But really though what's the most famous 360? Comment your answer. George Boyd is a self employed video editor, BMX legend, and one hell of a nice human. I have been a fan of him since I was 18 so it was special to get to sit and talk with him. He was a part of a very influential group of riders from Texas called V-Club. V-Club made some big waves at the beginning of web videos becoming a thing. Thank you George for coming on the show! Hope you all enjoy.______________ Kanode Knows is supported by: BURN SLOW https://burnslow.co/ DANS COMP use promo code Kanode https://www.danscomp.com/ UNITY RIDE SHOP https://www.unityrideshop.com/ Want to be featured on the show? We discuss the concept of surviving in a post-apocalyptic world and how it relates to games and life. YouTube's @PeopleMakeGames explored Wasteland Weekend, a unique event where thousands of people role-play life in a post-apocalyptic setting. We delve into the idea of playing the wrong game and the importance of being present in the moment, the point of a game, and the cost of community. The conversation explores the themes of belonging in the family of God, the importance of vulnerability and shared burdens, earning the right to belong in a community, the logistics and planning of Wasteland Weekend, the value of sacrifice in building community, the role of community in houses of worship, the experience of shared vulnerability in authentic community, the cost of community and the risk of getting hurt, the value of grace and the cost of investment, the fascination with post-apocalyptic themes, the ancient origins of apocalyptic literature, the hopeful and revealing nature of post-apocalyptic stories, exploring human nature in post-apocalyptic narratives, poking at our fears and meditating on who we are, the Book of Revelation as an ancient apocalyptic narrative, the connection between survival and being a decent human being, the importance of kindness and decency in survival, the symbolism of burying the dead in post-apocalyptic stories, the sublime and ridiculous nature of post-apocalyptic themes, and expressing hope and excitement for creative and community-building endeavors. Corrected link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bW6EYmRX7wk&t=3s Takeaways Surviving in a post-apocalyptic world requires different skills and mindsets. Playing the wrong game can prevent us from fully experiencing and enjoying the present moment. Community is not free, but it is worth the investment of time and energy. Games can teach us valuable lessons about life, including the importance of strategy and being present. Belonging in a community requires vulnerability and shared burdens. Authentic community is built on sacrifice and investment. Post-apocalyptic themes fascinate us because they reveal our fears and explore human nature. Survival in post-apocalyptic stories often involves acts of kindness and decency. Creative and community-building endeavors give us hope and excitement. Spectrum Community School's A/V Club presents a new installment of the Lesser Known Radio Drama series entitled “The Archivist's Agency”. In the small city of Victoria, British Columbia, a cataloguing librarian is sent into the bowels of the city's archives to begin sorting through long-forgotten documents, reports, and recordings for an agency that has returned after many years of sitting idle. Its once shuttered office has been reopened by a unnamed benefactor who has given the agency's new team of investigators a mandate to solve cold case files of local phenomena that have become urban myths and ghost stories. But these stories of the supernatural all have their seeds planted in some sliver of reality. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/spectrum-community-school/message
Danach war er in seinem Lieblings-Pub: THE OLD OAK. Im CLUB LAS PIRANJAS traf er sich dann noch mit ROBBIE WILLIAMS, und lästerte über die jungen Leute, also die GEN V. Und dann geht es noch kurz um MATTHEW PERRY, weil wichtig. Intro/Outro: Graduated Engineer Soundbett: Paweł Feszczuk - Chillowanie Bomby Folge direkt herunterladen

