We look at the new Pixel Buds Pro 2, the most recent iteration of their evolving ear buds series. Pixel Buds Pro 2 reviewed Here comes the latest version, how different will they be? How good will the noise cancelling be, especially now that some other types we have reviewed recently have really raised the level in terms of what you can now come to expect. How is the price relative to other options out there? Our testers had enjoyed the previous two iterations of the buds, so they were certainly interested. The snaggy, hooked ear holders are absent. Instead you have a range of mini 'black tyres' to adjust where needed. That said our testers were happy from the get go and felt that the size that they came with did the job perfectly well. They are light, fit well, and don't seem inclined to fall out, so maybe we have all, users and designers, been over thinking the whole will it fit issue. They are described and water and sweat resistant. With the first you never really want to deeply try this, and the second, after a moment of ick sensation, you realise it is not something you ever deeply thought about. As always you are reluctant to truly trash something to see if it is actually true or not. Therefore our testers slightly sat on the fence for this one. Switching in and out of the sound mode is near instant and not too clunky, so that works well. Overall our testers felt these were pretty good, not crazily expensive, especially with some of the deals on various large scale selling platforms. As always one of the interesting factors will be how quickly they charge, and retain their charge a year or more down the road but this is impossible to know for now. It seems like a solid evolution of the design, and they do sound good, stay in your ear well, and hopefully we will continue to not lose them at our end. A thumbs up from our testers. Pixel Buds Pro 2 are designed to be the most comfortable and secure-fitting earbuds. They were designed using 45 million data points from ear scans to come up with the optimal shape for maximum comfort and a secure fit. Combined with the new Tensor A1 chip, we were further able to reduce the size by 27% as well as make them lighter while increasing performance and battery life. Twist-to-adjust stabilizer for adaptable fit during exercise. Use the twist-to-adjust stabilizer when you're exercising to lock your Pixel Buds Pro 2 securely in your ear, or adjust in the other direction for all-day comfort. The first Tensor chip in an earbud. The Tensor A1 chip was built for advanced audio processing and Google AI. It processes audio 90 times faster than the speed of sound to adapt to you and your environment, cancels twice as much noise, and helps deliver clear calls. Silent Seal 2.0 cancels twice as much noise. Active Noise Cancellation with Silent Seal 2.0 adapts to your environment up to 3 million times per second, and adapts to your ear to cancel up to twice as much noise as before. By expanding the frequency range, Silent Seal 2.0 also cancels a wider range of noises, including even higher frequencies. Upgraded acoustic architecture for premium sound. Pixel Buds Pro 2 have large 11 mm drivers for powerful bass and a new highfrequency chamber for smooth treble. Multi-path processing on the Tensor A1 chip adds an additional signal path for music. This allows it to bypass the Silent Seal processing chain to deliver unaltered, pure sound to the speaker drivers. Improved Clear Calling. Clear Calling on Pixel reduces the noise around the person on the other side of the call, enhancing their voice so you can hear them even more clearly. For example, when your friend is on the subway, you'll hear them clearly through your Pixel Buds Pro 2, no matter which phone and earbuds they use. This year, updated algorithms reduce noise in even more settings. No more taking out earbuds to talk. With Conversation Detection, Pixel Buds Pro 2 use AI to tell when you start speaking. Your music gets paused and the earbuds switch to Transparency mode. When the conversation ends, the music resumes automatically, going back to Active Noise Cancellation without you taking any action. More precise location tracking for your earbuds and case. Pixel Buds Pro 2 support the new Find My Device network, so you can find your earbuds' precise location on a map. Do uší jsme si zatlačili nová sluchátka Google Buds Pro 2, Kuba přimontuje k 3D tiskárně GPIO Board od Prusa Research a Tomášovi jsme „rozbili“ jeho chytré hodinky s GPT-4o.Dnes to prostě bude hodně ukazovací! A dodatečně ještě jedno doplnění k dronu. Kuba si už s ním zalétal, a byť ve videu zazní, že letouny s jednoosým gimbalem nejsou moc vhodné na fotky (neumí korigovat natočení letounu do boku), nakonec to docela šlo a Neo pořídil hezky zarovnané snímky. Google heeft de Pixel 9-smartphones onthuld en daarbij de nadruk gelegd op tal van AI-features. Dat is een directe aanval op de proposities van Apple en OpenAI, legt Joe van Burik uit in deze Tech Update. Google's Pixel 9 komt in vier uitvoeringen: de reguliere, de Pro-versie met meer rekenkracht en helderheid, de Pro XL die een groter scherm heeft én de Fold, waarmee Google voor het eerst ook in ons land een vouwtelefoon op de markt brengt. In alle toestellen zit de nieuwste generatie van Google's eigen chip met minimaal 12 GB werkgeheugen, onder meer voor AI-toepassingen, veelal onder de noemer Gemini. Tijdens de 'Made by Google'-presentatie werd een live demo uitgevoerd die de eerste twee keer mislukte, maar de derde keer wist Gemini op verzoek van de presentator toch de correlatie te leggen tussen data op een gefotografeerde poster en de agenda van de gebruikers. Ook liet Google zien hoe je een min of meer natuurlijk gesprek kunt voeren met Gemini Live, zoals je dat met ChatGPT kan doen, en screenshots op je telefoon kunt doorzoeken. Ook kun je op de Pixels 9 AI gebruiken om foto's op allerlei manieren nog mooier te maken, met als geinigste feature dat je jezelf in een foto erbij kunt zetten nadat jij 'm genomen hebt. Vanaf 22 augustus, dus volgende week, zijn de Pixel 9 en Pro XL verkrijgbaar, de rest volgt in september. Het is nog wel even afwachten hoe goed al die AI-functies bij ons werken, want van sommige zegt Google in de kleine lettertjes dat alleen Engels ondersteund wordt. Ook komt Google met een nieuwe smartwatch, de Pixel Watch 3, en nieuwe oortjes in de vorm van de Pixel Buds Pro 2.
