It was as I surmised in prior days: Benjamin Netenyahu's vested interest in Donald Trump winning the U.S. presidency in 2024 played a large role in why the deal everyone (myself included) is hailing this week wasn't reached more than a year ago. That, according to a key negotiator involved in that 2024 deal.It's not like there aren't breadcrumbs from the election cycle, either. From CBS News: "If we win, it will be very simple. It's all going to work out and very quickly."That's what candidate Donald Trump said then. Prescient, no?------With the likes of Joe Rogan and Marjorie Taylor Greene moderating and/or softening on their - get this - immigration rhetoric, how do we approach the likeminded, going forward? In a first for the podcast, we cover Pink Floyd's "Live At Pompeii" film, which was recently re-released to theatres in IMAX format. Along with restored visuals, the films' audio was reworked with a new 5.1 mix by Steven Wilson. Filmed partially inside the Amphitheatre of Pompeii and partially within a studio, the film explores their music prior to the release of "Dark Side of the Moon", and is bookended by a performance of the song Echoes, originally from the album "Meddle". Part 4 Whenever the doctrine of the Trinity comes under enemy fire, it is a direct assault upon the persons of the Godhead and thus a direct assault on God Himself.  The Apostle John understood this when in his day he contended earnestly for the verity of the Christian faith against an early form of Gnosticism called Docetism.  John shot it straight and made no bones, saying, “Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also” (1 Jn. 2:23).  Meddle with the Son and you meddle with the Father; deny a cardinal tenet of Christ's nature, and you lose the Father in the process!  You cannot have it both ways and yet the irony is, the cults insist you can.  Whether it be Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, or Christadelphians, each attack the deity of the Son of God, stripping Him of His eternal glory while at the same time insisting that they still have the Father!  Concerning the person of Christ, Jehovah's Witnesses teach that Jesus is a created spirit not differing in substance to an angel.  They believe and teach that there was a time when the blessed Son of God was not!   In part 4 of this teaching series, we confront this error and present Biblical evidence proving the deity of Christ. We're officially in the throes of SEASON 5!!! And you know that means that it's time to talk about another Pink Floyd album in our series going backwards through their discography. Last time we left our heroes, they were throwing together an album that was for a movie, but also wasn't? (i don't remember that feels like a lifetime ago). However, before that, they had achieved what would become their signature sound, with the long-crafted compilation of various "nothings" they had left on the cutting room floor throughout the years. That achievement was called "Echoes" and it takes up the entire B side of Pink Floyd's 4th (or 5th) record, "Meddle". Side A also has some songs that would become Floyd classics, such as "Fearless" and "One of These Days". It's underrated by the casual rock fan, and overrated by Floyd purists. Either way, it's a magical and important piece to the Pink Floyd journey. EDITOR'S NOTE: Brad was incorrect when he said they didn't perform the whole "Echoes" suite live in Pompeii.
