John and I discuss his movie, Ebony Hustle. We also talk about making it on budget and how he reached out to smaller companies to make affordable product placement deals. We also talk about how not everything is meant for us, no matter how bad we want it.******John Wayne S. III (JW) is a storyteller, producer, and director. Over his 20+ year career, JW has built a solid foundation in multiple aspects of the industry. He has amassed an unsurpassed level of experience and skill that makes him an invaluable asset in production. Whether working as a freelance or staffed producer, his fiercely unique work draws the audience into the stories of his productions. JW's career began with his serving as a PA for George Tillman's (Soul Food and Men of Honor) first film, Scenes for the Soul. When production wrapped, he continued to work with George and his partner Robert Teitel. During this time, JW delved into the world of publicity with Grammy-nominated producer Steve “Silk” Hurley, who has worked with: Michael Jackson, Prince, and Madonna. JW became Director of International A&R while with Silk, setting up and supervising agents in both the UK and Japan. Inspired by his growing knowledge of production, JW started JWS Productions. Since its inception, John Wayne S. III has produced over 200 music videos, 70 commercials, and a variety of media projects. After a brief hiatus from music, he became President /GM of DL Records, where he guided the label's trajectory and helped propel the artist Bodaiga, whose hit single “We Don't Play Dat” (produced by Lil Jon and featuring Bun B) was a global success. Eager to explore the final frontier of documentary and feature films, JW started Londyn Town Pictures. JW searched for the right project to pursue his first film before settling on Red All Over, which highlights both sides of America's hottest issue–gun violence–and offers an alternative view. When John isn't immersed in the world of entertainment, he enjoys time with his daughter in their home in Houston, Texas. Specialties: Producing, Directing, Writing. Hey, it's me, Kelly Anneken! You may know me from my recap podcasts Up Yours, Downstairs and Red All Over. Maybe you don't know me at all! But if you're listening to this, I know we have one very important thing in common. We are ob.sessed with Showtime's spooky new horror series, Yellowjackets. It's a tale as old as time. A high school girls' soccer team gets stranded in the Canadian wilderness in 1996 and resorts to cannibalism to survive…possibly for supernatural reasons. It's Lord of the Flies meets Alive meets The Craft and I just can't stop thinking about it and talking about it and trying to figure out who becomes Antler Queen! That's why I'm inviting some of the coolest, funniest Yellowjackets fans I know to chat with me on my new podcast, Blood Hive. We'll break down all the wild fan theories, hidden clues, girlcrushes, OTPs, and that bangin' 90s soundtrack. Oh, and yeah, uh—we need to talk about Misty. Welcome to Blood Hive. It's the final day of the season. And as predicted, it's gone down to the wireBrentford need to win (realistically) to stand any chance of promotion to the Premier League. But it's not in their hands. Because they also are relying on West Brom not winning. A draw would suffice if West Brom lost. A loss could open the door for Fulham to tuck in via the back door. Billy Grant and Dave Lane pontificated over what could have been last weekend. Brentford losing to relegation-threatened Stoke City when a draw or a win would have kept them in the promotion driving seat. Thomas Frank gives his thoughts on the Stoke defeat and Barnsley matchThey also looked forward to the Wednesdays crunch matches. Paul Finney from the QPR podcast 'Open all Rs' give his thoughts on whether or not Brentford's West London rivals will be bothered to turn up again West Brom on Wednesday. Plus Joe from Red All Over gives us the lowdown on Barnsley who need three points to avoid relegation to Division One. Plus Brentford fans give their honest views on how they think the season is going to pan out for the Bees

In today’s insightful episode of The Mastering Life Podcast, your host Paul Lowe interviews Frank Clark; a European Cup winner with Nottingham Forest Football Club, where he was also a manager and the club's chairman. Frank also represented Newcastle United Football Club with over 400 playing appearances. Tune-in, to hear Paul and Frank discuss the latter's career, life lessons and Frank's Book “Black & White and Red All Over”. KEY TAKEAWAYS Black & White And Red All Over is an autobiography which highlights Frank’s personal life; as well as his football life. It also opens up the nurture vs nature debate while he shares how his upbringing has been a part of who he is now. You also get influenced, may it be partly or