In this festive episode, we're joined by Nat, a political consultant, data processor, and lifelong fan of the Home Alone franchise [https://www.facebook.com/smalltownsouthernman]. Together, we take a nostalgic journey through the unforgettable moments and iconic elements that make Home Alone a beloved holiday classic. We begin with the mastermind himself, Kevin McCallister, and his ingenious ability to transform ordinary houses into elaborate traps. From paint cans on strings to tar-covered stairs, Kevin's creativity in setting up staged houses to fend off burglars showcases the charm and humor of the series. His ability to turn the odds in his favor captures the spirit of resourcefulness and youthful rebellion.Next, we dive into the core plot of Home Alone, where Kevin is accidentally left behind by his family during Christmas. The heartwarming yet comedic story unfolds as Kevin learns to enjoy his independence, all while defending his home from the bumbling burglars Harry and Marv. It's a timeless tale of family, resilience, and the holiday spirit. Then we shift to Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, where Kevin takes his adventures to the bustling streets of Manhattan. The sequel ups the stakes as Kevin navigates the big city with his signature wit, all while once again facing off against Harry and Marv, now known as the Sticky Bandits. The combination of Kevin's cleverness and the chaos of New York City makes for a wildly entertaining continuation of his story. Finally, we discuss the ultimate defeats of the Sticky Bandits in both movies. Harry and Marv, despite their persistence, are hilariously outwitted time and again by Kevin's relentless traps. Their slapstick misfortunes, from slipping on ice to being hit by bricks, have become some of the most iconic moments in comedy history. This episode is a celebration of Home Alone as a franchise that has defined holiday entertainment for generations. Nat's insights and enthusiasm remind us why Kevin's adventures and the antics of the Sticky Bandits continue to warm hearts and evoke laughter every Christmas season.Want to be a guest on MC Anime Podcast? What's up, dudes? I'm once again joined by my brother Danny to talk all about the sequel to one of the best Christmas movies ever! Yep, it's “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York”! It was a blatant cash grab from the studio. Of course, it has a phenomenal Christmas musical score, composed by the great John Williams! And who doesn't love even more over-the-top Looney Tunes-style comedy? Kevin McCallister's family is preparing to go to Florida for Christmas. When Buzz humiliates precocious little Kevin at their Christmas concert, his acting out causes his parents to banish him to the attic. One little blackout and downed phone line later, and Kevin is almost left home alone again! Luckily, he makes it to the airport. Unfortunately, he gets on the wrong plane and lands in New York City! Kevin checks into a hotel and lives it up on his dad's credit cards. The plot really kicks into gear when the Wet—no, Sticky—Bandits escape from prison and plan to rob a local toy store. With all his cunning and ingenuity–and spunk–Kevin defends his uncle's house with traps and snares, and ensures the capture of the rogues! And there's a cool pigeon lady! This one's got it all, especially quotes! My brother and I can't help ourselves! Paint cans? Check. Electrocution? Yup. Spending $967 on room service? Definitely! So grab your bricks, dip your rope in kerosene, and defend a toy store with this episode on “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York!” Dig it! Give us a buzz! Send a text, dudes!Check us out on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Totally Rad Christmas Mall & Arcade, Teepublic.com, or TotallyRadChristmas.com! Later, dudes!

