    Ivy Insights

The Clearing the FOG podcast, hosted by Margaret Flowers and Kevin Zeese, is an exceptional show that goes beyond simply featuring interesting guests. Flowers does a remarkable job of summarizing the week's news and shedding light on important issues that mainstream media often ignores. It is refreshing to listen to a program that addresses significant topics rather than being consumed by gossip and slander like corporate media tends to be. The interviews are informative and engaging, providing listeners with a deeper understanding of what is wrong with the system, particularly in the United States.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is the inclusion of guests like Andre Vltchek, who provide invaluable insight into Latin American affairs and other pertinent subjects. The show offers listeners the opportunity to learn about these issues directly from experts in the field. Additionally, the hosts' level-headedness, well-informed perspectives, and articulate discussions make for an excellent listening experience. There is no axe-grinding here; instead, they provide great information and encourage others to become organized and politically active.

Another commendable aspect of Clearing the FOG is its commitment to featuring on-the-ground activists from important movements. Rather than getting caught up in the sensationalism surrounding Donald Trump's presidency, this podcast stays focused on real issues such as environment, war, and healthcare. The interplay between Flowers, Zeese, and their weekly guest is top-notch, creating engaging conversations that delve into historical context and passion.

However, one area where this podcast could improve is by diversifying its range of viewpoints. While it proudly presents itself as coming from "the real Left," there could be more effort made to include voices from alternative political perspectives. This would provide listeners with a more balanced understanding of various ideologies and help foster constructive dialogue among different factions.

In conclusion, The Clearing the FOG podcast stands out for its informative content and engaging discussions on pressing issues often overlooked by mainstream media. Flowers and Zeese, along with their guests, offer a wealth of knowledge and passion that inspires listeners to take action. Despite its potential for improvement in terms of including diverse viewpoints, this podcast is highly recommended for those seeking an alternative source of news and analysis.
