Nadege Corcoran After losing a large amount of weight following her transition to a whole-food, plant-based diet, Nadege knew she needed to transition from her extremely sedentary lifestyle (which had brought on a series of health concerns), to an active lifestyle. She joined a CrossFit gym and started Olympic weightlifting. She was deadlifting 200 pounds on her small frame and was still hearing from others, "You'd lift more if you ate meat". Instead of arguing with people in the gym, she decided to just SHOW THEM that she could build her body with plants. She discovered the sport of bodybuilding, and won local, regional, and provincial shows in her native Canada. She qualified for Nationals and has been a vegan competitive national athlete for over 5 years. Nadege never weight trained before becoming vegan, so her success as a nationally competitive vegan bodybuilder has been fueled by plants. Her journey is one of compassion for animals, but also for humans.