In this extra-special landmark 50th episode, the Fess Girls do what they promised several episodes ago and deliver a special episode in which they discuss how many traps in Home Alone 1 (1990), Home Alone 2 (1992), and The Parent Trap (1998) would have killed their victims. In doing so they discover that Marv is the ultimate human punching bag, the Sticky Bandits probably have superhuman durability, Kevin does, without a shadow of a doubt, become John Kramer aka Jigsaw, and Kevin McCallister & Hallie Parker are the deadliest OTP there ever was. On our final episode of 2022, the gang welcomes Chelsea Jupin back to the show to chat about the beloved, Christmas cookie-cutter sequel, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York! How successful of an arms dealer must Uncle Rob McCallister be to afford this Upper West Side townhouse? Would it have been a better movie if the hotel staff entirely replaced the Sticky Bandits? Why couldn't they mix up the story a little bit so it's not just a carbon copy of part one set in NYC? And what's with that Uncle Frank crotch comment? PLUS: Snooty UWS residents band together Spider-Man-style to fight the holiday evil that is Kevin McCallister! Home Alone 2: Lost in New York stars Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, Catherine O'Hara, John Heard, Kieran Culkin, Tim Curry, Brenda Fricker, Eddie Bracken, Dana Ivey, Sweet Robbie Schneider, and Gerry Bamman as Uncle Frank; directed by Chris Columbus. Fold in the Cheese: Your Recipe for Fantasy Football Success
Check Harry and Marv HERE No we aren't talking the wet bandits here, we are talking the Sticky Bandits! That's right, Marv and Harry are back and still looking for that true calling card. Week 15 had some WILD moments, as the Vikings put the Colts through their own house of horrors with the biggest comeback in NFL history, the Patriots gift wrapped the Raiders a win as Mac Jones got a paint can to the face courtesy of Chandler Jones, and the Cowboys got robbed by the Jags with those pesky cats picking 6 toys from Gimbels and running all the way to the endzone (see what we did there?). We do another edition of Blind resumes and this time we try to stay away from the "big" names and see who is shocking people the last 4 weeks. Can Kemper make sense of it? Also, fantasy playoffs are here and already a week deep for some of you, so we give you some ever so important waiver claims as some big injuries and throwing bricks into people's plans. Order up some room service, feed the pigeons and take a good long listen!
Kevin McCallister has been separated from his family for the second year in a row (but really, the movies came out 2 years apart). This time Kevin winds up in a magical land beyond the seven levels of the candy cane forest, past the castle of the abominable snowman, past the sea of swirly, twirly gumdrops and through the Lincoln Tunnel: New York City! Fortunately Kevin is equipped with a perfect device for a lil stinker, a Talkboy with a voice changer. And of course, because he's the eternally resourceful Kevin McCallister, he is able to use this device to book a suite at the world-renowned Plaza Hotel, New York's most exciting hotel experience. He's also able to record hard evidence on the crimes of the escaped convicts, Harry and Marv, now calling themselves The Sticky Bandits. This ep is packed with lots of fun 1992 talk, and we get into Disney's The Jungle Book, getting a Sega Genesis for Christmas, hockey, school cafeteria lunches, Sunkist vs. Fanta Orange soda, finding out the truth about the Big Guy in Red, and lots more! We are on the push to Christmas and we kick things off with the 1992 sequel to "Home Alone", "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York" starring Macaulay Culkin. We feel this is the stronger of the Home Alone movies. The traps against the Wet (aka Sticky) Bandits are more sinister and fuckin brutal. And the stakes are even higher as Kevin tries to survive being the offspring to two such unfitting parents. We talk booby traps and how improbable and confusing things in these movies are. What is the travesty of Home Alone? How long does it take to set up and clean up the traps? Was Kevin propositioned by a prostitute? Does it smell like freedom or fish? Did Kevin actually plot for the second movie? Can you see through closed curtains? Since I've been a little bit light on the content lately, and because this stuff cut from our conversation is so good, I decided to release this bonus content (usually only available on patreon) as a follow up to the last new episode! This also helps put some things from that episode into context. I don't edit this stuff as heavily as I do the main content, so you get more pregnant pauses, more "likes", "uhs", and "you knows", and what not, but that means you also get the actual conversation and not what I've edited it into! If you're not already a supporter, there is plenty more of this from my other episodes, so I do appreciate those of you who check it out (and especially those of you who already support! Merry Christmas ya filthy animal! Again! Yes, "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York" retreads almost every memorable thing from the original holiday classic, just in a different location. Plus Tim Curry! The