What You Need to Know is that there has been a shift in this country away from free-market monopolies, the domination of big business and globalists. Monopolistic and globalist economies are not true free markets. Traditionally, Republicans were hard-line free marketers to a fault, allowing the globalists to rise. Trump put a stop to this by decisively putting forward tariffs, improving American terms of trade, and proved that it would not implode the economy. Michael Waller, senior analyst for strategy at the Center for Security Policy and president of Georgetown Research and author of Big Intel: How the CIA and FBI Went from Cold War Heroes to Deep State Villains, published by Regnery Publishing, joins Ed once again to talk about the impact of his book. Big Intel has had a serious grassroots impact, even on people on the inside of intelligence agencies. Ed and Michael also discuss the targeting of conservative Catholics by the FBI. Katherine Novikov is the Executive Director of the Diamond Mind Foundation. The mission of the small family foundation is to help people see without distortion. Ed and Katherine talk about the burgeoning cult of inclusion taking over our institutions, which flies in the face of the meritocracy that makes America great. Exclusion is necessary, inclusion leads to rot. Wrap Up: Sources to follow this week, plus - a consideration on Trump.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
About this week's guest: Dr. Sebastian Gorka is a Talk Show Host on the Salem Radio Network Platform, and began his show AMERICA FIRST on New Years Day, 2019. With parents who had lived as children under fascism and then escaped Communist Hungary, Sebastian was raised to love freedom. And his love of talk-radio developed early. As a child he would listen late into the night to the shows of the London Broadcasting Company with a small transistor radio under his pillow. It was with this special family background, and growing up under the influence of Margaret Thatcher, that Sebastian learned how to fight totalitarian ideologies, be they Fascism, Communism, or Global Jihadism. He would end up serving in the British Army reserve in a Military Intelligence unit, then after the fall of the Berlin Wall, in the first freely-elected Conservative administration in Hungary. The after the 9/11 attacks he became a professor on a Pentagon-funded counter-terrorism program run out of Germany. In 2008 he moved to America with his family where he continued to work for the Defense Department and become a proud American citizen in 2012. He obtained his doctorate in Political Science from Corvinus University in Budapest and was a fellow at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. In Washington, he served as Associate Dean for Congressional Affairs and Relations to the Special Operations Community at National Defense University and has also taught on the Masters program at Georgetown University. In 2020, President Donald Trump named Gorka to the National Security Education Board. This board provides strategic consultation and was established by congressional act in 1991.Dr. Gorka has briefed the CIA, the DIA, the US Navy Seals, the Commandant of the Marine Corps, served as an expert for the DoJ during the Boston Bombing trial, and testified before Congress on the threat of Global Jihadism. He remains a guest instructor at the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School, at Fort Bragg, the home of the Green Berets.Gorka writes for The Hill and has written two books for Regnery Publishing. His first “Defeating Jihad,” was a national best-seller and his latest, released in October, is called “Why We Fight…Defeating America's Enemies with No Apologies.” Before launching his SALEM show, “AMERICA FIRST with Sebastian Gorka,” he was an advisor to candidate Donald J. Trump and served on the staff of the White House in 2017 as Deputy Assistant to the President for Strategy.Support the show✅Support The Show Help Us Grow! Why has Martin Luther King Jr.'s vision of a color-blind society suffered so many recent setbacks? Classical philosopher Andre Archie argues that we need to bring back King's vision, and points to the ways the Classical ideas of virtues can inform our modern understanding of virtue as separate from race. Along the way, the conversation covers recent events such as Claudine Gay's dismissal from Harvard, diversity training and DEI, and the ways in which the Black tradition is an integral part of the Western Tradition. Dr. Andre Archie is an associate Professor of Ancient Greek Philosophy at Colorado State University, who specializes in the History of Ancient Greek Philosophy and Ancient Greek Political Philosophy. He is the author of The Virtue of Color-Blindness (Regnery Publishing, 2024). His op-eds include "We should fight for a color-blind society — not one separated by race" and "What Makes the Classics Worth Studying," referenced at the end of the episode as responding to concerns about ridding the Classics of 'white-ness.'

