SEASON 2 PREMIERE№ 1  Al Kingsley, NetSupportMy guest for today is Al Kingsley who is an EdTech thought leader and disruptor, author, and CEO of the company NetSupport, which has been providing technology solutions for education for more than 30 years. In this wide ranging conversation Al and I discuss:What priorities schools should continue to look at as we come out of the pandemic and enter a new normal, including social and mental health issues, implementing what we know works in EdTech, and understanding knowledge vs skills in what we're delivering for learners. Why priorities and challenges change not only globally, but also from city to city and neighborhood to neighborhood - and why tech is (almost) never the answer and not the main actor on the stage in learning. The ephemeral nature of content, software and hardware and how Al recommends you create a strategy around this to turn a potential negative into a positive. How technology has not only allow us to reach audiences that were usually not involved in the education process (like unengaged parents) but also presents the challenge of ensuring we keep learners safe. Why you should always push for innovation, but only when you have validation and buy-in for the solution you're going to implement. And why signposting experts is a great strategy for adoption and success. We end our conversation talking about how the success and failure of teaching, when all is said and done, is still massively dependent upon the relationship between the learners and the teacher… and why we need to focus now more than ever on supporting them.~

Fear and trembling have beset me; horror has overwhelmed me, I said, “Oh, that I had the wings of a dove! I would fly away and be at rest.Psalm 55:4-6 (NIV)  Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Find a bigger God. The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked advance against me to devour me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.Psalm 27:1-3 (NIV) 2. Maintain a broader Perspective.  When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise — in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me.Psalm 56:3-4 (NIV) The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice.Proverbs 12:15 (NIV) 3. Decide who you are living for (Hint: Yourself won't work). Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.Psalm 23:6 (NIV) But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. In this week's episode, we have Igor Tchkotoua, of legendary techno duo, Pig&Dan. Pig&Dan have played the major festivals like Ultra, Tomorrowland and Awakenings, shows at Hi Ibiza with Eric Prydz, Crowbar Buenos Aires, to Womb Tokyo. They started their own label, Elevate, back in 2016 and while Igor has played music all around the world for 20+ years, this is the first time he's had the opportunity to be home for an extended amount of time and focus on other parts of his life that he couldn't while touring.I've had the pleasure of getting to know Igor on a personal level over this last year and a half and I'm grateful to him for being so open about his journey to recovery, what truly excites him these days and how his priorities have shifted over the past year.   Guest: Igor Tchkotoua - IG: https://www.instagram.com/igortchk/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/piganddan/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/piganddanWebsite: http://www.piganddan.comSpotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/04jj7dljPI0ixtNsz2pXWK?si=14PkQruURKuaR0zly2RmAQSoundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/pig-and-danTwitter: https://twitter.com/piganddan?s=20Host: Clarissa Cardenas - IG: https://www.instagram.com/atxconcertqueen/Website: http://www.theconcertqueen.com Make sure to tune in every Wednesday for a new episode of the “Concert Queen Connect” and make sure to ‘like' and ‘subscribe' to our channel:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbNiyZMWKbK2pH4J2rdj69Q?sub_confirmation=1Listen to our podcast:Apple: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/concert-queen-connect/id1538535270Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/6y3m5SLW5CnBvBpvh7cXgT?si=dN1Vlr9eQf2diQFrPIffugThank you to our sponsor for this episode, Twelve Rivers Productions, and hit them up for any of your production studio needs! http://www.twelveriversproductions.comProducer: Steve Souza (http://www.souzamedia.com) IG : @the.souz