McCallister family is back again, including Cheapskate Uncle Frank, future felon Buzz and, of course, Macaulay Culkin as Kevin McCallister. Rather than being left home alone, Kevin follows the wrong dude onto an airplane (still plausible in this day-and-age, by the way, assuming the gate attendants are as incompetent as the fine American Airline employees depicted here). His family heads to Florida, and Kevin goes to New York, and guess what?! You're never going to believe this but, yes, the Wet Bandits Harry and Marv are ALSO in New York (now known as the Sticky Bandits), and, look, this is going to blow your mind... they have multiple run-ins with Kevin! What?! How?! What a small world! If you were a kid when the original "Home Alone" came out, chances are you also loved this sequel. Because it's the SAME MOVIE! Now with more murderous booby traps. Home Alone 2 Lost in New York Podcast In this episode of Old Millennials Remember Movies, Tyler and Angela (okay, mostly Tyler) marvel at all the hoops "Lost in New York" must jump through just to rehash the first movie. How can John Heard and Catherine O'Hara screw up as parents again!? Don't worry, they never lose their luggage. Did you love Joe Pesci in "The Irishman?" Great, because he's also in "Home Alone 2." Couldn't get enough Daniel Stern in "Bushwacked?" He's back too! In the Lost in New York podcast, we discuss how the real Plaza Hotel probably shouldn't have allowed their staff to look so idiotic and creepy in a big Hollywood blockbuster. We also dig deep into Pigeon Lady (homeless or not?), as well as Kevin's not-insulting-at-all advice that equates complicated human relationships with GD roller blades. Also, we can't ignore the presidential cameo. Sorry in advance. How many bricks to the head can a man truly endure before experiencing severe brain damage (it's more than three, apparently)? How often do electrocutions turn people (briefly) into skeletons? How are these robbers not DEAD?! Most importantly, the Old Millennials are here to remind all the kids out there how Kevin's genius little schemes are actually almost always complete failures. Just call the cops, kids. Right away. The bad guys are getting more than coal for Christmas this year. When the "Wet Bandits" arrive in NYC rebranded as the "Sticky Bandits", they plan to steal a large charity donation for a children's hospital. But Kevin McCallister is back and he isn't gonna stand for this crap. facebook.com/nextlevelnerd patreon.com/nextlevelnerd nextlevelnerd.com

And after an unintentional week off, we're back and covering the 2015 comedy-film, The Night Before! Will Julia and Thom make like Miley Cyrus and come in like a wrecking ball when talking about this movie, or is there enough underlying heart to it where Anthony can make a convincing case in its favor? Did Thom's trip to New York make Anthony change his mind about whether or not his co-host is "the worst"? Will the elves agree about the use of Christmas in Hollis in this movie? And will Thom's new derivation of the word "Rudolph" become a thing, or is it never going to happen? All of this and much more are discussed in this fun episode dissecting a movie about three childhood friends who become three wise men over the course of one Christmas Eve night in New York! So settle back with a cup of hot cocoa, enjoy, and get excited - because as of next week, we are officially under 40 weeks until Christmas! (And Tis the Podcast has a lot of fun stuff coming up on the horizon very soon, besides our normal weekly episodes, so stay tuned!)
Home Alone is the story of a sadistic child who attempts to torture and murder a couple of lowly criminals. This week Joe and Tiana empathize with the infamous Wet Bandits aka Sticky Bandits aka Harry and Marv. What can every homeless person use? I know, a ceramic bird ornament. For the tree they don’t have. This episode we talk about another 90s classic movie, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. Written by John Hughes and directed by Chris Columbus, this great 90s movie brings up a few great topics of discussion like: The Talkboy and other Tiger Electronics games All adults in general in this movie are horrible people Donald Trump and his cameo Ram-Man is the only person who can sustain the head trauma that Marv encountered Just how many times did the Sticky Bandits die? And for the love of God, can someone please tell me what Uncle Rob does for a living?
Dear Kevin, Sweetie and Sweety think you should definitely get rid of your family because they are trash. Go live with Mr. Duncan or maybe the pigeon lady (Maggie?) in the park....your life will be better and people will appreciate you. K bye. The Sweeties To get in the Christmas spirit, we're covering a couple holiday films including this beloved sequel, Home Alone 2! The unbelievability is off the charts with this one as Kevin is somehow left behind on a family trip again and runs into his old nemeses the Wet Bandits now known as the Sticky Bandits in NYC. Join us for a rousing discussion of why the McCallisters are dumb as it gets, why the biggest plot hole in this movie involves a stick of Zebra Stripe gum, and how Marv and Harry should have died 20 times over by the end of the film. Happy Christmas to all you Sweeties out there!
