Season 2 Episode 27 | Assassin's Creed: Origins! Come with us to ancient Egypt where the infinitely long battle between the Assassin's and Templars began. We play as the Medjay, Bayek and his wife Aya on a quest for vengeance after the lost of their young son, yes Ubisoft come out swinging at our emotions at right in the beginning of this installment! Dodging angry hippos, overthrowing Pharos, exploring pyramids and finally playing as a named character again in the modern day storyline (it's about time!), Origins in our opinion might be one of the best installments in the franchise. Happy New Year! On 2022's first episode of The Game Dev Show we host the brilliantly talented Abubakar Salim, Founder of Silver Rain Games. Abubakar takes us through his unique journey from playing the lead role as Bayek in Assassin's Creed Origins, to creating Silver Rain Games while starring in Ridley Scott's acclaimed Raised by Wolves. We discuss the challenges and opportunities of starting a studio with EA Origins through a less trodden path, balancing the the growth of a young studio, the human side of development, and innovating the narrative experience of games.
Bruce and Kevin explore how Aya and Bayek were responsible for creating the doctrine that the Assassins follow, and how that creed has been maintained and obeyed for thousands of years. This is an EXPERT level episode, which means some parts of the discussion may not make sense unless you've played the game. Jak przez mgłę przypominam sobie [Piotr, dop. Piotr, bo wyjątkowo nie Maciek piszę ten opis] moje pierwsze zetknięcie z oryginalnym Shadow Warriorem. 1997, a może 1999, ciężko sobie przypomnieć. Szara skrzynka peceta, wykonana z taniego plastiku, okalająca monstrum pokroju Pentium 166MHz, 16MB pamięci RAM i kartą w standardzie SVGA z max 1MB pamięci wbudowanej, jasny blask monitora CRT i mały Piotr, zafascynowany możliwościami ówczesnego sprzętu elektronicznego. Spędzałem nieprzyzwoitą ilość czasu przy wyścigach w Need for Speed: Underground. Byłem i, jak zapewne wiecie, wciąż jestem fanem sportów motorowych. A 2004 rok, to również moment kiedy seria The Fast and the Furious (części pierwsza i druga) święciła swój prym na ekranach kinowych. No i omawiamy Shadow Warriora z 2013 roku.
On this week's episode, an actor seen on such shows as Black Mirror, Jamestown, and Strike, as well as the voice of Bayek of Siwa from Assassin's Creed Origins, Abubakar Salim, joins host Josiah Renaudin to discuss voice acting in AAA video games. Abu explains how he got the role of Bayek, the process of voicing and motion capturing a character, behind-the-scenes development stories, how he created his unique accent for the game, and his dream role.
Late in 2017 we saw the release of the latest instalment in the Assassins Creed anthology of games. Origins. Origins takes things right back to the beginning and the formation of the Assassins. I had the pleasure of meeting up with Abubakar Salim who plays the main character Bayek and having a beer with him whilst talking about all things AC Origins, acting in general, answering fan questions as well as realising his muppet character would be a Miss Piggy/Fozzy Bear love child! Sit back, tune in and enjoy my exclusive face to face chat with the brilliant and all round great guy Abubakar Salim. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
In the last TA Playlist game of 2017, Sam, Mark, Kevin and a great number of community members traversed the deserts of Egypt in search of vengeance, allies, and countless map icons in Assassin's Creed Origins. Sam takes the hosting duties for his first time as our resident Creed historian and thus he comes down most favorably on the game. Kevin quite enjoyed it too and shares his intriguing fan theories as to what comes next for Bayek and Aya. Mark meanwhile calls this the "final nail" in his dedication to playing the series on release every time. With your forum chatter to supplement the chat, we had another great month and a fitting conclusion to TA Playlist's first calendar year.
Well, it all comes down to this. Rocky, Tegan and Brian gather to hash out The Big One. What will come of Brian's battle against Splatoon 2? Will Tegan's assertion that What Remains of Edith Finch kill it as dead as the characters in that game? Can Rocky's raw passion for Persona 5 power it onto the list? How much more Hellblade can Rocky and Tegan stand? Where will the twin titans of Nintendo land on the list? zOMG ALL TEH DRAMA.
This holiday season saw the release of many highly anticipated triple-A games. We discuss some of favorites including Call of Duty: WW2, Wolfenstein II The New Colossus, and Assassin's Creed Origins. We also see the return of our segment Deadliest Character, where we discuss who would win in a fight between Bayek from Assassin's Creed or Hawkeye from The Avengers.
We're privileged to be joined by three prominent actors from the world of video games, all of whom appeared together in Assassin's Creed Origins. Our guests this week are Abubakar Salim (who plays main character Bayek), Alix Wilton Regan (Bayek's wife Aya) and Zora Bishop (Cleopatra). The trio share their experiences with performing in video games – which in Alix's case stretches back to 2009's Dragon Age: Origins – as well as the merits of voice recording versus motion capture and the challenges actors face as publishers turn their attention to established Hollywood talent. As always you can find all your news, analysis and insight at www.gamesindustry.biz. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
