[EP 25-123] Big problems usually have simple answers. That's not just an observation—it's a law of nature. From gravity to economics, the most profound truths are often the most simple. Einstein knew this. His genius wasn't in overcomplicating the universe but in stripping it down to its essence. His revelation that light had mass and could be bent didn't emerge from bureaucratic consensus or academic gatekeeping—it came from a man who dared to ask questions that others refused to.Yet today, we live in an era where simplicity is treated as heresy. The ruling class—Leftist academics, activist judges, and media elites—loathe straightforward solutions because clarity exposes their lies. They thrive in complexity, in obfuscation, in deliberate confusion. Why? Because if the answers are simple, their power evaporates.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-kevin-jackson-show--2896352/support.

Kelly here, hi. I am reposting this podcast this week because I simply do not know what else to do. After a mass shooting, that ended in 7 people (including 3 children) dead, just down the road from my home in Nashville this week, I do not have the words yet to talk about this again. Many of my close friends and specifically their children were greatly impacted by this shooting and to say that brings this issue being in your backyard brings it to the forefront of your mind is an understatement. I will be back to discuss more of what that is like at some point in the future, but in the meantime, I'm begging you all-no matter where you stand politically- put it to the side. This is bigger than your ego or own personal feelings. This is our children's lives, safety and freedom. Listen to this podcast, take the actionable steps, compromise and try to work together. If we can't unite over innocent children dying, we are further fucked than I even imagined. Sending love and healing energy to everyone in Nashville right now.  ------ Retired US Army Veteran, gun owner and gun violence survivor, Melody McFadden, joins Kelly and Chip to simplify the conversation about gun laws and gun violence.   "I don't want your guns, because I don't want to give you my guns."   Melody tells the stories of loss she has faced at the hands of unsafe gun use and also how simple it could be to make those moments safe.   On the date this was recorded in mid June, 3,599 people in America had been shot and killed since the mass shooting in Uvalde, TX on May 24.   "You have to get a driver's license to drive a car, why shouldn't we have safety measures about owning guns?"   Melody is full of love, faith and helpful small action steps we can all take to make our country a safe place to live.   Website: everytown.org    See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Carlos tells us about growing up in the south Florida hardcore scene and his first punk rock show. Robyn talks about the Agnostic Front/Sick of it All show she attended the previous evening, including the sweaty hugs she got from Lou and Pete Koller. The crew also discuss their love of the Misfits and their journeys in law enforcement. Roger and Carlos tell us about their vegan lifestyles and the challenges they face with it while being cops. You really feel the vegan bromance listening to Roger and Carlos talk about it. The crew then complain about being old and not going in the pit anymore at shows. They also briefly discuss their crush on Chris Carrabba and Dashboard Confessional. The trio closes out the episode with their underrated band picks. "You have to get a driver's license to drive a car, why shouldn't we have safety measures about owning guns?"  Melody is full of love, faith and helpful small action steps we can all take to make our country a safe place to live.  Website:everytown.org Text BOLD to 644-33 See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The stalk is over. Clarky conquers the Everest of podcast guests and puts the final boarding call for Dr Richard Denniss on the next plane to Tassie. Simple answers to simple questions; Richard has made it his life work to break down the spin and call bullshit where it lands. The National conversation about economics has done plenty to disenfranchise the average worker from big decisions. Unnecessarily big words and jargon have made solving and participating in finding solutions space for a small group. Richard wants this to change and for more Australians to have more agency in meaningful conversations. In Economics, we often run into "econobabble"… nonsense, bullshit and spin. It's all's the same, on tv, in the crib shed, in the boardroom or down at the Local; If you can't get a simple answer to a simple question, it's more than likely blullshit The big problem is, If you can throw in enough industry jargon, a bullshit answer becomes a slightly believable explanation. Richard seeks an Australia that can spot the nonsense and call it accordingly. Beyond Australia's choices in the broader economy and fresh after the election, it's time to examine the role of government. The Governments size and how that shapes Australia is the topic of Richard's new book (essay) "Big - The Role of the State in the Modern Economy",...a must read Find more of Richard's work at The Australia Institute.

You just have to allow for it.   In this episode, I am talking about why people overlook the simple answers when things get challenging or complicated. I'll look at how to approach challenges with a feminine flow mindset, how to determine if a decision or opportunity is in alignment, and why life can be easier if you let it be.    “There is shadow work. There are depths and aspects of yourself that you're going to have to sort through and you're going to have to reprogram. And that's okay. But to what extent do we continue to tell the story that life is hard and challenging? Life gets easier when you let it be.”   What we covered: Why challenges are valued How to tap into your feminine energy What will help get you back into alignment Why there is still opportunity in wrong decisions Finding the simplest solution   ------------------------ If you loved this episode, screenshot it and share it in your Stories (and tag me @carissajohnsen), or head to Apple Podcasts and leave a review!
