Chances are, if you're checking out this episode, you're looking for tools and techniques to help tune into yourself and be a better self-healer. You're probably also aware that the things we do every day can make a massive difference in how we feel as opposed to only finding healing in a bottle. In this conversation, Amy Kuretsky, L.Ac. joins us to examine the deceptively simple, yet powerful technique of breathwork. As a broad term, breathwork is about simply bringing some intention to how you are using or manipulating your breath to reach specific outcomes such as regulating energy, clearing trauma, and reprograming old beliefs. On Today's Episode of A Healthy Curiosity: What some of the differences are between types of breathwork Who often benefits the most from the type of breathwork Amy practices The benefits she found for herself through her practice How breathwork can help to unpack trauma A short example of the breathwork Amy works with Amy Kuretsky (she/her) is a breathwork facilitator and business coach working on Dakota and Anishinaabe ancestral land. Her work is focused on helping successful businesses tap into their intuition and do business differently so that they can fall back in love with their work. She uses the breath as a tool for healing and business building and has led online and in-person breathwork groups all over the world. This past year, she organized with a group of other breathwork facilitators for more anti-oppression and trauma informed training as part of the Breathwork for the People collective. Along with her coaching business, she also has a background in acupuncture and Chinese medicine and co-owns Constellation Acupuncture and Healing Arts, a healing space in NE Minneapolis. Moving past poverty mindset, affordability in pricing services, our relationship to property ownership and how we make it work when self-employed. So many juicy topics in my conversation with Breathwork practitioner and business coach Amy Kuretsky
Ashley chats with Amy Kuretsky about the healing modality of breathwork. Amy is a breathwork facilitator and a wellness coach for mind, body, and business. Her work is focused on helping radical business owners thrive in the luminal space between work and life. She believes that the health of our physical and emotional bodies are inextricably tied to the health of our businesses and when we work in the overlap we can build businesses that are heart centered and healing both individually and for the collective. Ashley and Amy get in depth on how Amy came into healing work due to her personal medical and health experiences (during her Saturn return no less), how astrology and breathwork go hand in hand, what a typical breathwork session with her looks like, when and why you would benefit from performing breathwork with a guide, why healing is political, the disconnection between medicine and the body, and much more.Amy believes that when we’re internally stuck, we’re externally stuck so she helps women, gender non-conforming, and trans business owners move stuck energy, emotions, and old stories from the body with breathwork. Breathwork opens your creative and intuitive channels. It invites in the trust, clarity, growth, evolution, success, and more that you desire and it allows deeper relationships with your heart, your body, and your business. Welcome to a new cycle, and a new Monthly Medicine episode of Tarot for the Wild Soul! October is going to be calling us into our center like never before, assisting us in bringing the balance back into our lives — not the ego’s concept of perfect balance, but the organic spiral that we all walk — wild, unknown, imperfect, and aligned, even if it doesn’t make perfect sense to us. Collectively, we stepped away from that rhythm a long time ago, and we are beginning to weave the threads of it back into our lives. We have the opportunity to reclaim an aspect of our inner compass this month in a very strong and powerful way. We need only take the first step toward this reclamation for the balance to begin to restore. Today I'm giving us a little pep talk on how to get shit done. So many of us are making our own road maps as we move through our lives and businesses and that can be both super exciting and super scary. Today's episode answers the question, "What if we never figure it out?" Mentioned in this episode: Breathe/Shift: An embodied quarterly planning workshop with Amy Kuretsky and Laura Holway. Sunday 9/22, 1-4pm. https://www.amykuretsky.com/events/breathe-shift
I talk a lot about self-care because I believe taking care of yourself is absolutely essential to taking care of your business. I mean, let’s be real—in most cases, you ARE the business. But too often, I hear business owners tell themselves the story that they simply don’t have the time or money to invest in that kind of daily practice right now. So today we’re chatting about breathwork, an incredible way to connect with your intuition, work through stuck emotions that are holding you back in your business (like fear and self-doubt!), and unleash your potential in a whole new way. If you’re someone who feels like your own needs are constantly falling to the back burner while trying to get business results (but still not seeing the ones you want!) then this conversation around how health fuels hustle is for you.-Check out the show notes here!-So many business owners who are feeling stressed and overwhelmed are quick to tell me that they simply don’t have time for a daily self-care practice. And yet, as soon as we start working together, all of that shifts. Together, we do the thought work necessary for them to view self-care as an asset to their business and start thriving in both work AND life (because I deeply believe you can have BOTH!). If you’re struggling to calm the chaos in your head and would love some strategic coaching to uncover the one mindset shift that will make the biggest difference to you, then you’re absolutely going to want to join me for my FREE Stressed to Success coaching call. Together, we’ll clear the mental clutter and uncover the mindset shift that will make the biggest difference for you, so you can start taking the RIGHT actions, consistently, and start saying “no” to the things that aren’t bringing in results. Head over to amandadennelly.com/freecall to book. I do a limited number of these each week, so get over there and book yours today! See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Amy Kuretsky is back for a third time but this time we're talking about her newest offering, breathwork. Amy recently went through David Elliott's healer training and is now offering guided breathwork in both 1-on-1 sessions as well as through her newest subscription service, Monthly Medicine. Amy and I dig into what this style of breathwork looks like, where it comes from, and what this work can do to help us continue healing our bodies, our hearts and our spirits. I'm particularly stoked about this work because I truly believe it is an invaluable tool for healing our relationships with food, our bodies, recovery from an eating disorder, healing feelings of unworthiness and body dissatisfaction and so much more. Quotes: “I found that so many creative entrepreneurs were burning the candle at both ends. They had so much going on that they were letting their health fall by the wayside. This was a community that really needed support when it came to their health.” “When it comes to our energy, our health, and fueling our hustle, it’s all about building up our reserves. So if we can do more of the things that we love doing and it brings us energy or joy, those are just as important as making money.” “Oftentimes what I see when it comes to creative entrepreneurs is that they really fear delegation.” “Done is better than perfect. Perfect is a myth and so often we hold ourselves back from completing a project or putting ourselves out there because we don’t think that either we ourselves or our work is perfect yet.” Links mentioned: Amy's Pick Your Priorities Worksheet Health Fuels Hustle Podcast Bell meditation app Faux coffee recipe The Productivity Planner Connect with Amy: Website / Podcast / Facebook / Instagram / Pinterest / Twitter On the next episode: Christina Mrozik : Website / Instagram What's something that you do to fuel your hustle?