Welcome to #Millennial, the home of pretend adulting and real STRIKE talk! We ain't crossing the picket line: why we support the WGA and SAG strikes. Writers, actors, directors, and other creators are receiving PENNIES on their streaming residuals, meanwhile corporate execs are yachting and complaining about not having money. Studios are hoping background actors will agree to one day of shooting and granting the studio perpetual ownership of their likeness with no further compensation. Other industries, like airlines and parcel shipment services, are also staring down the barrel of looming strikes. Are we at a cultural turning point in the push for workers' rights? Shoutout to unions, who got us weekends, paid sick leave, higher wages, and safer working conditions to name a few of their accomplishments. We explore some examples of historical strikes, and examine what caused them to be successful vs what caused them to fail: Flint United Auto Workers Sit-in, Memphis Sanitation Workers' strike, Postal Workers' Strike, Air traffic controllers walk-out, Hornel Minnesota Meatpackers, UPS Workers' Strike (1997), and General Motors Workers' strike (2019). AI is a hot topic across the board, but it is no stranger to controversy in the writing world: G/O Media, who owns sites like Gizmodo, A/V Club, Jezebel, io9, and Kotaku, announced that they would start testing AI-written content, a controversial announcement made days after laying off several writers. The AI articles were simply published with by an author named “Gizmodo Bot,” and one of the first ones published at the entertainment site io9 went really badly. Where is the line with using AI to streamline work? How are we continuing to use Chat GPT? This week's recommendations will literally make you cool for the summer: Glossier's Universal Pro-Retinol (Laura), after sun gel with aloe and lidocaine (Pam), and Spotify's AI DJ (Andrew). And in this week's installment of After Dark, available on Patreon and Apple Podcasts: We can't talk about AI without talking about the AI face filters that are triggering us on Tiktok. Tiktok's 'Aged' filter is either making you look like a hot granny or a melting crypt keeper. The slippery slope of using face filters on social media and on Zoom: you forget that having smooth, textureless skin isn't reality. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Though Josh Modell isn't a musician, the veteran entertainment writer has been covering music for decades. Over the course of his career, he's held prominent positions at The Onion, The A.V. Club and his current role as Executive Editor of Talkhouse. Before his work was reaching millions of readers all over the world, Modell was producing a Milwaukee-based magazine he co-founded between booking shows and working shifts at a beloved record shop. Recently, Modell — a few months removed from moving back to the Milwaukee area — met up with My First Band host Tyler Maas at Milwaukee Record headquarters to talk about his lifelong love of music, notable moments from his writing career and projects he's working on now. Over the course of the conversation, Modell talked about his record-shopping routine as a teenager, landing a job at Atomic Records, the start and cult following of Milk Magazine, his unconventional path to working at The Onion and The A.V. Club, the inner workings of the iconic "A.V. Undercover" series, his modern-day efforts at Talkhouse, and what's to come. My First Band is sponsored by Mystery Room Mastering, Lakefront Brewery and Music Go Round Greenfield. The show is edited by Jared Blohm. You can listen to My First Band on iTunes, Stitcher, Spotify and wherever else you get podcasts. You can also listen to rebroadcasts of previous My First Band episodes on WMSE every Wednesday from noon to 12:30 p.m. CST. John Charpentier is the Director of Marketing and Social-Media for the Cadillac Club known as V-Club that started in Texas in 2013.
The A.V. Club was founded as a sister publication of The Onion in 1993 for “people immersed in pop culture and entertainment media to an obsessive degree.” But the Chicago-based online publication is feeling a lot less Chicago after staffers here were told by their parent company, G/O Media, they had to move to LA or lose their jobs. All seven Chicago-based employees have decided to leave the company, saying the company left them little choice in asking them to relocate to a more expensive city without changing their salaries. A.V. Club film editor Alex Dowd, who writes under the byline A.A. Dowd, shares why he's leaving the company and what he thinks the pop culture site will lose by pulling out of Chicago. Today we'll discuss the possibility of departure from the First Realm of society (we'll explain) in pursuit of a peaceful and voluntary Second Realm. The latter is composed of temporary autonomous zones (TAZ) and permanent autonomous zones (PAZ). Joe is one of the organizers of The Midwest Peace and Liberty Fest. [An example of a TAZ]Shane is the host of the Vonu Podcast and the creator of The Free Republic of P.A.Z.NIA. [A n example of a PAZ] The conversation is largely based on a piece that Shane wrote, called TVP Intermission #50: [P.A.Z.NIA] Liberated Areas Among The Tyrannical Wasteland.OUR NEXT VIRTUAL SUMMIT IS NOW ON SEPTEMBER 11+12!Visit MindsetandMastery.com to learn more about this exciting new presentation, the topics, and bonuses JOIN THE UN-IVERSITY!You are granted access to our Un-iversity private community (and all of its clubs!) when you purchase the downloadable version of The Ideas Into Action Summit. This week we don't put out! Well actually, were putting out a podcast about LADIES AND GENTLEMEN… THE FABULOUS STAINS with A/V Club writer Katie Rife. Katie talks about STAINS being a once lost movie – its a secret handshake. There's chatting about how this influenced the Riot Grrrl movement in punk. How popular would this have been if it had a bigger release? Did it need to be a cult film to have its powerful influence? Lots of talk about producer Lou Adler. Is this where The White Stripes got their band name? Everyone has a hard time pinning down which character is the most cynical. And Raquel complains that the punk are too clean cut and that Miley Cyrus is just ripping off The Stains. The Generation Splice is film podcast where retired psychologist Dr. Raquel Martinez, a Baby Boomer through and through, & her son Raphael Jose Martinez, a cranky millennial punk rocker/former music journalist, & current film writer, discuss various films through the lens of their generation & personal experiences. Every week one host picks a film to dissect & see if they can splice together the generation gap via their love of film. Feel free to write to us! Give us some film suggestions at thegenerationsplice@gmail.com or @gensplicepod on Twitter. Raphael is on Twitter at @citycelluloid. You can find his film writing at cinefile.info and film-cred.com The show is produced by The Martinez Family & the show's theme song was written, performed, & produced by Raphael.

The Canucks squeeze out a 3-2 victory in the shootout over Alain Vigneault's Philadelphia Flyers, and you have to appreciate seeing a former key contributor to Vancouver success because there aren't that many left in the league. Vancouver's star skaters may be starting the season slow, but an emerging star between the pipes is carrying the load. Jake Virtanen is finding consistency in his game. And perhaps the Big 3 forwards should be expanded to a Big 5 as Miller and Pearson continue to roll. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

This episode of A&G was, in fact, completely produced by a local high school A/V Club (as it is every day). Included in today's procedure, Positive Sean is spotted by a hunter. Plus, eSports training, a Trump rally and someone wrote something on Reddit.
"'Watchmen' changed everything." This isn't exactly a revolutionary statement: people have been opining about the significance of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons's dystopic superhero graphic novel for 30 years. But the story of Rorschach, Dr. Manhattan and Ozymandias didn't just help launch the "grim-'n-gritty" take on the superhero genre we're still experiencing today. It also helped change many folks' expectations of what pop-culture could reflect back to us. Oliver Sava is a brilliant comics critic who writes for the A/V Club and other places, and he helps us sort through the amazing depth and breadth of "Watchmen." NOTES: Read Oliver's work at the A.V.