greatly, by people you interact with. To what degree did mindset affect Frank’s progression in life? Frank says he loves professional football, but he’s not fond of spending 90 whole minutes playing on the field. But he had to concentrate and do everything he could to win the game. Frank shares lessons from the time when he was playing for Nottingham Forest. He’s satisfied with how his team are always putting out their best every time they play. Respect is important so they’ll trust you 100%. There will be challenges in life. Whether it be football or personal life, Frank says to turn it around and stay positive. Don’t be too hard on yourself and everyone in your environment. What are Frank’s insights on mentoring in life and football? Frank believes it’s very vital. It might be difficult at first. Sometimes, you think you’re just talking casually to someone you admire, but you eventually pick up good things from the conversation. For Frank, it started like that. There are different ways. BEST MOMENTS “Both nature and nurture character parts are important in character building.” “In football, it’s about acquiring the quality players that you can and then managing them to get the best talent.” “Everybody in our team knew what their job was. They never asked what they’re gonna Everybody knew what is there to do. As long as you try to do that, you’re okay.” VALUABLE RESOURCES Black & White and Red All Over by Frank Clark Speaking From Our HEARTS (Paul's Book): https://www.amazon.co.uk/Speaking-our-Hearts-Mastering-game/dp/1781332819 Emerging From The Forest (Paul's Book): Paul Lowe - ‘Emerging From The Forest’ ABOUT THE HOST Something that’s never been attached to Paul is the label ‘normal’ – for which he is immensely proud. He definitely subscribes to being one of those mentioned – in the Steve Jobs quote: “Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules... You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things... they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.” Paul Lowe is the founder of PaulLoweHEARTS – which has a three-fold purpose. Firstly, to help you make the transition from Pain to Purpose; secondly, to get your inspirational messages and stories out into the world and thirdly, to support charitable organisations in their development & fund-raising. Kelly & Molly get in a few last audible high fives, self-care horns, and Johnny Gunman jokes in their supersized recap of The Handmaid's Tale S2E13. They keep things relatively civil while discussing the finale in all its glory: searching for Gilead's version of McCall's, ascribing meaning to flowers, praising Elisabeth Moss' #1 line reading in the entire show, giggling at the young poop, slapping peepers on some excellent cinematography, establishing canon tequila drinkers, learning about digetic music cues, parsing the Commander's map, and celebrating the triumphant return of Grinch Offred. Thank you x 1 million for our biggest and best season of Red All Over yet! Keep an eye on Apple Podcasts for off-season goodies, the Facebook group for silliness and chats, and Venmo for donating to keep the episodes coming. Don't forget to recommend us to your gal pals, too! Nolite and we love you! See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Kelly & Molly use their extremely limited French vocabularies to praise The Handmaid's Tale S2E9, a stunning return to form for the Hulu series. Whitford Watch and Fallgate/Jumpgate continue as they discover the #1 reason men should watch The Handmaid's Tale, applaud Dorothy Fortenberry's excellent writing, support Max Minghella at Nick's Battle of the Bands show, diss the Waterford's alternative lifestyle, ponder the effects of the Gilead Diet, visit Toronto's blue light district, break down the Flora/Fauna/Meriwether dynamic in Disney's Sleeping Beauty, and there's lots of pandering to Ruffahoes and hometown fans. It helps us so much when you recommend Red All Over to new listeners, subscribe/rate/review us on Apple Podcasts or your favorite podcatcher, and talk with us on Facebook--many thanks for being so dedicated this season! It's difficult like 3 PM on a Monday afternoon as Kelly & Molly recap one of the season's weaker episodes. They cast Nick as a member of the Jets from West Side Story, declare St. Paul to be trash, critique Serena and June's coworking space, diss gluten-free Commanders, disagree about the symbolism of the red pen, debate the plural of "clitoris," marvel at the West Elm hospitals of the future, speculate about Rita's profesion, pitch a CE Seed series for Eden, and decide that a little Janine goes a long way. You Redheads continue to be the best fans in the game, so we know you'll never stop recommending Red All Over to your buds, subscribing/rating/reviewing us on Apple Podcasts, and contacting us on Facebook. Kelly and