POPULARITY
In this episode, we dig deep into the all-time classic, iconic Mario Kart series. We chat about where we all started with the series, what our personal favourites are, and what we think of an open world, Forza Horizon style take on the formula. From there, we talk about games that surprised us. Titles that we almost didn't play, gave it a crack for the hell of it, and then discovered that we loved it. Games as broad as NieR and Atelier Rorona, Star Ocean and Beyond Eyes. We also, of course, chat about all the titles releasing in the coming month. It's going to be a good one. Thanks as always for tuning in, and happy gaming!
In this episode of Eyeway Conversations, our host George Abraham talks with Prashant Ranjan Verma, General Secretary of the National Association for the Blind (NAB) Delhi, on their latest initiatives to empower visually impaired individuals. Addressing the challenge of limited access to audiobooks for people without smartphones or internet connectivity, NAB Delhi introduces Shravan. This IVR-based library allows users to call a phone number and navigate through menus using a keypad to listen to audiobooks. Features include chapter navigation, pausing/resuming playback, and easy browsing by category. Shravan is planned to integrate with Sugamya Pustakalay, a national digital library initiative, significantly expanding the book collection. Additionally, membership is free for people with print disabilities. Shravan incorporates AI for voice search, allowing users to find books by title, subject, or author. While currently better in English, advancements are being made for Hindi. Recognizing the challenges surrounding sexual and reproductive health discussions, particularly for visually impaired individuals, NAB Delhi created Aditi. This AI-powered chatbot on WhatsApp provides information in English and Hindi through text messages or voice notes, ensuring privacy and accessibility. NAB Delhi offers an immersive program called Beyond Eyes, designed to sensitize people towards blindness. Participants engage in a series of activities in a completely dark room, simulating the daily experiences of visually impaired individuals. This is followed by discussions on assistive technologies and opportunities for the blind. NAB Delhi's Music, Sports and Theater for the Blind initiative provides professional music training to blind children with musical talent. NAB Delhi also has a music group that performs at various events, including NGOs, schools, corporate offices, and prestigious auditoriums. Organizations interested in hosting the group's performance can contact NAB Delhi to discuss logistics and honorariums for the artists. Overall, this episode highlights NAB Delhi's commitment to empowering visually impaired people through innovative solutions that bridge the accessibility gap and promote inclusion.

In episode fourteen of Attack the Backlog, Marc feels their way through Beyond Eyes, a short and simple little adventure game about a young blind girl, Rae, who is searching for her cat, Nani, who left home and still hasn't returned; that's it and that's all. Beyond Eyes originally came out on Xbox One and PC back in August of 2015, and made its way to PS4 a month later in September of the same year. Anyway, something-something meowing and prowling, cheers and enjoy the show. Anyway, that's it and that's all folks. If you're feeling extra generous, you can become a patron, donate a little something-something, or subscribe to show your support for the site, the plentiful podcasts, the various videos, the absurd art, and all of the other nonsense we make over here at Pixelated Sausage. Thanks for being a fan.

The Tangent - 98: Fordz-A-Horizon This week we take on the big Nintendo Switch launch details. What we like. What we didn't like. So, needless to say there is a lot to talk about. As is usually the case, in a day or two we'll know more (when you get this podcast), but before all that, we get into Under Your Thumb. Starting off this week is Justin. He's got some things to say about Dishonored 2 having recently purchased the game. Mass Effect 3 is on his plate too, but the conversion derails into talking about how bad Mass Effect 2 was. Which leads us straight to Gary. In what will be one of many Steam games, he's got The Butterfly Sign. A detective game, but more importantly, he's playing on "Ultra". He's PC "ELITE". Or so he claims. I'll mention briefly Overwatch, where Gary is finally ranked gold on the PC. Next is Anthony, and he's got a few free Playstation Plus games. Let It Die, Hyper Light Drifter, and Everyone's Gone To The Rapture. The ladder, in which Brian had played a while back. Finally, Brian wraps the segment up with Forza Horizon 3 (which feature mainly Ford cars, according to Justin) and Beyond Eyes. Beyond that, in the news, we have of course the Nintendo Switch presentation (which we managed to figure out what time it was being broadcast), hackers unlocking the NES Classic, Razer getting their laptop prototype stolen at CES, and a Gears of War lawsuit. The Drunken Show Notes: Hackers unlock NES Classic, upload new games via USB cable Razer's show-stealing prototypes stolen from CES Microsoft Cancels Scalebound [UPDATE] Nintendo files patent relating to haptic feedback vibration system Man Launches Gears of War Lawsuit, Claims Cole Train Is Based on Him Nintendo announces new paid online service for Switch Bomberman, Street Fighter Returning On Switch Nintendo Switch Battery Life 2.5 to 6.5 Hours Depending on the Game Nintendo Switch Will Not Be Region Locked Nintendo Switch Launching March 3 Nintendo Switch's Online Services Detailed The Big List of Announcements Extras Creep us on Facebook Stalk us on Twitter Watch us on YouTube Or throw us that review on iTunes or Stitcher Questions, comments, concerns? eal life responsibilities be damned! Press Pause Radio is back with another episode on the scene and we got a shit-load to talk about as far as the new trend to hit games in a momentous way in recent months—crowd-funding/sourcing for development. Between George lamenting the melodramatic tragedy of needing to restrict his salacious hand tugging in the shower, to Andrew coining the new hashtag that no one ever asked for or wanted (#WWOD), and then there’s Ser purchasing a Wii U lot that came with a bunch games that were actually released this generation. We toss about the use of Kickstarter, IndieGogo, the inception of FIG, and all that—the act if giving money to an entity that defines are interest in these dumb things that we call video games is quite the hot button of discussion to be having. Until Dawn, Beyond Eyes, Submerged, Super Mario 3D World, Destiny, The Witcher 3, Tembo The Bad-ass Elephant, Rare Replay, Battletoad butts, and just, so much, more! Just listen to it already, I think we’ve covered enough don’t you? No guest this week because Steve is on holiday and phoning it in (as usual) to act as the guest. Kev's bought EA Access and thinks it's great. Anna doesn't.