What You Need to Know is that one of the great lawfare attacks in recent history was an attack on General Mike Flynn regarding the Foreign Agent Registration Act (FARA). Generally, political actors maneuver their way around FARA to avoid red tape, but they went after General Flynn regardless. Now, though, the Cravath Law Firm has now registered themselves under FARA… 8 years after they should have registered. They will get away with this because of their connections to the Biden crime family business. Our rule of law demands that there must be fair and even enforcement of laws, and this is an example of how blatantly the powers that be will turn a blind eye towards FARA violations when their friends are doing it. Nan Su is a Senior Investigative Journalist at the Epoch Times who specializes in reporting on China and contributed to the Epoch film ‘The Final War.' Nan brings Ed a status update on the tensions between China and the Philippines. Because the Philippines allowed the United States to open up military bases near Taiwan, China is ramping up the aggression. Tony Lyons, president and publisher at Skyhorse Publishing, joins the program to talk about YouTube censoring videos about RFK Jr.'s run. Trump isn't the only victim of election interference! They are taking down political views they disagree with from any direction. Plus, Tony talks about his acquisition of Regnery Publishing, a staple in the conservative book world. Wrap Up: The big question before the courts right now is how far criminal liability goes for the President. Is it different? President Trump clarified the heart of the matter, stating that you can't start criminalizing the actions of the President because the entire system will break down… but if you can, Biden should start facing charges too.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Mary, the author of Feminism Against Progress, shares how the birth of her daughter radically changed her view of feminism and why she now describes women's liberation as more of an economic transition than “progress.” Mary purports that this so-called progress no longer benefits the majority of women, and only a feminist that is skeptical of it can truly defend their interests in the twenty-first century. Thanks to our faithful donors, we are able to provide food, housing, healthcare, education, fresh water, emergency relief, micro-enterprise solutions and much more. We are proud to have fed millions of people and provided more than 15.7 billion dollars in aid. Our faith inspires us to be an organization built on compassion, and motivated by love. Our mission is to bring relief to the poorest of the poor in the countries where we serve. We strive to reflect God's unconditional love. It's a sacrificial love that embraces all people regardless of race or religion. We believe that we can show His love by serving the “least of these” on this earth as Christ challenged us to do in Matthew 25. We pray that by God's grace, and with your support, we can continue to bring relief to the suffering and hope to the hopeless. -------------------------------------------------------- Disclaimer from ACU. A 2013 Jerusalem Post profile stated that, “Within Evangelical Christian circles, Stakelbeck is considered by many to be the leading authority” on the issues of national security and the Middle East. In February 2016, Stakelbeck launched “The Watchman” show on TBN, joining the world's largest Christian television network with America's largest pro-Israel organization, CUFI, to produce a hard-hitting weekly, 30-minute newsmagazine focusing on Israel, America and the Middle East. The program airs every Thursday night at 11:30 pm EST on TBN and is seen worldwide. From 2005 to 2015, Stakelbeck was a correspondent, host and terrorism analyst for CBN News, covering the global war on terror, U.S. national security, the Middle East and the growth of radical Islam at home and abroad for the network's Washington, D.C. bureau. His second book was released by Regnery in July 2013. The “Brotherhood: America's Next Great Enemy” warns about the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood and the global Islamist movement. His third book with Regnery, “ISIS Exposed: Beheadings, Slavery and the Hellish Reality of Radical Islam,” was released on March 9, 2015. Conservatism needs to be rediscovered. That is, it needs to be differentiated from the post WWII concept of liberal democracy and return to its traditional three pillars of religion, nationalism, and economic growth. And it needs to be thought of as Anglo-American conservatism, rooted in the tradition of the English Constitution going back to such thinkers as John Fortescue (c. 1394 –1479) and John Selden (1584 –1654). We need to be a God-fearing nation, with nation and religion at the center of our national belief system. We must live conservative lives. These are some of the arguments made by the political theorist and public intellectual Yoram Hazony in his 2022 book Conservatism: A Rediscovery (Regnery Publishing, 2022). It is a provocative book that even many conservatives may take issue with. For example, Hazony puts a great deal of emphasis on the importance of hierarchy both within the family and in society at large. Given that a good deal of the rationale of right-wing thinking in recent