegwu faces similar charges in Butler County.
LAPD Detective Stephanie Lazarus Murder Suspect - Full Length Police Interrogation Full Length Police Interrogation VideoSherri Rasmussen (February 7, 1957 – February 24, 1986) was an American woman found dead in February 1986 in an apartment she shared with her husband, John Ruetten, in Van Nuys, California. Rasmussen had been beaten and shot three times in a struggle. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) initially considered the case a botched burglary, and the crime remained unsolved.Rasmussen's father believed that Stephanie Lazarus, an LAPD officer, was a prime suspect. Detectives who re-examined the cold case files in 2009 were eventually led to Lazarus, by then herself a detective. A DNA sample she unknowingly discarded was matched to one from a bite on Rasmussen's body that had remained in the files. Lazarus was convicted of the murder in 2012 and is serving a sentence of 27 years to life for first-degree murder at the California Institution for Women in Corona.Lazarus appealed the conviction, claiming that the age of the case and the evidence denied her due process. She also alleged that the search warrant was improperly granted, her statements in an interview prior to her arrest were compelled, and that evidence supporting the original case theory should have been admitted at trial. In 2015, the guilty verdict was upheld by the California Court of Appeal.[5]Some of the police files suggest that evidence that could have implicated Lazarus earlier in the investigation was later removed, perhaps by others in the LAPD. Rasmussen's parents unsuccessfully sued the department over this and other aspects of the investigation. Jennifer Francis, the criminalist who found key evidence from the bite mark, unsuccessfully sued the City of Los Angeles, claiming she was pressured by police to favor certain suspects in this and other high-profile cases and was retaliated against when she brought this to the LAPD's attention.True Crime Podcast 2023 Police Interrogations, 911 Calls and True Police Stories Podcast
Israel Keyes is the most terrifying serial killer you've probably never heard of - Serial Killer DocumentaryIsrael Keyes is all of your worst fears personified into one of the most terrifying serial killers of the 21st century.February 1, 2012, began like any other day at work for 18-year-old Samantha Koenig, but it ended in unspeakable tragedy.Finishing up her shift at the Common Grounds coffee stand in downtown Anchorage, Alaska, the young barista was approached by a man wearing a ski mask who ordered coffee – a man who would later be named as Israel Keyes. After Samantha handed him the order, Keyes pulled out a gun and demanded money, and the terrified teen quickly complied.Forcing himself inside the stand, Keyes tied the young woman's hands together with zip ties before forcing her into his white Ford Focus, where she tried – and failed – to escape the abductor, who held a gun to her head and said he would kill her if she tried again.Driving around town with Samantha still bound in the vehicle, Keyes explained to the terrified teen that this was simply a kidnapping for ransom and that if she cooperated, she'd be returned to her family unharmed.Keyes kept Samantha alive for several hours and even drove back to her coffee stand to retrieve her mobile phone. He then used it to send a fake text message to her boyfriend, who was due to pick her up after her shift. The text read: “Hey, I'm spending a couple of days with friends, let me dad know.”Keyes took Samantha to his property, where he tied her up in a shed. He turned his radio up so no one could hear her screams and pleas for help. After demanding Samantha's address, Keyes made his way to retrieve her ATM card from her boyfriend's truck. In a gut-wrenching twist, while stealing the debit card, Keyes was confronted by Samantha's boyfriend – who was already on edge after discovering Koenig was not at work when he arrived to pick her up as well as having received the strange text message from her phone earlier, which had, in fact, been sent by Keyes.Thinking he was a random burglar attempting to break into his car, Samantha's boyfriend ran inside