So come along with us, and let us know what you think! Question(s) discussed: 1. What should I do when my players would rather be store owners than adventurers? 2. Imagine an NPC pays the party to make them famous by staging a battle or giving them credit for some heroic act. How would you do this throughout a campaign? On tonight's episode of Talkin' Thrones, it's the Season 3 debut!!! You guys know what that means, Red Wedding time! Well not quite, we've still got the first 8 episodes to get through. But we're breaking down the premiere of Season 3 of Thrones tonight, entitled "Valar Dohaeris," as the second part of the pair of phrases we were introduced to with last season's finale, Valar Morghulis! Premiering on March 13, 2013, 8 years ago, Benioff, Weiss & director Daniel Minahan picked up right from where they left off last season and showed how all the characters were going to pick up the pieces from the fallout from the end of Season 2. The characters are all in vastly different spots than they were last seaosn, some on the rise, and others on the decline. For Jon & Daenerys, it's on the upswing. Jon is now enmeshed with the wildlings, meets Mance Rayder and gains his trust, while Daenerys finds herself in Astapor to buy an army of slaves to retake Westeros. Meanwhile, things are not looking so good for Tyrion & Davos, as Davos finds himself crawling back to Stannis after the battle of Blackwater to find him completely at the whim of Melisandre and is locked away for attempting to kill her. Tyrion finds himself at a massively disadvantaged position now that Tywin is back in control of King's Landing, and exerts his control by refusing Tyrion's request to rule over Casterly Rock. Meanwhile, the Lannisters are already envious of their new allies with the Tyrells, as Margaery is making moves to endear the people to her. It's all happening here, only on the #talkintvpodcast #gameofthrones #kingslanding #northofthewall #gameofthronesrecapshow #tyrionlannister #jonsnow #margaerytyrell #tywinlannister #sansastark #littlefinger #astapor #slaversbay #unsullied --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/talkintvpodcastgmailcom/support
So here we are, the start of season 3. Welcome back, everyone! In King's Landing, the Tyrells are on the scene and Margaery is charming the pants off of everyone in sight, much to Cersei's annoyance; Daenerys is quickly going places as she sails to Astapor with bigger dragons; we finally meet the now-mythical and much-discussed Mance Rayder beyond the Wall; and, well, not much happens at Harrenhal but we still visit on our season premiere round-up.

Valar Morghulis! See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Valar Morghulis...

We survived the Battle of Winterfell ... well, most of us. As flames illuminated the darkness, we cheered. As heroes turned to one another for help, we cried. "The Long Night" was dynamic, exciting, dizzying, and maybe a touch too convenient. "Game of Thrones" Season 8 Episode 3 shifted effortlessly from action, to drama, to horror, to parable. Daddy’s back in town, which is an interesting dynamic which finds Tyrion and Cersei trying to find their place, Margaery attempts to win over the peoples’ hearts and minds, Jon sells his role as double agent, and Dany struggles with the morality of liberating a continent using slave labor. All this, plus lots of feedback! See you next week… A.Ron is writing a book about the religions of Game of Thrones. If you’d like to get in on the Kickstarter to raise funds for artists, editors, typesetters, etc. AND get some cool rewards for yourself, check it out at book.baldmove.com! On this week's installment of our Game of Thrones Series Rewatch, Dunc and K cover the Season 3 premier, "Valar Dohaeris". This episode is chock full of goodness as we meet great new characters like Missandei and Mance Rayder, see our baby dragons growing up strong, and encounter a giant for the first time along with Jon Snow. So much fun stuff to analyze this week in an episode full of servitude, extreme emotional abuse, paranoia, and coping with defeat. We really do have a lot of fun though. Bronn gets a raise, Jon advances his Wildling infiltration significantly, Davos is saved from a rock spire jutting up from the middle of the ocean, Tywin and Cersei are both loving and kind (huh?). Kick back and grab someone's chickens and ale, because this is another nice, long episode for your enjoyment, at 3:00:38. As usual, our listener feedback is also stellar this week! Thanks so much to everyone who contributed! dragons@podcastica.com facebook.com/housepodcastica twitter.com/housepodcastica instagram.com/housepodcastica podcastica.com

I'm pretty sure I can't pronounce the title, but here's Tyler and Chris' review of 'Valar Dohaeris'.
We may be into season 3, but season 1 CGI has never been stronger. Today the PGoT boys are talking about S3E1, "Valar Dohaeris". If you're into walking through poopie mud, potato onion men, and vampire lords, this is the show for you. If you're looking for comedy, you might want to try your chances somewhere else. #31 - In this episode we talk about what happened in the second half of season 4 of Game of Thrones. So SPOILERS galore on this episode. You have been warned. It is safe to say that is our current favorite show, so we have no problem discussing it at length. We talk about our favoriate characters and moments of the season so far. We discuss our favoirate: Stark, Lannister, Baratheon, Targaryen, Viper, Mountain, Little Finger, Sansa, Arya, The Hound, Tyrion, and etc... Warning: This episode is very long and boring. We tried something new and don't think it worked out too well. Hopefully, some of you will enjoy it. Category: TV