Molly are as disappointed by S2E7 of The Handmaid's Tale as they were by Meghan Markle's wedding dress. There are plenty of bright spots in the episode as they sound off on pansexual Lando Calrissian, Molly's Stromboli Bruce Miller impression, bringing back sexy Joseph Fiennes, the dystopian level of cozy in Gilead, infinite chances for naughty Handmaids, celebrity murderers, and Samira Wiley's Moira unlocking her MySpace account. Keep an ear out to see if you're among our many Redhead shoutouts as you continue recommending Red All Over to your buds, subscribing/rating/reviewing us on Apple Podcasts, and chatting with us on Facebook. Kelly & Molly take a ride on the Magic School Bush in their recap of The Handmaid's Tale S2E6. The new all-time upsettingness champion of the series prompts the gals to wonder where women would be if we stopped being afraid of each other, make a lot of Rambo references, invent Babbl (Gilead's search engine), call out Max Minghella's terrible acting, talk prison boyfriends and Hary Potter wands, make fun of Fred's pregnancy pillow, reveal the secret of Eden's Easy-Bake oven, and celebrate the return of Shannon. It's so helpful when you review Red All Over on Apple Podcasts, join the convo on Facebook, and recommend us to other fans of Hulu's adaptation of this Margaret Atwood classic, so please keep up the good work! Kelly & Molly are two dames like no other as they step up to the vault for this recap of The Handmaid's Tale S2E4. Along they way, they offer commentary on March Sadness, learn how babies get dimples, recommend some rosé substitutes, applaud Elisabeth Moss' Grinchy face acting, plan to eat veggies and outlive men, get spooked by the creepy VC Andrews vibes, make a few real-time corrections, explain the difference between regular cigarettes and 100s, diss the show's persistent racial blind spots, give Yvonne Strahovski the credit she deserves, and sing a lil unexpected Kelly Clarkson. S2E3 of The Handmaid's Tale on Hulu's got jokes! But not as many as your messy co-hosts Kelly & Molly, who are crackin' wise on June's fire hazard/shrine, spoilers for mother!, the return of Shhh!, ham-fisted metaphors (get it?), straws of plastic and hay, ice road truckers, serial killer boards, and driving hands. Also, seriously, when is Samira Wiley gonna be allowed to have an orgasm on prestige tv?! Damn. All this, plus the Cherry Jones Hollaback Girl singalong you didn't know you needed. Your favorite non-creepy best friends Kelly & Molly are here to break down brutally hilarious S2E2 of The Handmaid's Tale and warn you about the Gilead-esque dangers of FOSTA-SESTA. They chatter about truck lids, armpit pheromones, whether Hulu or Netflix exist in this dystopia, a number of Marisa Tomei shockers, the return of body horror, and complaints about Margaret Atwood. Both of them just say no to Bruce Miller's 10-season plan and decide it's time to stop calling Alexis Bledel Rory because her performance as Emily is so.darn.good. Strap on your speculatin' bonnets, Kelly & Molly are here to break down the latest trailer for Season 2 of Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale. In the process, the gals unsuccessfully attempt to do math, bask in the glory of their April Fools' prank, introduce Unbroken Hymen McGee, pit Handmaid funerals against teddy bear picnics, wish Connie Britton was in the HMT cast, wonder where the creme de la aunts are, talk smack about the Commander's giant, leathery thumbs, and chastise God for being so judgy. Fast tiny bitches Kelly & Molly break out the titty brooches and swan around with drinking tulle in their recap of the best movie of all time, 1998's Ever After: A Cinderella Story. They praise the heck out of stars Drew Barrymore, Angelica Huston, Melanie Lynskey and Dougray Scott, cheer the return of face acting, recast Cinderella's slipper as an Ugg boot, declare themselves a Barbie family, learn a lot from YM Magazine, pitch a morning radio show, argue about Cinderella's consent to servitude, sort out Kim Kardashian's various weddings, get misty for Prince Henry, and swing by Ye Olde Claire's to get their ears pierced. Although Hulu punked Kelly & Molly by dropping the first 3 eps of The Handmaid's Tale at once, Kelly & Molly aren't even mad. Well, Molly is mad about this episode's hotly contested Simple Minds/Breakfast Club music cue, but Kelly thinks it's brilliant. They are also mad about sapiosexuals, and they wonder if Goop survived the Gilead coup, explain the Red All Over drinking game, parse out why Gilead hates Catholics, debate the color of the Wives' dresses, try to get to 5k followers on Twitter, gush about the collected works of Caroline B. Cooney, laugh because Rory's got jokes, wonder whether the Redheads are #baggirls or #boxgirls, and celebrate the return of Sardonic Margaret Atwood.