to get help, while Keyes fled.Returning to his property, Keyes poured himself a glass of wine as he returned to his shed and raped a sobbing Samantha. He then strangled her to death.Keyes returned inside, packed for a pre-planned cruise in New Orleans, woke his daughter for school, and left for the airport.Returning to Anchorage on February 17, 2012, Keyes began preparing a ransom note, but first, he decided to remove Samantha's body from the cupboard. He applied makeup to Samantha's face – frozen and lifeless – before unsettlingly sewing her eyes open with fishing line to give her the appearance of being alive. He then took a Polaroid of her “holding” up that day's newspaper.True Crime Podcast 2023 Police Interrogations, 911 Calls and True Police Stories Podcast

Tim Jones - Confesses to Killing his Five Children Full Length Police InterrogationTim Jones confesses to killing his five children in interview audio played during trialIn an audio recording of a police interview played during the trial of Tim Jones contains his confession of killing his five children.LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - After more than three weeks of testimony, a jury has reached a verdict in the trial of Timothy Jones, Jr., a Lexington County man accused of murdering his five children in 2014.The jury concluded that Jones has been found guilty on all five counts of murder in the deaths of his children. The second phase of the proceedings is the sentencing phase and that will begin at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday. Because the state is seeking the death penalty, the jury is now responsible for determining his punishment. The jury had four options for their verdict: guilty, guilty but mentally ill, not guilty by reason of insanity, or not guilty. Jones pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.A grand jury indicted Jones, Jr. in 2014 on five counts of murder in the deaths of his children – Mera, 8; Elias, 7; Nahtahn, 6; Gabriel, 2; and Abigail, 1. For Mera, Elias, Gabriel, and Abigail, the indictments state the children were killed “by means of strangulation and/or other violent means or instruments.”The bodies of the children were found in garbage bags off of a dirt road in Alabama. Jones, Jr. led authorities to the bodies after being arrested in Mississippi. Jones, who appeared to be under the influence at the time of his arrest, was questioned at the checkpoint by a Smith County, Miss. deputy about an odor of chemicals coming from his vehicle. After further investigation, the deputy found what appeared to be chemicals used to make meth and a street drug known as “Spice.” Investigators also said his Cadillac Escalade was blood-soaked and “smelled of death.”True Crime Podcast 2023 Police Interrogations, 911 Calls and True Police Stories Podcast
Raging Cannibal: the True Story of Serial Killer Ottis Toole AKA The Cannibal KidOttis Toole, born at the bottom of the gene pool, retarded and illiterate, had been out of control since early childhood. A severely drug-dependent individual as well as an arsonist, murderer, rapist, and cannibal, he was unsafe under any conditions outside of a secure prison, and perhaps unsafe there. To him, life itself was so unmeaning, and the distinction between living and dead people so blurred, that killing another human being was no more than swatting an annoying fly. Between 1976 and 1982, together with his serial killer buddy, Henry Lee Lucas, Ottis Toole was reported to have committed over three hundred murders. However, the discrediting of the case against his partner in crime, Henry Lee Lucas, for crimes in which Toole had offered collaborating statements created doubts as to whether either was a genuine serial killer or, both merely compliant interviewees who police used to clear unsolved murders from the books. Now, in RAGING CANNIBAL, a screenplay for film by author Brian lee Tucker, offers up a totally new glimpse into the life of Ottis Toole, one never shown before, the eyewitness accounts, personal testimony, and never-before-uncovered evidence providing an in depth loom into one of the most notorious serial killers that ever lived, who was dubbed the nick name, ‘the cannibal kid.'

