You'd think that Jed Clampett plus mysteries would be more fun!"Fatal Flight" is the twelfth episode of the second season of Barnaby Jones. The episode first aired on December 9, 1973. The series starred Buddy Ebsen, the actor best known for starring in The Beverly Hillbillies. This episode also featured Lee Meriwether, Richard Anderson, Jerry Douglas, Murray Hamilton, and Pippa Scott.Ebsen's Jones is a detective who comes out of retirement after his son is killed while working as a private investigator. In this episode — which has the feel of a plane swiftly losing acceleration — the private eye must square off against live wires, parachuting hippies, and over-the-top Foley artists. Hvordan det sårbare kan skabe en fælles styrke i os som mennesker, fordi din sårbarhed skaber lidt mere plads til min. it’s just like Mad Men but with Roanld Reagan instead of Don Draper! Because on this episode of This is the President, we delve into an entirely new collection of presidential recordings - the Ronald Reagan Dictaphone Library. For the kids out there, a dictaphone was a device that you’d use to record letters so your secretary would type them while you were drinking highballs with the newest steno pool employee on your lap. Except not in Reagan’s case. Maybe while Emmanuel Lewis was sitting in Nancy’s lap. But we digress…. On the morning of March 3, 1981, a newly inagurated Ronald Reagan was recording a number of letters to supporters and well-wishers. One of these well wishers was Buddy Ebsen, better known as Jed Clampett from The Beverly Hillbillies - and a long time Republican. But Buddy wasn’t just wishing his pal Ronald Reagan have a great presidency - no there was more on Jed Clampett’s agenda. You see, Mr. Ebsen had just produced his first big time play, “Turn to the Left.” And was inviting the President and Nancy to the opening in California. So, what starts out as a normal letter dictated by Roanld Reagan on March 3, 1981, soon takes a turn, as we discover that shortly after writing ths letter, Reagan tried to pull a few strings for his old friend Jed.

Kiki Ebsen is a dynamic singer, songwriter, musician and artist whose vast musical range combines elements of jazz, pop, classical and rock. Whether singing standards from the Great American Songbook, classic rock covers or her own original compositions, Kiki has a style that is uniquely her own. For over 20 years, Ebsen was heralded as a talented vocalist and gifted keyboard player, supporting Grammy-winning and platinum-selling artists, including Christopher Cross, Al Jarreau, Tracy Chapman, Michael McDonald, and Boz Scaggs.Best known today as a popular solo singer and ensemble vocalist, Kiki performs regularly in three productions she created. There’s "To Dad with Love: A Tribute to Buddy Ebsen", a multimedia jazz/cabaret homage to her father; "An Evening with Kiki Ebsen", focusing on her original songs and uniquely styled covers and standards; and, "Kiki Ebsen’s Joni Mitchell Project", a collection of top Los Angeles musicians including Grant Geissman, Terry Wollman, Matt Starr, and Steven Lawrence, performing a wide variety of songs penned by the iconic Joni Mitchell.
Blake Edwards' 1961 classic, "Breakfast at Tiffany's," is a madcap romantic romp about an extraordinarily well-dressed New York City courtesan and her dapper male prostitute neighbor. This movie has it all: call girls, gigolos, yellow face, cat abuse, statutory rape, the mafia, and even O.J. (Berman, not Simpson). Audrey Hepburn plays Holly Golightly, a quirky victim of child molestation who re-enacts her victimhood over and over again by prostituting herself to older men who provide her with resources. Holly also helps facilitate the continued activities of an incarcerated narcotics kingpin, Sally Tomato. George Peppard plays Paul Varjak, a writer-turned-paid-dick-slinger who hasn’t produced anything in years until meeting his muse, Holly. Paul initially pretends like he understands and accepts Holly for who she is, but needs her to change everything about herself in order for them to live happily ever after. Mickey Rooney plays Mr. Yunioshi, an ultra-racist caricature of a Japanese person who was so offensive everyone involved was forced to apologize for decades. Buddy Ebsen plays Doc Golightly, a pedophiliac Texan who married 14-year-old Holly and tracked her down in New York years after her escape. We are supposed to think he’s a good dude and feel sorry for him because he first pulled Holly and her brother out of the gutter before inviting her into his marital bed. Calabasas, Calif. (15 August 2014): Singer-songwriter Kiki Ebsen stubbornly refused her famous father's repeated suggestions to learn how to sing jazz standards. Rebelliously she insisted upon forging her own path as a solo artist and accompanying keyboardist-vocalist with a bevy of A-list pop stars. Eleven years after the passing of her dad, actor Buddy Ebsen, Kiki will pay tribute by releasing exactly the type of collection he fervently urged her to record, “Scarecrow Sessions” on September 30 on the Painted Pony Media label. The material comes from The Great American Songbook, a stunning original (“Missing You”) penned by the song and dance man turned movie and television star, and songs associated with his career, including an ill-fated starring role in “The Wizard Of Oz.” The first single prefacing the acoustic jazz set produced by David Mann, “If I Only Had A Brain,” is the No. 2 most added radio single this week. “We are losing the iconic talents many of us grew up with. By recording these songs, I hope not only to honor my father's memory and his love of jazz, but to create a musical statement that is truly my own. I'm connecting his past to my present in a way that will no doubt leave me forever changed,” said Ebsen, who completed the album as a Father's Day offering after a successful Kickstarter campaign. “Through this journey I have discovered my voice. A simple yet beautiful tone that emanates from a true place in my heart; a place of lightness and ease.”