All aboard the incorrect flight to New York!! This week your hosts Justin, Eliz and Tyler talk Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, and they are joined by special guest Terrie Snell who played Aunt Leslie in the first two films. Stay tuned for her interview at the end of the episode! Star ratings help us build our audience! Please rate/review/subscribe to us on Apple Podcasts or wherever you listen, and share us with your Aunt Leslie. Email us at sequelrights@gmail.com with feedback or suggestions on future franchises! Special Guest: Terrie Snell.
Andy is in Poland for work so the bros have a guest co-host, friend and fan of the show Sean Connell. Jimmy loses connection about 10 minutes in and Sean fills in admirably for both of Pat's missing co-hosts. We shoot the shit and talk the Bears heart wrenching week 1 loss to the Packers, Henry Cavill and the weird Superman/DC situatiom, COD Blackout Mode, and Sticky Bandits softball. Segments include Urban Spelling Bee and Hall of Fame of Freezer Foods.
For our holiday special we get the MARK AS PLAYED family together to spend time away from their families. Which is a totally normal thing for movie podcasters, but also makes more sense as our subject for our first Christmas episode on Christmas movies that remove the family from the characters' lives. Our main focus is EYES WIDE SHUT but as usual with a Stanley Kubrick film, HOME ALONE will and Frank Capra's IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE will inevitably come up (if I had a nickel for every time that the Sticky Bandits were brought up in a FULL METAL JACKET discussion). More importantly we recommend two more great podcasts in THE FLICKS PODCAST and THE BROKEN BRAIN. Our gift to you, along with this episode. Happy holidays! What do you get when you when you have a sociopathic 12-year-old face off against two burglars in New York? You get the 1992 hit sequel Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. Don’t let the title fool you, Kevin (Macaulay Culkin) knows exactly where he is going at all times. In this episode, our hosts Dan and Tyler dive into what it would actually take to survive against two burglars who are literally trying to murder you, how a Talkboy wouldn’t actually work as well as Kevin used it, and why plans/burglars should always have names. Dan discusses why Rob Schneider and Tim Curry are probably his favorite characters and valuable life lessons he learned from the Wet Bandits, now known as the Sticky Bandits. Tyler delves into why Joe Pesci is once again amazing, why you should always celebrate the little victories, and questions why there are so many open stain/shellac cans outside of an apartment building in the middle of winter. Also, they discuss why Kevin is an asshole and believes the holidays revolve around him. Stick around for what our hosts have been consuming media-wise and get ready for our next episode in which we will discuss the Netflix adaptation to Stephen King’s 1922: 1922! Any comments or questions can be sent to us at everythingwelearned@gmail.com or to our Facebook page. If you enjoyed the episode, be sure to leave a rating and review wherever you listen! Christmas movie month continues with this week’s episode, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. The holiday hijinx continue for Kevin McCallister as he is once again separated from his family during Christmas time. He runs into his old pals The Wet (no, make that) The Sticky Bandits, Harry and Marv, who have escaped from jail and are on the run. Kevin uses a wide variety of tricks and traps to find himself a hotel room, stay one step ahead of the inept hotel staff, save Mr. Duncan’s toy store and send Harry and Marv back to the big house. He even makes a lifelong friend who has some weird symbiotic relationship with a flock of pigeons. Are Kevin’s parents the most negligent people in Christmas movie history? What’s the deal with Tim Curry’s character? Why does he treat Kevin like a con man from the moment he sees him? Seriously, how bad must the Pigeon Lady smell? Where do I get a copy of Even Filthier Angels so we can review it for the show? Is there anything funnier than seeing Marv get electrocuted? Daniel Stern kills it in this movie! Have a good time listening to this one and keep the holiday cheer going.