Russell Tillis - Charged with Murder and Dismemberment of Joni Gunter - Police InterrogationThe investigation began in 2015 when Tillis was first arrested on charges of aggravated assault and battery on officers after they chased him into his yard, booby-trapped with razor blades and half-buried boards studded with nails, police said.On Dec. 8, 2016, Tillis was arrested on new charges of murder and kidnapping while in jail, based on the conversations he had with inmate Sammy Evans, prosecutors said. Evans told detectives Tillis had talked about killing and dismembering a woman and burying her on his property.Police got a search warrant and went through his ramshackle house and fenced backyard for three days, finding four holes with the buried human remains of Gunter, believed to be 30 at the time of her death. Tillis testified Thursday, stating the confession is bogus and that he wanted the death penalty at the time because he was depressed. He said he attempted suicide around the same time by swallowing pills "purchased" from inmates in exchange for meals.“I was in the hospital for three days," he told jurors of the overdose. "I should have never left. Should have ended up in the morgue.”Tills said around then he conspired with Evans to create the elaborate confession, deliberately making it as shocking as possible to create the aggravating circumstances to ensure he got the death penalty. That included telling Evans that he kept women chained up and allowed others to have sex with them for money. In the confession, Tillis is heard telling Evans that his brother Claude Tillis came to his house one day to have sex with a woman, but she recognized him, and he said "you gotta kill that b----.” He said his brother talked him into killing the woman, "but you cut her up,” Tillis is heard saying. When he spoke to jurors Thursday, the defendant then said his brother showed up at his house with Gunter's body in his trunk."Joni Gunter arrived at my residence in the trunk of my brother's car, and she was deceased. How she met her death, I had no clue," Tillis said, refusing to discuss anything more, First Coast News reported. The jail recording also has Tillis saying they hung Gunter's body from chains in the garage, and his brother cut off her head with a Sawzall. His brother got “squeamish,” leaving Tillis to dismember the body.True Crime Podcast 2023 Police Interrogations, 911 Calls and True Police Stories Podcast

Many works in this genre recount high-profile, sensational crimes such as the JonBenét Ramsey killing, the O. J. Simpson murder case, and the Pamela Smart murder, while others are devoted to more obscure slayings.True crime works can impact the crimes they cover and the audience who consumes it.[3] The genre is often criticized for being insensitive to the victims and their families and is described by some as trash culture.Podcasts with a true crime theme are a recent trend. The 2014 true crime podcast Serial broke podcasting records when it achieved 5 million downloads on iTunes quicker than any previous podcast.[24][25][26] As of September 2018, it has been downloaded more than 340 million times.[27] It has been followed by other true crime podcasts such as Dirty John, My Favorite Murder, Up and Vanished, Parcast series such as Cults, Female Criminals and Mind's Eye, Someone Knows Something, and many more.[28]Podcasts have now expanded to more sites such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and many more. They exist to provide others an easy way to learn about true crime murders and mysteries. Spotify has an expanding number of true crime podcasts with Rotten Mango, Conviction American Panic, Bed of Lies, Catch & Kill among many more. These podcasts often recount horrific crimes, which triggers the fear response and the release of adrenaline in the body. Due to the possibility of bingeing podcasts, adrenaline rushes can be experienced in quick bursts.[30] Another explanation for the popularity of true crime podcasts is due to the serialized nature of crime, in which events happen one after another. Uncaring' 911 dispatcher lectures drowning woman moments before she died FULL AUDIOPolice released disturbing audio of an Arkansas woman who called for help in the final moments of her life, drowning in her car, only to be met with mockery and disdain by the dispatcher.Debbie Stevens, 47, was on her regular paper route in Fort Smith Saturday, Aug. 24 when a flash flood swept up her car. Panicking, she dialed 911."Please help me, I don't want to die!", Stevens begs on the call that lasted 22 minutes. "I can't swim! I'm scared! I'm going to drown!"The dispatcher, Donna Reneau, who was working her final shift after giving her notice two weeks earlier according to the Fort Smith Police Department, replied flippantly telling her authorities will get there when they get there and that she's not going to die, at one point telling her to "shut up."As the water slowly filled Stevens' SUV, she responded: "I'm scared. I've never had anything happen to me like this before."Stevens pleaded for help and prayer but received a lecture: "Well