years has been predicated on the necessity for non-violent rebellion against the establishment in the Republican party and the left-wing dominance of academia, Hazony's arguments may not be embraced by large swaths of the right. But to get conservatives and those on the right who do not identify as such thinking about what they stand for, what they want and how to get it is one of the goals of the book. It succeeds. To those who might blanch at the embrace of religion in the public sphere, Hazony argues that for all intents and purposes the increasingly powerful political philosophy woke neo-Marxism is itself a religion. Hazony criticizes the right for acquiescing in the relegation of traditional religion to the private sphere. He argues robustly for religion, particularly Christianity, to serve as a countervailing force to wokeism. In the face of a progressive order that leaves people in the position of being unable to distinguish between a man and a woman, Hazony advocates for such measures as ending the ban on the Bible and God in the public school classroom. This is a full-throated defense of conservatism and is, therefore, must reading for those on all sides of the political spectrum. Hazony addresses the need for the idea of a nation, its cohesion, and its inherited traditions. For that, he says, you need conservatism. And by conservatism, he means a public conservatism, a public traditionalism in those places where there is a majority that will support it. Hazony maintains that our culture must support parents and congregations in the work of the transmission of values that ensure respect for tradition, nation and hierarchy. This book is a substantive intellectual history of conservative thought and profiles significant figures in the conservative movement (e.g., William F. Buckley, Frank Meyer, Russell Kirk). It is also a clarion call for those who claim to be conservatives to live genuinely conservative lives. Hazony urges conservatives to stand up for principles like the public acknowledgment of God and such core values as the honor due parents by their adult children, loyalty within marriage, and observance of the sabbath. In the Hazony version of conservatism, all ten of the Ten Commandments ought to be the basis for our country's social and political life. He includes in his book a memoir of his days at Princeton University in the 1980s, where a campus culture of loose living and rampant drinking led him to seek out a life of faith and family. College students of today and their parents would do well to read this moving chronicle of a young person surrounded by decadence who escapes its ravages via a solid marriage and a return to traditional religion. Let's hear from Mr. Hazony about his book and the path forward for conservatives and America itself. Hope J. Leman is a grants researcher. Learn more about your ad choices. David joins us today to discuss his latest book and discern whether Carl's accent is authentic, wholly contrived, or simply unnecessary. The goal of The Resurrected Jesus: The Church in the New Testament, co-authored with daughter Christen Limbaugh Bloom, is to draw readers closer to Jesus by focusing on the Savior's intimate friends and their epistles to the Church. In the process, we learn that many of the struggles of the early Church are similar to those Christians encounter today. To get in the running to win a copy of The Resurrected Jesus, enter here. According to political philosopher Ryan T. Anderson and journalist Alexandra DeSantis, abortion harms everything it touches. It is an act of lethal violence against a child and leaves many women with lifelong regret and feelings of guilt and loss. Far from empowering women, abortion has reduced privileged women to serving as economic drudges to abortion-friendly corporations. “Pro-choice” culture pressures poor and minority women to regard abortion as liberating and presents childbearing as against their interests. These are some of the arguments in Anderson and DeSanctis' book, Tearing Us Apart: How Abortion Harms Everything and Solves Nothing (Regnery Publishing, 2022). This is an unabashedly pro-life book. It portrays abortion—from what happens to the child and mother during an abortion to the way that the pro-abortion jurisprudence of the Roe Era of 1973-2022 led even supposedly conservative Supreme Court justices to misread the Constitution. The authors argue that pro-abortion legal arguments have ranged from calling the child in the womb “a potential life” and treating abortion as a mostly medical issue and privacy matter (in Roe) and then an economic justice and gender equality issue (in Planned Parenthood v. Casey) to now a matter of convenience sans any moral discussion at all. The book makes clear why millions of pro-life activists spent decades fighting to end Roe and how they are now gearing up to assist the mothers and children who will face life together in a post-Roe world. The authors call for the entire country to pull together to create a pro-life, pro-family society in which the laws governing abortion or outlawing it entirely have now been returned to the states and the people. Today we will talk to one of the co-authors of the book, Alexandra DeSanctis. Give a listen. Hope J. Leman is a grants researcher. Learn more about your ad choices.