this will teach you, next time don't drive in the water," Reneau responds. "I don't see how you didn't see it, you had to go right over it, so."Authorities responded to the scene 12 minutes after she dialed 911, but because of the floodwaters, it took more than an hour to reach Stevens' vehicle -- and by the time police and firefighters were able to secure the car, Stevens had drowned.Fort Smith Interim Police Chief Danny Baker described Reneau's response as "calloused and uncaring at times" in a statement, but he added to KHBS that she did nothing "criminally wrong" nor "violated policy.""I completely understand the disgust and the concern that we all have," Baker said. "We all hope that we would get a little better response."911 dispatcher lectures drowning woman moments before she died FULL AUDIO True Crime Podcast 2023 Police Interrogations, 911 Calls and True Police Stories Podcast

Some Very Unusual Nicknames of Infamous Serial Killers - How Did They Get Their Names And What Do They Mean? Most serial killers and murderers have really obvious nicknames; such as Myra Hindley & Ian Brady who were dubbed "The Moor's Murderers", having murdered their victims on the Yorkshire Moors. However, there are times that a ripper is dubbed The Ripper even though he rarely ripped, The Strangler even though more often than not they shot, and The Cannibal even though (yes, they may have nibbled on a few choice morsels of leg, tongue or - if the mood took them - winkle, but) most days their cooking pot contained little more than cauliflower cheese. Nicknames are often dreamed up by bored tabloid editors looking for a way to lure in a fresh audience for a salacious story, which is always easier to do if they give a faceless killer an grisly yet headline grabbing nom-de-plume. SLet's look at some of these killers and the reason behind their infamous nicknames. Some Very Unusual Nicknames of Infamous Serial Killers True Crime Podcast 2023 Police Interrogations, 911 Calls and True Police Stories Podcast

Arkansas Police Impersonator's Arrest Recorded By His Own Body Camera CREEPYOn February 8, 2019 at 1:56 pm while traveling on South Pine Street in Cabot, Arkansas, Detective David Dillon of the Lonoke County Sheriff's Office observed a black Dodge Ram activate green, red, and yellow emergency lights. The vehicle then began driving in the center turn lane at "approximate speeds of 90 miles per hour," passing several cars recklessly. On the rear window of the truck was a sticker reading "Caution: Working K9,” and the front of the truck was equipped with a push bumper. Detective Dillon initiated a traffic stop, was joined by some of his colleagues, and this is what happened — as captured on the body worn camera of Jeremy Kurck.“There were visor lights that were red and green in color. There were also several antennas on top of the vehicle. I made contact with the driver who was identified as Mr. Jeremy Kurck. I observed a badge around his neck as well as a body worn camera. I asked Mr. Kurck to turn on the lights to see if there were any blue lights attached to his truck. Mr. Kurck turned on the lights and I observed a dash camera and a mounted radar that is identical to the ones we use in our emergency vehicles.”“During a vehicle tow inventory of the truck there were also several other items inside that resembled law enforcement equipment as well. Those items were several pairs on hand cuffs, expandable baton and holder, a taser with the warning label that says may cause death or serious physical injury, a seat organizer like we use, a flashlight, pepper spray, bear spray, a radio that had our dispatch channel programmed inside it, and a portable breath test for determining blood alcohol content.”“Mr. Kurck was dressed in tan tactical pants and black polo which is extremely similar to the uniform that we wear at the Sheriff's Office. Mr. Kurck stated that he is a civil process server and was headed to the high school to serve a civil paper. Mr. Kurck stated he works for himself but this was his first paper to serve. Mr. Kurck was convicted of aggravated assault in 2008 and isn't allowed to serve civil process papers in the State of Arkansas. Mr. Kurck stated that he worked for ADEM. After checking with ADEM it was learned that Mr. Kurck was only an amateur radio operator for them. ADEM requested that we seize the radio and his ADEM identification card.”“The vehicle was towed to the Lonoke County Sheriff's Office for further investigation and Mr. Kurck was transported to the Lonoke County Detention. Since Mr. Kurck's arrest, the Lonoke County Sheriff's Office has received information from some Central Arkansas Law Enforcement Agencies and citizens that this individual has been making contact with the public as a law enforcement officer.”After publicizing Kurck's arrest, the Lonoke County Sheriff's Office asked the public to let them know if they had encountered Kurck impersonating a police officer. In response, the Sheriff's Office received numerous emails from members of the public and members of law enforcement regarding their encounters with Not-Officer Kurck.
